Chapter 92 - Chapter 92: Naive Ah Yin

Chapter 92: Naive Ah Yin

Just as Qi Tian realized the identity of the woman he had possessed, the system's mission notification appeared in his mind right on cue.

[Current Mission: Change Ah Yin's fate of sacrificing herself to Tang Hao.]

[Stage Reward: You may cultivate using Ah Yin's body. All soul power gained will be transferred back to your main body.]

[Final Reward: [Blue Silver Emperor Martial Soul] — your Blue Silver King will awaken once more into the Blue Silver Emperor!]

"So I really did possess Ah Yin this time!"

Qi Tian examined Ah Yin's current soul power—she was already at rank fifty, just one step away from condensing another soul ring to break through to Soul King.

Hundred-thousand-year soul beasts that transformed into human form went through three stages: the infant stage, the maturity stage, and the divinity stage.

Before reaching Soul Emperor, they remained in the infant stage. During this period, they could condense their own soul rings, but Soul Douluo or Titled Douluo could easily see through their true identity.

This stage was the most dangerous.

Because after taking human form, their strength dropped drastically—but killing them still yielded hundred-thousand-year soul rings and soul bones.

Furthermore, they needed to interact with talented humans to absorb "human aura" and raise their cultivation until they reached maturity as quickly as possible.

Ah Yin was currently in exactly that stage—extremely vulnerable.

Qi Tian thought for a moment and decided to scare her on purpose:

"Well, well, well. What luck! I actually ran into a transformed soul beast!"

Ah Yin panicked when she realized her identity had been exposed.

"What are you planning to do?"

"What else? I'm going to take full control of your body, return to my place, and have you sacrifice your soul rings and soul bone to me!" Qi Tian said casually.

After saying that, he stood up as if preparing to leave.

"Wait! No! Don't!" Ah Yin cried out, flustered.

She had lived among humans for more than ten years, always cautiously suppressing her identity.

She didn't even participate in high-level academy tournaments because she feared being exposed.

Yet now—she had just graduated from a top-tier academy, only to be caught by Qi Tian the moment she started exploring the continent. She was so frightened that she lost her mental composure entirely.

"If you don't want to die, why are you wandering around the human world?" Qi Tian asked.

Ah Yin answered helplessly, "In the infant stage, transformed soul beasts need to live among humans to grow and cultivate…"

"Then why not stay inside a mid-level or advanced soul master academy to cultivate safely?" Qi Tian pressed.

Directors of advanced academies were usually just Soul Emperors or Soul Sages.

Only royal academies had a Soul Douluo or above as their guardian.

She could easily have cultivated safely until reaching maturity.

"I… I saw other human soul masters roaming the continent after graduation… so I wanted to try too!"

"And also…"

As the Blue Silver Emperor, she possessed unique traits.

As long as she didn't want to die, very few people could actually kill her. That was the source of her confidence in exploring the continent.

She never expected to be caught by Qi Tian right after beginning her journey. Regret filled her heart.

Being killed and being forced to sacrifice were two completely different things. She wasn't afraid of dying in battle—but she was terrified of being forced into a sacrificial ritual.

But she didn't dare reveal this secret, afraid Qi Tian might use it against her.

Qi Tian was speechless and changed the topic.

"Where are we right now?"

Ah Yin froze.

"Is… is this guy lost?"

Hope flickered in her heart. If she could mislead him and stall for time, maybe his mysterious possession skill would eventually end, and she could escape.

"We're currently in the Star Luo Empire—"

Before she finished, Qi Tian interrupted:

"No, that's wrong. We should be in the northern region of the Heaven Dou Empire."

He had visited the Star Luo Empire before.

The climate of the two nations was totally different.

Snow-capped mountains could be seen nearby—there was no way this was the Star Luo Empire.

"I'm guessing we're in the Kingdom of Haagen-Dazs right now, aren't we?" Qi Tian asked.

Ah Yin froze. She hadn't expected him to be this hard to fool—he saw straight through her lie.

Once he confirmed their location, Qi Tian immediately rushed southeast at full speed.

"Where are you taking me?" Ah Yin asked anxiously.

She feared that Qi Tian really intended to drag her somewhere to force a sacrifice. If that was the case, she would have preferred not to transform at all and simply face the heavenly tribulation a thousand years later!

"To Spirit City!" Qi Tian said, deliberately trying to scare her.

As expected, upon hearing the words "Spirit City," Ah Yin's heart sank into despair.

Even as a soul beast, she knew that place was the holy land of human soul masters—experts everywhere, many of whom could instantly see through her identity.

"Can you please… let me go…" Her voice trembled, already on the verge of tears, sounding like a frightened young girl.

Of course, Qi Tian had no intention of taking her to Spirit City. His real destination was Heaven Dou City.

Since he had returned to the past, he wanted to check whether the immortal herbs at the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well still existed.

If the herbs were still there, he also wanted to test something— If he took the herbs now, would the ones he transplanted in the future remain?

If they didn't disappear, he could essentially farm another wave of treasures for free.

And if he let Ah Yin consume one immortal herb, she could quickly break through to rank sixty.

Once she entered the maturity stage, her aura would be almost indistinguishable from that of humans, greatly reducing the risk of her identity being exposed.

Ah Yin spent the entire day traveling in fear while Qi Tian controlled her body.

It wasn't until deep into the night that she finally regained control.

Ah Yin patted her chest in lingering fear.

"That was close… so he can only control me for one day?"

"Good thing the Kingdom of Haagen-Dazs is far from Spirit City, or I'd be done for! But how exactly is he controlling me…?"

Still shaken, she decided to stay as far away from Spirit City as possible to avoid falling into that mysterious ability again.

"Should I return to the Blue Silver Forest? No, that's too close to Spirit City. If I travel at full speed, I might reach there in a day!"

"I heard Heaven Dou City is really lively. I've never been there before… maybe I should go take a look!"

Heaven Dou City was thousands of miles from Spirit City. She figured it was safer to go somewhere far away. Although the city also had its share of high-level soul masters, she wasn't that worried. After all, she was the Blue Silver Emperor.

What Qi Tian didn't know was that the lie he casually made up had ended up guiding Ah Yin directly toward the very place he wanted her to go.

A few days later, Qi Tian once again possessed Ah Yin's body—and was surprised to discover that she had already arrived near Heaven Dou City.

Even more surprising, Ah Yin had broken through to rank fifty-one, becoming a Soul King.

"What a waste," Qi Tian muttered.

He didn't understand soul beast cultivation and didn't know how to condense soul rings, so the breakthrough level's potential had been squandered.

When Ah Yin regained consciousness, she felt some soreness in her chest and an unusual sensation—her body once again out of her control.

She instantly knew that the mysterious man had possessed her again.

But this time, Ah Yin wasn't nearly as panicked. They were very far from Spirit City now.

Qi Tian walked through the familiar streets, then headed straight for Sunset Forest.

He had traveled to the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well many times, and he knew exactly which routes had fewer soul beasts and which paths were safest.

So throughout the entire journey, Qi Tian experienced no harassment or attacks from soul beasts.
