Liam whispered "Can you please leave. If you're ambitious, if you have something to live for, don't let me take that away from you."
"Listen, Liam," Mr. N chose his next words wisely, he knew it. Liam's chains weren't holding him in that cage. He was."
However despite the rumors of Liam being this "Dragon of Death" capable of destroying entire nations in a single night. A human weapon of mass destruction, a natural disaster.
In reality he was just a man, just like him, and that didn't disappoint him...
Mr. N wasn't surprised. He wasn't shocked.
He sympathized.
Humanity, in its tragedy, was beautiful.
Mr. N spoke, His voice was steady but low, like he was afraid the walls might be listening ."I know your mother… and I know what she's capable of. She controls the largest human trafficking network on the planet. Capturing. Abusing. Sacrificing men, women, children — anyone she deems 'useful' to the cause."
His eyes narrowed.
"And the more she sacrifices… the stronger she becomes. She feeds off darkness. Off pain. That energy—" he paused, choosing his words carefully, "—it's not human anymore. It's something far colder. Deeper."
He shifted forward slightly, his voice tightening.
"It's Lucifer like."
Lilith Lovecraft Was Pure Evil
Silence….
He continued " I'm a politician, I know who she supplies. I can stop her and expose her for good. But I will need your help."
Liam's expression twists into a shadow of disdain, his features darkening with quiet contempt.
"So you knew? A quiet sadness washed over him. Mr. N's determination is slightly crumbling.
Liam: "You knew what she's been doing for over 20 years, and now you decide to act?"
Mr.N tries to elaborate "I was a boy 20 years ago, Liam. There was nothing I could have done. I am sorry on behalf of the Unit—"
Liam cuts him off.
"Is that it?" Liam's voice shook. "Is that what you see when you look at me?"
"A broken boy in a man's body. A monster with human emotions. A victim of my own flesh and blood."Tortured for years? Violated, leaving me powerless to resist their degeneracy."
Mr. N's eyes grow wide in shock, Liam continues.
"And now you decide to help? There are thousands of children out there just like me being trafficked as we speak. It's too late for us. My brain is already broken. "Do you know what it feels like... to know I'll never be normal again?"
Mr. N tried not to break.
He tried to breathe through it.
But as he looked at him—chained, trembling, barely holding himself upright—he saw no prophecy. No weapon. No war-bound creature of fate. Looking past his muscles and stature.
This wasn't a dragon.
This wasn't a monster destined to wage war. To help him become the "Monarch".
He was just a boy.
A boy carved open by hands that were supposed to protect him. A boy made into something else, twisted, feared, forgotten. And in that moment, all the missions, all the directives, all the talk of sacrifice and salvation... it all felt so goddamn small.
And for the first time… he wasn't lying.
The words weren't part of a script or a manipulation. Mr. N came here simply to add a powerful fighter to his army to start a revolution. But his goals changed.
He felt that he finally felt human; he felt — raw and unfiltered.
The actual, undeniable need to save this person.
Not for the world.
Not for the war.
But for him.
For the boy who had been left behind.
The chains rattled as Liam's muscles flexe, the air grew heavier. As Mr. N started to feel visions of death creeping up his leg. He simply came clean.
"It can't be cured… I can't cure you, I can't fix you."
However my heart and actions are utterly unclouded. As he reaches into his back pocket he uses the key to get rid of Liam's chains putting himself in danger showing his conviction.
"I can't cure you Liam, Because you're not to be cured. You're not a lost cause, no one is, believing that is the first step to overcoming it. You won't be a victim of your circumstances forever. You can be free and live.Your not a monster- "
Liam pleads, unable to cry, you hear it in his voice.
"Then what am I? Tell me, what am I? God knows I've been searching for years-
Mr. N met his gaze with unwavering resolve, his voice firm as he replied—
"Join me, and I will turn you into a hero. We will fix this accursed world."
"That, I promise."
