Chapter 43 - Chapter 43: Bunta

"Baka! You've made no progress at all! Let someone else try!" Jiraiya ruthlessly dragged Kushina away, unable to watch any longer, or he would have a breakdown.

"You bastard, Teacher Jiraiya! I did make progress! It clearly grew two legs!" Kushina retorted unconvinced, arguing with reason. It was true, she had made progress.

"Hahahaha!" Mikoto Uchiha, who was standing to the side, could no longer hold it in and clutched her stomach, laughing heartily.

Even the usually stoic Hayate Gekko's face twitched, and his shoulders trembled violently. It seemed he was trying hard to hold it in.

"Minato, they're all bullying me!" Being laughed at by everyone, Kushina naturally knew she was being unreasonable and couldn't help but throw herself into Minato's arms, seeking comfort.

"Ugh!"

A wave of public display of affection caught the other three single dogs off guard, making them feel quite uncomfortable.

Especially Mikoto Uchiha, who looked at Kushina in Minato's arms with great envy.

"Mikoto, it's your turn to try," in order not to be fed any more dog food, Jiraiya had to change the subject and let Mikoto try.

Mikoto Uchiha retracted her gaze and also used the Summoning Jutsu to summon a normal frog, slightly larger than Hayate Gekko's.

"Damn it! Even Mikoto can summon a frog! Why can't I?" Kushina said indignantly.

"Haha, isn't that because of your special situation? Don't be discouraged. I believe you can do it," Minato said, tickling Kushina's stomach, where the Nine-Tails was sealed.

Kushina instantly understood. She also knew that her chakra was usually interfered with by the Nine-Tails' chakra and was very difficult to control.

"It's all that tsundere fox's fault," Kushina muttered indignantly.

The Nine-Tails inside Kushina's body rolled its eyes upon hearing this. My fault?

"Minato, it's your turn. Show that pervy toad, Teacher Jiraiya, what a genius is!" Kushina wasn't afraid of failure. She had her Minato, who could definitely blind their titanium alloy dog eyes.

Hearing this, Minato gently stroked Kushina's head, then walked forward, gathered a large amount of chakra, and then bit his finger.

"Boar-Dog-Bird-Monkey-Ram—Summoning Jutsu!"

A huge cloud of smoke appeared in front of Minato.

"What?" Jiraiya's eyes widened, his jaw almost dropping to the ground.

Because as the smoke cleared, a giant toad tens of meters tall appeared on the spot.

"Bunta?" Jiraiya called out in shock.

"Hmm? Jiraiya, why did you summon me?" Seeing Jiraiya, Bunta asked strangely.

"This... I didn't summon you. It was my disciple—Minato Namikaze," Jiraiya said, pointing at Minato.

"A new contractor? It's not bad that you can summon me, but you're too young. Are you reliable?" Bunta was not as arrogant as he would be decades later.

"Haha, he's my disciple. How could he not be reliable? Otherwise, he wouldn't have been able to summon you," Jiraiya chuckled, giving a thumbs-up, the meaning of which was self-evident.

"Kid, don't summon me for no reason. But if it's a fight, you must summon me! My strength is great!" Bunta said, then returned to the summoning world.

"That's really something. To be able to summon Bunta," Jiraiya looked at Minato in surprise.

"I don't know either. Maybe it's because I used a lot of chakra," Minato shrugged and said nonchalantly.

Anyway, no one expected him to summon Gamabunta.

"Alright, as your teacher, and since it's already noon, I'll treat you to lunch," Jiraiya looked up at the sky and waved his hand.

"Yay! I want to eat barbecue!" Kushina said with a smile.

With so many people, it wasn't a good idea to eat ramen, but barbecue was fine. Besides, the place they went to last time tasted good, so it was a good time for a change of pace.

"Yoshi! Let's go!" He had Kushina lead the way, and Jiraiya followed behind.

After a sumptuous lunch, Jiraiya dismissed the squad, letting them go and train. If they had any questions, they could ask again tomorrow.

He was going to spend the afternoon fooling around. Otherwise, his vacation would be wasted. He couldn't give all his time to Minato.

Minato didn't take Kushina and leave, choosing to stay.

After all, the bonds between teammates needed to be cultivated. Otherwise, if he was always alone, there would be no tacit understanding when they were on missions in the future. He felt that these two were not bad.

Although Hayate Gekko was a bit cool, his heart was good. Perhaps it was just his personality.

Whether it was fate or not, Mikoto Uchiha and Kushina hit it off at first sight and started chatting away.

The four of them began their afternoon training together. If there was anything they didn't understand, Minato could solve it for Mikoto Uchiha on the spot, without needing Jiraiya's help.
