Chapter 24 - Chapter 24 Contract

Eira and Nisha finished reading the letters on the table, discovering that they contained information about the crops they had planted.

Whether it was crops Nisha had planted before or ones she was currently cultivating, these letters provided details.

"Ah! I never even noticed this before!"

Nisha exclaimed in annoyance upon this realization.

Such a treasure was "hidden" in her own cabin, and she hadn't paid any attention to it!

It was like missing out on a hundred million soul crystals.

These letters were no less valuable than a treasure chest reward.

Fortunately, she had invited Eira today; otherwise, she didn't know when she would have discovered this.

"Alright, alright, you know now, don't you?" Eira patted Nisha's head to comfort her.

Then, she picked up a letter, which introduced hops as a crop.

"Brewing?"

Eira murmured softly.

But Nisha heard her and asked, "Eira, can you brew?"

Eira shook her head, indicating she couldn't.

"But we can try it here. This paper says hops can be used for brewing; it's a crop specifically for brewing."

Nisha said excitedly, looking at the description of hops.

Nisha was quite interested in something as novel as brewing.

Eira looked at it and nodded in agreement.

She also wanted to see what kind of taste the wine brewed in this Dungeon would have.

Moreover, she had never even touched alcohol in her life, so she was very much looking forward to directly engaging in brewing.

"Alright, then we need to set a preliminary plan. This summer, we'll brew wine and also work on the requirements for obtaining rewards from the Dungeon."

Eira tidied up the letters on the table and then set their course of action.

"Mhm, mhm, let's go continue harvesting the wheat, and then chop trees to collect wood!"

Nisha nodded, agreeing with Eira.

Their plan was to collect more brewing supplies during the summer, then begin brewing, experience the joy of it, and fulfill the reward requirements.

"Okay."

Eira pulled Nisha along and left.

They returned to the wheat field.

Looking at the golden expanse, Nisha couldn't help but exclaim again.

"It's so beautiful!"

"Yes, it's truly lovely."

Eira followed, and then, together with Nisha, they began harvesting the wheat.

Time passed quickly; they only stayed for six days.

Every day involved watering, chopping wood, or fishing.

Sometimes, they would simply wander around idly, or sitting under a tree for shade was also a beautiful thing.

The Dungeon experience, like a vacation, left both girls feeling a sense of loss when they were forcibly kicked out of the Dungeon.

As soon as they left Stardew Valley Dungeon, before they could even regain their senses, they were pushed aside by other Adventurers.

"Damn it, it's finally my turn! I've waited until the flowers have withered!"

The Adventurer who snatched the first spot didn't care about the courtesy of yielding to ladies and rushed eagerly into the Stardew Valley Dungeon.

"Crap, that guy got ahead of us!"

"Hey, weren't you supposed to hold the spot? How did you let someone get in front of us? You're useless!"

"You thi—"

The newly vacant spot was instantly snatched, and Nisha and Eira, who had been pushed aside, were still in a daze, while the surrounding Adventurers were cursing up a storm.

The entire teleportation room was suddenly filled with the "beautiful scenery" of curses.

...

Nisha and Eira finally managed to squeeze out of the teleportation room and exited the 23rd Dungeon's main gate.

Looking ahead, there was an endless line of people.

"Oh my god!"

Nisha was dumbfounded.

"Luckily we came early, just as the Dungeon opened, otherwise..."

Eira was also a bit startled.

The popularity of this Dungeon was terrifying!

"Phew~"

At this moment, looking at the bustling scene before her, Eira let out a soft breath. Her eyes flickered, and the experience of the past hour in the Dungeon replayed in her mind. She made a certain decision.

Then she pulled Nisha to a secluded spot and turned to her, saying, "Nisha, I want to sign a contract with this Dungeon!"

"Ah!!!"

Nisha couldn't help but shout after hearing this.

Her expression was one of extreme disbelief.

"What did you say?!"

"You're not joking, are you?!"

As she spoke, Nisha moved closer to Eira to feel her forehead, wondering if she was sick and speaking nonsense.

But before she could touch her, Eira interrupted her outstretched hand.

"No, I'm serious."

Eira's expression was very firm.

Noticing that Eira was serious, Nisha's expression immediately turned to panic.

Of course, she didn't think that the 23rd Dungeon, Stardew Valley Dungeon, was unworthy of a contract; in fact, she also had such thoughts.

But she was just an ordinary Adventurer, the type who only had herself to feed.

And Eira?

She naturally knew Eira's identity.

She had a family and family business!

Such an identity provided abundant resources for Eira to grow, but it also came with strict limitations.

The most important and direct connection between an Adventurer and a Dungeon Lord was to directly enter into a contract.

Once the contract was complete, the Adventurer could go to the Lord's territory and enjoy all the services of the territory. Correspondingly, the Adventurer also needed to obey the Lord's commands and work for the Lord.

This was beneficial to both parties.

However, an Adventurer could only contract one Dungeon in their lifetime, so once the contract was signed, it could not be changed.

Unless the Dungeon was destroyed, but in that case, the contracted Adventurer would also suffer a severe blow, possibly even perishing with the Dungeon.

Eira, as an Adventurer with a family and numerous restrictions, her contract slot was extremely important, and Eira's status was not low, so the forces behind her would certainly not allow Eira to contract a Dungeon at will.

It could be imagined that her family would only allow Eira to contract a certain Dungeon.

So...

"But, you..."

Nisha wanted to persuade Eira not to be impulsive.

But Eira interrupted her.

"I actually had this thought too; my heart stirred with it when I was in Stardew Valley today."

"You know how you and I met, right?"

Eira asked with a smile.

"Yes, I know. I was very weak back then. My attribute value had already exceeded 100 points, but I was stuck at the Black Iron Upper Adventurer level for 3 months because I was too bad at combat.

We met in a Bronze-level Dungeon at that time."

Nisha recalled her experience of meeting Eira, which was an unforgettable one.

At that time, she thought Eira was an ordinary Adventurer like herself, a "weakling" from the fringe world.

And Eira also acted very approachable, making Nisha quickly trust her.

Later, they cooperated to pass that Dungeon and earned the title of Bronze-level Adventurer.

Afterward, Nisha was stunned when she learned Eira's identity.

Her identity was so noble, yet she was also so... weak!

Weaker than her!

She had excellent equipment but fought minor monsters as if they were Bosses, which was quite comical.

She could be chased by a Black Iron Mid-level skeleton monster through a dozen passages.

Although Nisha was also weak, it was she who intervened when Eira was being chased.

Recalling Eira screaming and running over, she had thought some powerful monster was chasing her.

Upon closer inspection, it was just a small skeleton holding a rusty iron sword.

"Hehe..."

Recalling her past embarrassing moments, Nisha couldn't help but laugh.

"So, Nisha, you also know that my combat talent is very poor, and I haven't been interested in various combat techniques since childhood."

Eira showed a hint of embarrassment as she said this.

This was her embarrassing past!

"Although I have many resources available and can enter many powerful Dungeons freely, I am still only Bronze-level."

Eira sighed softly, her voice calm and firm: "Therefore, I have a deep aversion to combat; I hate being arranged by others and constrained by cold rules.

For me, appreciating the beautiful scenery around me and pursuing what I truly love are the things I enjoy doing.

Here, in this Stardew Valley Dungeon, it seems to have given me a chance to breathe again, allowing me to experience long-lost happiness and becoming a pure land for me to enjoy life.

I am willing to form a contract with this Dungeon, willing to grow alongside this Dungeon!

I am serious!"
