"Lotad, did you meet any trouble?" My question distracted the first Ludicolo who eat the Pokémon food, and it stare at me with the worried face.
"Gol!" Like the response of my question, a blue duck with a red bead on its head appears over the river. It also smelled the aroma of Pokémon foods and threaten Lotads with its scary face, seems it always bullies Lotad that is the reason they are so hungry.
"Shit, Golduck level is too high, we couldn't defeat it without cooperate with these Lotads." Lotad are shocked by the Golduck and I think it is not the time to battle, retreat is the best solution.
"Don't care the Pokémon food, everyone, follow me!" I deduce the target of Golduck is the Pokémon food so if we give up easily, it will not chase us. Obviously, my projection is true, and we are safe for a period.
"If we don't resist, I will not protect you forever, even my first Pokémon is Torchic, it is fire type and disadvantage when it is facing water type, so I need your power to cooperate exile Golduck!" I persuade them to help me defeated the troublesome existence and Lotad is water + grass type, the water moves only have one-quarter damage. Even the level could not reach the Golduck, at least we saw the hope to win.

"Gol~" The ember did limited damage to Golduck, and it still alive like nothing happened.
"Dodge it, Torchic!" the speed of the Torchic also is fast due to smaller body size, make the hydro pump almost hit Torchic missed. The power of hydro pump is strong, I even think the Torchic's weakness isn't water, also have a risk one-hit killed. My heart is tight before ensured Torchic dodge successfully.
"Torchic, one more time ember!" I command repeatedly
"Torc!" This time the Golduck lazy to dodge, last time ember almost didn't make damage for it, it directly charges for the next hydro pump. Not at this instance, wait more time, I stare at Golduck and wait the best moment!
At the hydro pump out of its mouth, I quickly command to Lotads behind us. 'Razor leaf, absorb!'
"Lot!" every Lotad know different grass moves, whether the Rozor leaf or absorb is being released by Lotad at the moment.
"Gol" The Golduck felt the trainer is fool, ask the Torchic to use a grass type move, then it realized something wrong and heard the sound of Lotads came from behind.
"Gol!" All attacks from Lotads hit the Golduck, although the level difference between Golduck and Lotads is large, the effective move also make the Golduck kneels one leg on the ground. On the other hand, the Torchic already dodged without my command.
"Gol~" The Golduck's iris become red seems actually felt embarrassing that made by the Lotads' attacks. It still doesn't give up and use the hydro pump again. It deals a big damage to the leader of the Lotads, other Lotads quickly revenge and some support it from back to reduce the stamina need to use to resist the force of hydro pump.
As the Golduck attention at another side. 'Torchic, use maximum power, peck!' I command Torchic to attack. Due to enough time to charge the peck even prolong the Torchic's peak.
Torchic's attack interrupts the Golduck move, and other grass moves also hit it completely, Golduck totally lost the battle ability, it standed up quickly and want to flee but other Lotads totally surrounded its way.
"Stop bullying the Lotads, they are innocent. If you hunger, you can have a group work with Lotads to collect the berries." I suggest it, I am not afraid it betray after I left because the Lotad already learnt how to resist it, uses the stamina to collect food itself rather than bullying Lotads.
"Lot!" The leader of Lotads approach it and give a grin.
"Gol!" Golduck put its hand on Lotad's forehead because Lotad doesn't have any hand before evolving.
Finally, my first emergency in trip solved, I clean up the messy made by the battle just now and ready to start my trip to Oldale Town.
"Lot! Lot!" The Lotad who is the leader appear in front. It looks back and nods its head slightly with partners.
"Lot~Lot~" The response of others like farewell for it.
"Emm, I hope my guess is correct. Do you want to follow me?" I asked it with expected face.
"Lot!" It nods its head strongly.
I take out my Pokéball and touch the Lotad, it went into Pokéball, and it never shake after the 'Pong' sound.
"Yes! I got Lotad." Although Torchic looks me like the fool, I think this is the rite to celebrate my line-up new member.
