"So what's the plan boss?" Charlie asked his curiosity peaking. Colt laughed "That's the beauty of it, there is no plan. All Stacy has to do is show up and smile. The Whisps, being the bottom feeders that they are, will latch themselves onto our conversation and find a way to gain favor of the Luna so they can keep up their lifestyle." Isaac and Charlie looked at each other and loudly said "Brilliant!". Hunter was smiling knowing that this will work and get them the information they needed. Dixie was scowling. How did her event turn into some kind of covert mission? Colt sensed her unease and displeasure. "Don't worry Dix. It won't ruin the day. It's just looking to take advantage of people who like to take advantage of our pack, why don't you run us through the plans for the day before we break for lunch?"
Dixie couldn't stay mad at Colt even if she tried. Her heart just melted just seeing Stacy curled up in his lap, she smiled, hoping one day her boys can find their mates. "Actually Colt, there isn't much for today. I thought because you two have a big weekend coming up, I thought that you guys should enjoy the day. Stacy needs to have a tour of the pack house and grounds. The basement offices are almost done, the furniture is being put together now. The gym and training building will be done by the end of the day. If you guys don't mind too much, I would be honored to do the blood bond tonight. That way I can proudly show off my daughter."
Stacy's heart warmed " I would be honored". Dixie fought back tears, everything she ever dreamed of was happening and for the first time since Josh passed away, her heart was full. Colt was overjoyed to see how happy Dixie was, she deserved this. "Is there anything else we need to discuss?" Colt added, hoping they could wrap this up so he can devour his Luna. Hunter spoke up "Actually there is. Call me an overprotective brother or whatever, but we don't know the extent of the Unseelie and Moon River involvement but it stands to reason, if they hid her for 18 years they will probably want her back and if Moon River actually sold her, she's just not....safe" The others growled in agreement. "So I propose that Stacy stays in the pack house, at most the grounds. We don't know who we can trust yet. I'll talk to Sean and have a new security system installed, I'll have him beef up the Warriors on patrol. If someone farts, we'll be the first to know about it."
Colt laughed, Hunter broke the tension and everyone relaxed "Stacy are you cool with this?" Colt asked. Stacy smiled at Colt "Actually I'm perfect with this. It gives me time to go through the Bloodborne archives. Maybe I can find a lead or something to find my family. I also need to design the youth center, and there is a lot for me to do." Colt couldn't hold back, he grabbed her by the waist and said through their link "You are the most perfect Luna" and kissed her forehead.
"Before we go, Stacy and I have one last thing to share." Everyone looked at Stacy and Colt expectingly. "Stacy can talk to her wolf". The silence was deafening and it was making Stacy anxious "It's true, her name is Devany." She wanted to wring her hands but Colt had a death grip on her left hand. "NO FUCKING WAY!" All three brothers said in unison. Stacy smiled in relief "Actually Dev said that all Alpha's and Betas can talk to their wolves, I checked with Dev about it and Hunter, Dixie that includes you. The bloodline of Beta's runs through you two. Dev said that she can teach you, Mother Rhiannon approves." Stacy expected everyone to be happy and when she seen her families shocked faces "Guys, talk to me, I'm freaking out here, please say something". It was Dixie who stood up first and walked to Stacy and Colt, she motioned for them to hug her.
"My sweet girl. Don't freak out, that was just a nuclear bomb you guys dropped on us. That's a lot to absorb. Would you mind telling us about Mother Rhiannon and the whole story, it will gives us an understanding. " That made Stacy feel so much better. "Of course!". Stacy reiterated the whole story about her birthday party and what happened in the forest, meeting Colt, and leaving out the sexy time. Charlie and Isaac were there but they didn't know why Stacy ran out crying, it made sense now. She had just been scared.
Hunter, ever the thinker said angrily "That wasn't a birthday party, it was a show and tell" The group was stunned as the gravity of the statement weighed heavy in the room "Well, buddy. Go ahead and share with the rest of the class" Isaac spoke. Hunter nodded and leaned forward. "Think about it. George said it himself, she was already sold. If Mother Rhiannon hadn't blessed Stacy who would of known what could of happened and the fact that Colt found his mate...the goddess was clearly protecting Stacy. Stacy you said the silver locks in your hair were a gift. I think that it was the goddess's way of marking you so everyone will know you have her blessings" He paused, deep in thought. "Both of Stacy's parents were Alpha's, her lineage is strong, I have never heard of a child being born of two Alpha's. Stacy you are special, and not in the your my little sister type of way. The Unseelie suppressed your wolf with dark magic, George took part in selling you. I'm going to confidently say that the Moon River organization had planned on impregnating you. Given the facts and our investigations this make sense. The birthday party was just a ruse, Stacy's genetics are superior. Two Alpha parents with an Alpha child." The room grew quiet with the implications and Stacy was confused about the depth of destruction that had been planned for her. In her head Dev said "Let me speak".
"Devany would like to talk to you guys if that's ok". At this point Stacy was sure that everyone in the room was going to pass out from shock and it was Dixie who said "Of course dear". Stacy nodded and closed her eyes. "Ok Dev, I don't know how to do this, so the stage is all yours." she felt herself being pushed back and struggled with the urge to fight it. When Stacy opened her eyes, the room gasped at the beaming silver eyes and the locks of silver in her hair looked like the were alive. The atmosphere in the room changed from tension and worry to love and adoration.
"Hello, I am Devany. Thank you for allowing me to address you, I know you are frightened and uncertain, but I guarantee you that Stacy is fine and she can come forward at anytime. Brother Hunter, I believe I can fill in the gaps of your analysis. The Unseelie suppressed me in order to make Stacy docile, without her wolf, she was weakened. The Unseelie were working with George and Vivian to manipulate Stacy and to experiment. Stacy is extremely powerful and has many abilities, because I was suppressed for almost all of our life, she is unaware of what she can do. However, The Unseelie knows of the potential power Stacy wields and they immediately wanted to use it for their benefit. They approached George and offered Stacy for experimentation to try to learn how to extricate that power, with the promises of power, money, and a powerful heir. " Dev paused for a moment to let the information sink in.
"Mother Rhiannon woke me to protect and guide Stacy, she is very important to the goddess. Stacy must find her own path ahead, she will face many hardships and burdens in the future and I will guide her through them the best I can. Stacy is a blessed child of Mother Rhiannon and I'm sure Mother has her reasons, it's been centuries since she has blessed anyone." Devany smiled " Mother Dixie, will you please schedule training for the family on your calendar? If we want to help your wolves speak, we will need time and a quiet space. The evening will be best because we will be exhausted after each session." Turning to Colt, Devany picked up his right hand and gently ran her fingers over the bite mark from the evening where they met. The bite mark grew silver and gradually became a Celtic protection knot. Smiling she lovingly reached for Colts face and cupped his cheek in her hand. "Declan, I know you can hear me. I can sense you and you feel happy. I'm happy too love. I never imagined that I would ever find my mate. I know you can talk and we will get there. I love you darling and I can't wait to hear your voice" and with that Devany retreated.
