As the fourth wave surged forward, ten ominous figures emerged, their eyes fixated on the group. Tension crackled in the air as they prepared to defend themselves. Suddenly, a hand shot into the air, spiralling away from the chaos—it was none other than Yuri's hand. A piercing scream broke from her lips, yet curiously, she felt no pain. Instead, a chilling realisation washed over her: the line between sanity and madness was blurring, and she was teetering dangerously close to the edge.
The Walker emerged from the shadows—a towering figure, thin and menacing, standing between three and five meters tall. Its piercing red eyes glowed ominously, set against a backdrop of dark, furry skin. As Yuri felt her sanity slipping away, the Walker lunged with its elongated arms, aiming to sever her head from her body. Just then, Shina sprang into action, grabbing Yuri's arm with a fierce urgency. Together, they fled into the night, narrowly escaping the clutches of the sinister creature.
As she clapped her hands, a shimmering illusion enveloped her and Shina, concealing them from the lurking monsters. The beasts, desperate for prey, lunged forward only to find themselves striking against empty air. In a dizzying flurry, their powerful attacks met nothing but illusion, leaving them vulnerable to a counterassault. Suddenly, one of the monsters shifted its stance and unleashed a fierce punch, smashing into the stone wall with a deafening crack. Seizing the moment, Yuri harnessed her powers to keep herself and Shina hidden, while Shina sprang into action, launching her own assault against the distracted creatures. With every calculated strike, the monsters were caught off guard, each blow a testament to their overconfidence. Together, they fought like shadows, striking hard and swiftly while remaining unseen. Shina barraged through 6 monsters, 4 more to go.
In an instant, one of the monstrous creatures lunged forward, its razor-sharp claw slicing through the air and piercing Shina's gut. She collapsed to the ground, blood spilling from her lips. Just as the other beast charged in to deliver the finishing blow, Yuri, still concealed in the shadows, launched a powerful punch. Though not as strong as Shina's, it had enough force to throw the monster off balance. With a surge of energy, Shina's wounds began to mend, thanks to the power of infinite healing. Rising once more, she steeled herself, ready to take on the remaining foes with renewed determination.
Maze announced that wave 4 has completed the final wave, Starts in 1 hour.
Shina asked, her voice tinged with concern, "But if there's only one wave left, what will you do then?" The maze let out a chilling laugh, echoing through the air. "Ah, one wave remains, true enough! But even if you attempt to cross it, the madness lurking within will gnaw at you piece by piece."
As one hour passed.
The maze announced the last wave.
The ground shook as a single monster standing there; it was not a natural monster. This was the maze's creation. The maze spoke, "This is one of my own creations."
From the depths of the shadows emerged a fearsome creature, towering at an utterly terrifying height of 10 meters. Its skin gleamed like a dark blue shell, smooth yet unsettling, drawing the eye to its singular, enormous eye that stared out from the centre of its face, radiating an eerie intelligence. Two spindly legs—reminiscent of a spider's—enabled it to move with a predatory grace, while its two sickle-like hands glimmered ominously, ready to strike. The air crackled with tension as this monstrous figure stepped into the dim light, leaving an indelible mark of dread in its wake.
The maze spoke, "You, the specificity of the blue eye in the centre, can see through your illusion."
The monster stood there watching them every moment, ready to attack.
In an instant, the monster vanished, only to reemerge from the shadows, poised to strike. But with lightning-fast reflexes, they dodged its lethal attack. Shina gritted her teeth, eyes wide with realisation. "So it can travel between shadows!" she gasped. With a predatory grace, the creature melded back into the darkness. Yuri and Shina swiftly fell into a defensive stance, anticipation coursing through their veins. Suddenly, it leapt from the shadows, soaring through the air, its landing sending shockwaves rippling through the ground. Yuri and Shina were thrown upwards by the sheer force of the impact. As the monster touched down, its sickle-like hands began to glow ominously. With a swift, deadly motion, it sliced through the air, its blade piercing Shina's hand. The pain was excruciating; a mere inch closer and it would have meant her death.
As Shina's arm healed through the infinite healing. The maze spoke, "As a bonus i will provide you with some weapons for the task."
The maze presented two weapons:**Murazo**: A blade blessed with unbreakable qualities within the "domain." **Grade**: 3 **Level**: Resonance **Fury**: A bow that harnesses nearby elements to create arrows that strike within the "domain." **Grade**: 3 **Level**: Spark In this world, as I explained before, there are six grades to determine a person's level of power. Within each grade, six levels of power indicate the strength of an individual at that grade. Shina looked at the weapons, confused. "What is the 'domain'?" she asked. The maze remained silent, and after a few minutes, it reassured her not to worry. Yuri spoke up: "You should take the Murazo. You're good at close combat, and it has a higher level than the bow."
