Saren, Evelyne, Darian, and Leon stood at the edge of the testing grounds, ready for their turns.
---
SAREN
Saren inhaled deeply.
"Wind, cut what blocks your path! — Gale Slash!" Her fingers sliced through the air as she whispered—
A sharp crescent of wind burst from her hand.
The wind arc slammed into the Mithril dummy, leaving a deep crack along its metallic surface.
The students erupted in murmurs.
"Expected from a Wind user…"
The excitement was obvious.
---
EVELYNE
Evelyne stepped forward with a confident flick of her crimson hair.
"Ignis flare, let the ashes dance! — Flame Burst!"
A roaring flare erupted from her hand, engulfing the dummy in flames.
The dummy shook from the impact—almost identical to Saren's result.
"Evelyne, you're amazing!"
Students cheered loudly.
---
LEON
Leon smirked as he stepped up, playing to the crowd.
"Sky, roar in my name—Tempest Awaken! — Tempest Howl!"
A spiraling gust slammed into the dummy.
It nearly toppled over from the force.
The crowd grew even more impressed.
---
DARIAN
Darian stepped forward with a spear-like gesture of his hand.
"By the rage of the sun… pierce and burn! — Blazing Lance!"
A fiery lance spiraled through the air, striking the dummy with precision.
The damage matched Evelyne's—only Darian's attack could strike from any direction.
---
"Very good."
Instructor Jin clapped once.
The ground filled with applause.
But soon, every gaze shifted toward one person—
Wei.
---
"Is my face really that interesting to you all?
I'm not used to being admired this much."
Wei folded her arms, staring back at the four who had just performed.
Hao and Liang couldn't help but smile.
It was Liang's first time hearing Wei speak so confidently.
"Look at that—seems even weak students can grow wings. Her tongue's gotten sharp." Saren rolled her eyes.
"Sharp tongue or sharp hands? We'll find out soon." Darian smirked.
"Just wait a moment… one-caster."
Hao chuckled.
"You dare laugh at us?
You're only a two-caster because your sister is a single-caster.
Her power must've bled into you." Leon scoffed.
"Who said Wei is a single-caster?" Hao's voice turned cold.
"Oh? Then what is she? A triple-caster?" Leon snorted.
Before Hao could answer,
Wei lifted a hand and stopped him.
"Hao… let's go. It's our turn."
She walked ahead. Hao followed.
"No one makes a fool of themselves better than Wei." Behind them, Saren laughed.
"Be careful forming opinions about others too quickly…
you might end up hurting yourself, Saren." Liang smiled faintly.
His calm confidence silenced everyone.
All eyes followed Wei and Hao toward the test area.

Wei & Hao — Entering the Test Zone
"Should I use my full strength?" Wei asked quietly.
"No. Only a little," Hao said.
"Then… can I still use all my elements?" Wei pouted.
"Nope. If you use so many elements together, Some bigshot will start approaching you. And one more thing don't use too much mana...
If you destroy the field, we don't have enough money to repair this academy."
"…Fine," she sighed.
---
HAO'S TEST
"I'll go first," Hao said. Wei nodded.
"Sky of embers… bleed upon my foes! — Crimson Rain!"
Hundreds of glowing fire droplets burst from his hands, raining down over the dummy.
Half of it charred instantly.
Students gasped.
"That dummy is Mithril!
How did it burn like that?!"
No one knew that training with Wei had doubled Hao's growth speed.
Next—
"From stillness, carve the sharpest ice! — Frozen Edge!"
A razor-edged ice blade shot forward.
The damage matched his fire spell.
"My level's gone up a lot." Hao smiled.
Wei looked quietly proud.
"Yes."
---
WEI'S TEST
Every student held their breath.
They were waiting for her to embarrass herself.
But today—
the embarrassment would be theirs.
Wei stepped forward without hesitation.
1. Red Magic
"— Fire Flame."
She didn't even chant fully.
A massive flame burst from her hand, scorching half the dummy at once.
Students froze.
"She cast without a full incantation…?"
2. Ice Magic
"— Frozen Ices."
Large ice shards tore through the dummy, leaving gaping holes.
Two different elements.
Back-to-back.
Zero delay.
Even the instructors were stunned.
---
Wei turned to the instructor.
"Master… I need Dark magic spells.
I've never used dark magic before, so I don't know the incantations."
The instructor snapped out of shock and rushed to her.
"Yes—yes! Here!"
He handed her a small spell-book.
---
Dark & light Magic
Students outside whispered frantically.
"Is she really going to use more elements?"
"It looks like it…"
"Can she even do it?"
"She already used two. Let's see…"
Wei flipped the pages.
"Found it."
3. Dark Magic
"Shower of the abyss — strike! — Ebon Volley!"
Dark projectiles shot out, entering the dummy's shadows—
striking relentlessly
until the entire dummy shattered.
4. Light Magic
"Rise, O sun, bless these hearts anew! — Blessing of Dawn!"
The moment light magic activated,
the dark projectiles dissolved instantly.
Warm golden light flooded the testing field.
Silence fell.
Students were shocked.
Instructors were speechless.
Wei had just used four known element.
Effortlessly.
---
After the Test
Wei and Hao stepped out.
The ground erupted in applause.
Liang approached, eyes shining.
"You can use four element… unbelievable." Leon whisper.
"Were you standing with your eyes closed during the test?" Hao laughed.
"I am a high-class noble! Show some respect!" Leon snapped.
"My sister also ranks as a high-class noble.
Did you show her respect?
No?
Then don't expect it from me, Young Master Leon." Hao's gaze turned cold.
"You were incredible today." Liang ruffled Wei's hair gently.
"Thanks, brother." Wei smiled softly.
In her past life, she had never had anyone.
Now she had Liang and Hao—
and her heart felt warm.
---
The Accusation
"You must have cheated!"
Saren shouted.
"Yeah! No one can use so many elements at once!" Leon added.
Instructor Jin stepped in.
"There is a cheat-detector in the test area.
Wei cannot cheat."
"I don't believe it!" Leon barked.
"Oh? Is that so?" Wei's eyes glinted.
---
Water Orb Demonstration
"— water Orb."
Water gathered in her palm
forming a small orb that grew…
and grew…
and kept expanding.
Students swallowed hard.
"Is she going to hit one of us with that?!"
Wei tossed the orb into the sky—
and it exploded.
Huge droplets rained down across the academy.
Everyone got soaked.
"Would you like me to cast another spell?"
Wei asked calmly.
"I don't think you can cast so many times!" Saren said stubbornly.
Wei looked at Hao with a mischievous smile.
"Hao… I'm thinking my next target should be one of those four.
Who do you suggest?"
"Whoever you like." Hao folded his arms.
Wei began counting—
"One… two… three… four… five… nine—"
"Stop!"
A sharp, authoritative voice shouted from behind her.
