Elinor stared at the being Infront of her until the candlestick flame went out, When the room became completely dark, Only then did she snap out of her bewilderment.
She crawled back into the canopy bed center to figure out what's happening to her currently.
She put her hand below her chin in thought,
She was familiar with these kind of concepts as she saw lucy reading things similar to this before '...Considering how I can't seem to know this body's name or memories then that means it isn't reincarnation, Then could it be....What was it called again...transmigration?'
she folded her arms as she stared at the canopy ceiling ' If it's transmigration, Did i get sent into the past? But this body's current purple eyes and white hair aren't a naturally occurring thing.'
She sighed in desperation, Then let out a groan accompanied with a complaint " What a he-" She paused.
Foreign language came out of her mouth, Strange words that she never heard before, Yet know them very well.
'....How convenient.' she crawled yet again out of bed, Barely able to see anything.
She saw a closed window curtain in her peripheral vision far off in the left when looking at the mirror earlier, She slowly walked as not to bump or stumble on anything, She felt what she presumed to be a carpet as she slowly reached the window after sometime. When she opened the window curtains a new sight greeted her, A forest as far as the eye can see, Bordered by black fences reaching far and pointing with arrow shaped ends, The fence extended to the left and right surrounding this side of the building, Well trimmed grass and a walkway was Infront of the fence.
She looked back at the carpet she felt earlier, It was large and encompassed the center of the room completely, A white bird of prey with a golden flower held in its beak was in the middle of the carpet, She presumed it to be the crest of this manor's noblity.
By all means, Elinor begun to structural that thought even furthe, That she actually transmigrated, A ridiculous idea that she herself didn't believe in, She rested her arms on the window's handle.
'...The aesthetic of this place screams of high stature and nobility, yet the language i speak is of foreign origin strange to these places back in my world, But i somehow understand it. This body's looks are too unnatural to be just a simple genetic mishap, It's ridiculous, Unbelievably so, But could it possibly be an actual transmigration.....'
Gripping the handle more firmly, A curse escaped her mouth "The car....No it was a truck, That damn truck has surely hit me no doubt. No person can survive that direct crash, So that confirms at least this body isn't mine." Looking back at the now moonlight lit room, She decided to gather more information about her current circumstance, Perhaps this is the afterlife? Any ridiculous theories she had seemed to hold the same weight currently.
She walked to the door, Noticing it had the same white colour and golden embellishments designed into it that she saw earlier on several furnituress. She reached to pull the door handle, Only for it to stay unshaken.
' ? '
She pulled the door handle once again, The same result. She tried to open it a couple of times more, But it stayed closed.
She found it strange to lock an injured little girl in her own room, After all only a noble girl would be allowed sleep in such an extravagant canopy bed, So she's no maid. She knocked on the door a couple of times and even called out for somebody to open the door, Of course nobody answered her this late of night.
Dismissing the door she went to look at the mirror once again, The face looking back at her felt incredibly delicate like that of a doll. Barely showing any signs of adolescent, She presumed the little girl to be around 9 to 12 years old but she's way too frail for her to be sure of her age. Looking at the liquid wax, She brought the hem of her dress to use as a makeshift brush and started writing, Lo and behold, The letters weren't any ones she's known but somehow was able to spell every one of them and structure sentences alongside this unknown language's alphabet.
She wrote every single letter and it seems the language consists of a 26 letter alphabet and somewhat complex sentence structure, She was writing them unconsciously to an extent so she wasn't sure of the rules. She cleared her throat "Ahem..."
She then recited the alphabet she always known from her world, Still crystal clear, Then wrote every letter and a couple of sentences, Still the same.
She brought her thumb below her chin in thought "I presume the only memories transferred to me are of the language of this world, Or region at least. My memories are still intact but i am unable to recall anything after the crash, So it's safe to assume i died and now i am somehow in here." Staring at the little girl's face Infront of her "Let's see..." She tested her voice, It had a high pitched squeak to it, "Good." Then she mimicked a little girl's smile, The doll like face lit up, Although her eyes were still the same, Not a single glint in them, Unfortunately that's something she couldn't change even in her previous body.
' It'll be strange for someone so young to suddenly act differently, Let's adjust the maturity.' she brought a hand over her head, Then scrunched her eye brows and closed her eyes and let out a squeal "Ugh...My head hurts."
