Three weeks after the court decision - Elena is 6 months pregnant
I was at Dr. Claudia's office for a routine ultrasound when Enzo's phone rang.
He looked at the screen. He frowned.
"It's Keiko," he said. "Do I need to answer?"
"Answer," I agreed. "It might be important."
He left the room. He returned two minutes later, his expression tense.
"What is it?" I asked, immediately alarmed.
"Sofia," he said. "She's back. From Paris. And according to Keiko... she's having a nervous breakdown. She tried to contact you three times today. Keiko intercepted."
My stomach tightened.
"What does she want?"
"We don't know. But Keiko says she's... desperate. Calling, sending emails, she even went to the company. Security prevented her from entering."
"Good," I replied coldly. "I have nothing to say to her."
