After buying the Enhancement Potion, Bai Qiu began browsing through the other items.
In truth, he had planned to buy two bottles of every potion as backup.
However, after recalling that his Dragonfang balance was only around 11,000, he decided to look through the entire shop first before making any final purchases.
Special Fruit Page
Strength Fruit (D-Rank)
When consumed, it slightly increases Strength.
The lower the current stat, the greater the boost.
Once Strength reaches D-rank, the fruit has no effect.
Consuming a second one provides no further benefit.
Price: 200 Dragon Fangs
Stock: 5/5
Mana Fruit (D-Rank)
When consumed, it slightly increases Mana.
The lower the current stat, the greater the boost.
Once Mana reaches D-rank, the fruit has no effect.
Consuming a second one provides no further benefit.
Price: 200 Dragon Fangs
Stock: 4/5
Tenacity Fruit, Agility Fruit...
All four fruits were quite good.
Unfortunately, for Bai Qiu—whose lowest stat was already D+—they would have no effect at all.
However, for someone like Zhang Shiyao, whose attributes were still very low, these fruits were extremely valuable.
If he had enough Dragon Fangs left later, Bai Qiu didn't mind buying them for her.
Spirit Fruit (C-Rank)
When consumed, grants a new attribute — Spirit Power.
Can only be used once.
If the user already has Spirit Power, it slightly increases that stat instead.
Price: 10.000 Dragon Fangs
Stock: 1/1
Another unique item, and it was even more expensive than the Enhancement Potion!
Bai Qiu was a little surprised, but he also understood the importance of this fruit.
Adding an entirely new fifth attribute to one's base stats — how could such an item not be powerful?
Still, he didn't rush to buy it.
Instead, he looked at the equipment section.
Most of the listings there were armor sets or individual pieces, similar in strength to his current Dragon Slayer Set.
Only one particular armor stood out for being much more expensive than the rest.
Magia Armor (C-Rank)
When embedded with a Magic Stone, it can block all physical and magical damage of D-rank and below.
Using its Barrier Skill can block one C-rank Noble Phantasm attack!
Price: 8,000 Dragon Fangs
Stock: 1/1
Although this armor wasn't as costly as the Spirit Fruit, it required Magic Stones to function properly.
Each use of the Barrier Skill consumed one stone, and a single Magic Stone cost 1,000 Dragon Fangs.
Ordinary players couldn't afford to maintain this equipment — and Bai Qiu was no exception.
Moreover, this was just a single piece of armor, not an entire set.
Next, he browsed through the Item Card Page.
Upon opening it, he found that aside from the six basic cards he had already collected, there were also several special types — though these didn't directly enhance stats.
For example, he spotted the Fusion Card, which he had obtained before.
However, all cards beyond the basic tier were quite expensive.
Rank-Up Card (C-Rank)
Effect: Can be used on an Item Card to increase its rank by one tier.
Cannot be used on C-rank cards.
Price: 1,000 Dragon Fangs
Stock: 3/3
Tier-Boost Card (C-Rank)
Effect: Used on an Item Card to enhance its quality.
Requires special materials depending on the card type.
Price: 5,000 Dragon Fangs
Stock: 1/1
Extra Item Card Slot (B-Rank)
Effect: Permanently adds one extra equipment slot.
Price: 10.000 Dragon Fangs
Stock: 1/1
Apparently, all items that raised upper limits were extremely expensive — and this was also the first B-rank product Bai Qiu had ever encountered.
It was completely beyond his budget.
Next up were the Skill Cards and Weapon Cards.
The skills were mostly E–C rank, priced between 1,000 to 4,000 Dragon Fangs.
After browsing through them all, Bai Qiu found nothing particularly appealing — either they were too weak to bother with, or too expensive to afford.
However, one special skill immediately caught his attention.
Loot Recovery (D-Rank)
Type: Passive
Effect: Within a 1,000-meter radius, all items dropped by enemies you kill are automatically collected into your Storage Card.
Price: 3,200 Dragon Fangs
Stock: 99/99
Purchase!
Finally, it was time to check the Weapon Cards.
Bai Qiu first searched under the polearm category, and eventually chose a D-rank Darksteel Heavy Spear.
Darksteel Heavy Spear (D-Rank)
Description: A weapon with excellent durability and power, though its weight — a hefty 135 kg — makes it difficult to handle.
Price: 1,200 Dragon Fangs
Stock: 1/1
He had his reasons for choosing this particular spear.
Other basic spears were either too light and short, or too fragile.
The C-rank polearms came with special effects but were far too expensive — with his remaining Dragon Fangs, he could only afford one of them at most, and there were still other things he wanted to buy.
The Darksteel Heavy Spear, on the other hand, could be easily wielded with his C– strength, and its length and shape were quite similar to his previous Steel Spear.
Most importantly, it was sturdy and reliable, capable of withstanding wear even when using his Noble Phantasm.
The spear was entirely jet-black, measuring 2.35 meters in total length, with a 40 cm spearhead shaped somewhat like a pen tip — simple and unadorned, yet imposing.
Next, he searched the bow and arrow section.
He needed a proper bow to hunt smaller monsters from a distance — the spear was ideal for fighting strong single targets, but with the Kill Looting skill now acquired, he could pick off enemies with arrows without having to run over and collect drops manually.
Darksteel Longbow (D-Rank)
Description: A bow with excellent durability, range, and power.
Requires special arrows for use.
Weighs 99 kg, and demands tremendous strength to fully draw the string.
When fully drawn, it can deal damage to enemies with C-rank physiques.
Maximum range: 2,500 meters.
Price: 2,000 Dragon Fangs
Stock: 1/1
Bai Qiu was instantly drawn to the bow and bought it on the spot.
However, once he found the matching arrows, he couldn't help but regret it.
Darksteel Quiver (D-Rank)
Description: Consumes mana to generate one 1.2-meter-long Darksteel Arrow every 10 seconds, up to a maximum of 10 arrows.
Arrows can be retrieved and reused.
Price: 4,000 Dragon Fangs
Stock: 1/1
Gritting his teeth, Bai Qiu decided to buy it anyway — after all, without it, his newly purchased Darksteel Longbow would be useless.
When he realized that buying these two D-rank weapons together cost him as much as a single C-rank weapon, he couldn't help but feel a pang of pain in his heart.
With that, Bai Qiu had finished purchasing all the equipment he needed.
He spent the remaining thousand or so Dragon Fangs on potions and four attribute-enhancing fruits.
Remaining Common Dragon Fangs: 1
Remaining Rare Dragon Fangs: 0
Yes — he had even exchanged all his Rare Dragon Fangs for Common ones to afford more items.
One Rare Dragon Fang could be traded for 10 Common Dragon Fangs, and one Precious Dragon Fang could be exchanged for 30 Rare ones, equaling 300 Common Dragon Fangs in total.
"Thank you for your patronage, outstanding adventurer!"
The magic merchant said cheerfully, clearly pleased that Bai Qiu had bought so many things.
After completing his purchases, Bai Qiu turned to the merchant and asked,
"How long will you be staying here?"
The question caught the attention of others waiting nearby — even those who had grown impatient perked up their ears to listen.
"Seven days!" the magic merchant replied.
"I will remain here for seven days, and after that, I'll be leaving this place.
Please make good use of the time, adventurer — I'm sure there are still many things you wish to buy!"