'...This is humiliating but i must do it.'
It is needed for her to adjust her demeanor and maturity to that of a noble child.
she practiced her demenor it a couple of times until it was up to her standard. "Alight that's enough."
She checked around the room afterwards, Not finding anything particularly interesting or informative, A closet filled with dresses of obnoxious colours, A simple indoors bathroom, Besides that nothing of noticeable value.
Before closing the window curtain, She messed up the semi solid wax writing she did from earlier so that no one questions the strange letter, Then shouted a couple of times through the window but no one responded.
she then went to sleep, Her body surprisingly exhausted from running around the room for such a little time, Aching and heart pounding, She rested in the comfortable canopy bed and decided to sleep. ' If i wake up tomorrow with no one listening to my shouts I'll just make an escape using pillows and blankets through the window, princess style...I wonder if this is the body of a princess, If they asked me anything I'll just say I forgot...' Staring at the canopy ceiling, She closed her eyes, Her expression deadpan, Slowly drifting asleep.
*****
When the sun gazed upon the land with its rays, Causing the pristine manor to shine divine, The whirling of a tray cart could be heard far into the distance as it approached its destination.
Pushing the cart was a brown haired woman wearing black and white maid attire, The little lady's own personal maid, This became a routine for her ever since her lady fell high from the stairs causing her head to bleed excessively and fell into a comatose state, She's been attending her everyday for a month now. Washing her body and giving her medicine, A simple bowl filled with soup and droplets of medication, Advised to increase the rate of droplets from the head maid if her lady's health worsened.
Furrowing her brow as she approached her lady's room, She's been attending her only for a little time but her health has dramatically decreased over the course of only a month, Her worries increasing with each day.
She stood Infront of the door, Reaching for the keychain at her waist as she twisted the the door handle. Entering with the tray cart and parking it close to her lady's bed, She went to open the window's curtains, Letting what Little light could enter. Moving the sleeve of her garment in preparation as she brought a piece of dampened cloth from the tray cart, She opened the canopy bed.
"....Good morning lady Eleanor." She said in a monotonous voice, Her lips quivering. Skin as pale as snow, Hair as white as a Tylf. Everytime, Unwillingly, She opened the canopy bed curtains to see a sight that saddened her, The lady's body as still as a corpse. Maybe it was due to knowing her, Maybe it was due to her lady's energetic nature, But she never noticed the similarities between the pale corpses she saw in open coffins during burials and her lady's peaceful sleeping form. It's ridiculous, She thought it very well, This has been only a month, But at this rate, She may soon be seeing her lady's corpse in that peaceful state very soon.
She crawled into the bed and checked her temperature and breathing, Still the same as yesterday, While examining her she noticed a twitch in her lady's eye, A movement in her form, Slowly, Upon Dorothy's face, A smile crept, A smile of hope and happiness.
Her lady slowly sat up, she brought one hand over her head, Then scrunched her eye brows and while her eyes were closed she let out a squeal "Ugh...My head hurts."
Dorothy suddenly shot her body towards her, Hugging her lady's tightly, Tears made their way to her cheeks, "L-Lady Eleanor, Glad you are awake! So glad...."
*****
'.... Eleanor? Eleanor? ELEANOR?!'
While Dorothy was hugging elinor and resting her head on her shoulders, Elinor face scrunched in anger, But she quickly returned to her usual expression making sure her eyes are half closed, She brought her hands to Dorothy shoulders and moved her away slowly. "May i ask, What do you mean by Eleanor?"
Dorothy brought a finger to clear her teary eyes, Her face a little confused. "You my lady, Who's other than you i serve?"
"I am not sure, What's my full name?"
Sniffling still, Her eyes a little redden. "Eleanor Finn of the Cassius dukedom household, D-Do you not remember my lady?"
Dorothy eyes widened slightly.
Elinor opened her eyes fully, A deep dark magenta "I do not, Nor do i know you."
Dorothy expression darkened as she quickly moved to get of the bed in panic "Excuse me my lady but i must bring a doctor to examine you, I'll come back very soon!" Dorothy quickly got out of the canopy bed in a haste, Her skirt fluttering in the wind as she ran to get the doctor leaving Elinor alone.