As the battle raged on, the monstrous creature used its massive arm to block any chance of Shina escaping. Meanwhile, Yuri stood at the side, focusing intently. With the nearby winds swirling through her hand, she aimed her bow at the creature's glaring eyes. With a deep breath, she released the arrow, sending it soaring through the air. It struck the beast's eye with a thunderous impact, causing it to roar in agony. The tide of the fight began to shift.
With determination etched on her face, Shina lunged forward, her blade glinting in the dim light. She swung her sword with all her might, feeling it slice through the monster's tough hide as she gripped the hilt firmly with both hands. But the beast, fierce and relentless, retaliated, sending her sprawling back. Despite the force of the blow, it was clear the creature was faltering—its eye was painfully skewered, and fresh wounds marred the upper part of its torso.
Both Shina and Yuri's situations were spiralling out of control, their bodies deteriorating from the relentless side effects of infinite healing. While Yuri managed to cling to a fragile sense of stability, Shina was teetering on the brink of chaos. As the monstrous foe charged forward, I steeled myself, determined to hold my ground against the impending onslaught.
As Shina stood there, her gaze fixed on Yuri, a smile crossed her face. "I can't do this," she admitted, her voice steady despite the chaos around them. In an instant, the monster struck, decapitating her in a brutal flash. Panic surged through Yuri as she let out a heart-wrenching scream. But just when despair threatened to consume them, Shina was revived, her last life point flickering away like a dying ember in her hand. With a radiant smile still on her lips, Shina turned to Yuri. "Why?" Yuri managed to ask, bewildered by the impossible turn of events. Before they could process what had happened, the monster lunged at Shina once more. This time, however, she was ready. Dodging with newfound agility, she countered fiercely, crashing the beast into the ground with a triumphant roar.
Shina spoke," I was not able to concentrate as I was losing my sanity to the maze, so like a game i died and restarted.
Yuri spoke, "You are crazy."
Shina spoke, "Now I can see clearly, and my sanity is retuned"
Yuri spoke, "But you don't have anymore life to risk."
As the battle raged fiercely around them, Shina and Yuri sprang into action, their weapons—Fury and Murazo—gleaming in the chaos. With unwavering resolve, they confronted a monstrous foe that lunged toward them, its form flickering in and out of visibility like a sinister mirage or a masterful illusion of teleportation. The creature struck with brutal force, leaving them wounded and reeling. Yet, amidst the chaos, Yuri grasped the monster's cunning intent; it was attempting to unleash the infinite healing, aiming to drive them to the brink of madness and prevent them from focusing on the fight. They couldn't afford to lose their grip—this battle was far from over.
Yuri unleashed her Fury upon the relentless monster, striking with all her might as it continued to vanish and reappear, taunting her efforts. Frustration surged through her, but then Shina's eyes lit up with a sudden spark of inspiration. She leaned in close, whispering a daring plan to Yuri that could turn the tide in their favour. With newfound determination, they set their strategy into motion, ready to confront the beast together.
As the monstrous figure began to dissipate into the shadows, Shina summoned every ounce of her strength, her fists clenched tightly. With a fierce yell, she drove her fist into the ground, sending a shockwave of energy rippling outward. In perfect synchrony, Yuri deftly adjusted her bow, calibrating it to an almost mystical frequency before releasing an arrow that soared through the air, striking the beast squarely in the chest. While the arrow did little to damage the creature, it jolted it back momentarily, allowing Shina the precious seconds she needed.Fueled by an indomitable spirit, she charged at the creature, unleashing a relentless storm of punches. But with each strike, the beast countered with unnerving precision, showcasing a troubling intelligence in its movements. Pushed to her limits yet undeterred, Shina flashed a defiant smile and declared, "Not enough!" This battle was far from over.As they exchanged their final blows, the monster momentarily lost its balance. In that fleeting instant, it stumbled back, falling into a gaping pit teeming with ravenous imps. Chaos erupted as the creatures turned on each other in a frenzy, tearing at the beast's body with an insatiable hunger, while Shina and Yuri knew the fight was over.
As Shina turned to walk away, the monster, drawing upon its last reserves of strength, clawed its way out of the darkness, intent on claiming her life. Just as the creature raised its wicked blade to slice through her throat, Yuri sprang into action, hurling herself in front of her. The blade struck true, and in that split second, she paid the ultimate price.
but was respond with her last life as , Shina spoke "you are crazy too" both of them are exhausted from the battle.