Elinor slowly brought a hand to her face, Gripping it to an almost bruising extent, Her theory that she was transported to another reality was ridiculous enough, But to be transported to a fictional story? ' What kind of mockry is this!? Not even the main character or a supporting one, A damn bratty villanous scoundrel out of all....'
Assuring herself to calm down, She released the grip on her face and let out a sigh '.... I just need to return to my world, If i am able to be brought to a fictional story, Then i presume it's very plausible to do the opposite, Whatever and Whoever brought me here will return me back.'
coming to a conclusion she decided to not rush things quickly, First learn about this family, Kingdom, Continent, World. There should be at least one tell tale sign that could help her in returning.
Crawling out of bed and walking to the window, A swift thought that she almost forgot came to her mind, A single presence and a sentence, ' Little.... Fire?' Birds were chirping outside, The wind taking leaves with it and throwing the weak branches to the ground, The sight that's supposed to be peaceful was strangely unsettling for a reason she didn't know.
*****
Elinor stood at the edge of the bed as the doctor finished his first initial check up.
He had a stubble beard and wore big circular glasses, The glasses frame was made of brown wood, His hair had a couple of gray starnds hinting at his aging form.
"Her head injury has almost completely healed, Thankfully no scars are left. Her overall health today is better than last week, But her memory loss is indeed concerning....It could be temporary so the only prescribe i can give currently is for her to rest until further notice."
Dorothy stood besides her lady, Her facial expression brought to extreme sadness, Her lips quivering at the thought of her lady's possible amnesia. The doctor noticed her expression and let out a sigh "Dorothy dear, Please do not worry much, The possiblity of amnesia from that head injury is pretty low. It is normal for someone to have some semblance of memory loss after waking from a comatose state."
Her lips rose upwards, Not a full smile but nothing alike a pout, Her expression softening. "Don't worry about me sir Hansworth, I am fine. Will you tell the lord to come visit her soon?"
Hansworth brought his hand to his temples, Messaging it to ease himself ".....I will try." He said without looking at Dorothy.
"My good friend will assist with the checkup later today, He's quite peculiar but i bet you'll like him." Hansworth smiled at Elinor, He was concerned since she had an unreadable expression since he begun his checkup. Her eyes had an uncanny look that he couldn't decipher, He decided that a more cheerful person would do more successful in testing her cognitive functions. Besides there were too many factors and variables that needed continuous testing that he can't do currently, His initial checkup was to check the general memory loss, So signing a person to keep a continuous contact with her is for the better.
Her memory loss was quite peculiar, she couldn't identify herself, She had no understanding of who she is or her family. The language was one of the few things barely holding on, Her manners according to Dorothy are concerningly less lively than they were before.
Elinor stared at him for a moment without replying, Than smiled alike him "May i ask sir Hansworth, Why couldn't the lord visit me."
".... He's quite busy." Hansworth gave a monotonous answer, Quickly brushing off her question "No need to use any honorifics When talking about your father."
"I'll keep that in mind."

Elinor sat besides a round table sipping tea, A large white umbrella with black trim above her to protect her skin from the rays of the sun, She looked from the balcony at the courtyard below her.
It was far away from her room, This mansion was ridiculously bigger than she thought as she needed to catch her breath a couple of times and be assisted by Dorothy to reach it.
' The tea tastes awful.' she put the tea back at the saucer, Everything had those white and golden colours designed into them.
Perhaps it was a sign of wealth and purity? She didn't know exactly what's the obsession was about.
Dorothy arrived with a cart filled with simple food to stomach, Dorothy told her she's been only drinking liquids since she fell into a coma so she needed something easy to handle. Dorothy put a plate Infront of Elinor in the table, Then placed an egg sandwich atop it with a soup cup besides it.
"Thanks Dorothy, Do you know when is hansworth's friend arriving?" Dorothy finished putting the countless cutlery utensils Infront of her, Which overwhelmed to a large extent.
Dorothy beamed her a smile and answered
"Sir Hansworth friend usually comes Without much notice, But if i have to guess it'll be in the evening. By the way no need to thank me my lady!"
Elinor nodded at Dorothy and looked at the table Infront of her, The countless silverware staring back at her".... Which one should i use, Dorothy?."
Dorothy tiptoed moving besides Elinor
"Here I'll help you relearn table manners!"
Dorothy spent that afternoon relearning the basics of tabel manners and chatting casually with Dorothy, She found the young woman quite energetic.
