Chapter 54 - Chapter 54

Aren't Totto Land's ideals almost the same as Joy Boy's?

In One Piece, Joy Boy is of great significance to the kingdom of giants; he is an ally of the giants, representing hope and liberation.

Joy Boy worked with the giants to help the Fish-Men build the great ship "Noah," and promised to lead the Fish-Men to a new life.

He led a liberation movement with a spirit of "laughter and freedom," and his ideals aligned with the concepts of freedom that the giants pursue, bringing hope to the giants and allowing them to see the possibility of different races coexisting harmoniously.

Joy Boy is considered the incarnation of the Sun God Nika, and Nika is a legendary warrior from ancient Elbaf, a deity worshipped by the giants. Therefore, for the kingdom of giants, Joy Boy also holds a certain religious significance.

It is precisely because of this that the giants were so moved upon hearing Totto Land's ideals.

After spending more than a week in the kingdom of giants, Milim and Charlotte Linlin were finally preparing to return to Totto Land, as there were many matters waiting for Charlotte Linlin to handle.

Giant King Harald stood on the shore, watching their figures gradually depart. He had also returned to the giant kingdom of Elbaf in the past few days.

Naturally, he had heard about what the two had done. This made the already wavering Harald's thoughts even more conflicted.

However, one thing was certain: Totto Land, which was willing to give the high-yield seeds to Elbaf for free, would be Elbaf's friend forever.

Even if the World Government were to launch an unjust war against Totto Land, then the giant kingdom of Elbaf would absolutely not stand idly by. Just as he attacked the World Government's ships, Elbaf could not tolerate its benefactors being harmed in order to repay their kindness.

"King Harald!!" From the crowd behind him, two tall giants emerged and knelt on one knee before Giant King Harald.

Looking at the two giants who came forward, Harald showed no surprise in his eyes. "Kashii and Oimo, have you made your decision?"

"Yes! King Harald!" The two giants raised their heads; they were Kashii and Oimo, the ones who had spoken with Milim and the others in the tavern.

"We have witnessed her brilliance with our own eyes and have resolved to follow Lady Milim."

"Ah! Is that so!" Harald recalled Milim's free and cheerful smile again, and a wry smile appeared on his lips. "If that's the case, then go."

"No one in this world has the right to stop people from pursuing their dreams."

"Milim, what are you doing with that branch? Your weapon, Tenma, will cry, you know." Charlotte Linlin watched as Milim held a stick shaped much like a sword, swinging it around on the ship, and couldn't help but feel some sympathy for Milim's Tenma.

It had barely been used since it was forged. Her own Ryouran had at least seen battle; if she didn't regularly send people to polish Tenma, it would probably be covered in cobwebs by now.

Milim laughed. "Linlin, this is a naturally formed weapon! I had a hard time finding it on a tree!"

"Whatever Lady Milim says is right." At the side, Gloriosa mindlessly praised Milim. In her eyes, everything Milim did was right.

"Gloriosa, you should at least try to manage her! Look how spoiled she's become, she's practically clueless about the world." Charlotte Linlin glanced sideways at Gloriosa.

Although she knew she would likely indulge Milim, she hadn't expected it to be to this extent, completely and irrationally taking Milim's side.

Gloriosa still wore a gentle smile on her face. "Compared to me, King Linlin is the one who indulges Lady Milim the most. You talk about managing her, but you've never actually thought about doing it, have you?"

Looking at Milim's happy face, the tenderness in Charlotte Linlin's eyes grew deeper. "As people grow older, they all mature. I've gone from a child who understood nothing to an adult who understands a little about everything."

"But my sister is different. When I was little, I didn't understand anything and could only rely on her, and she was exceptionally mature and dependable."

Listening to Charlotte Linlin's words, Gloriosa looked extremely serious. This was about Milim's childhood! How could she possibly miss it!

"But as I grew up and became more mature, it was as if my sister had cast off some heavy burden, and she became completely carefree!"

"I was once curious about why my sister became like this and asked her about it! Guess what Milim said?" Linlin tilted her head and asked Gloriosa, who was sitting beside her.

Gloriosa was taken aback by the question, then shook her head. With Milim's unpredictable personality, nothing she said would be surprising.

Charlotte Linlin smiled and continued, "My sister said that when a person carries a burden, they will definitely become stronger."

"Everyone in this world carries some kind of burden, and now, the burden she carried can walk on its own."

"And now that she is unburdened, all she has to do is laugh freely. After all, she has a mature, worrywart of a younger sister." As Charlotte Linlin spoke, an embarrassed smile appeared on her face.

Back then, because of those words from Milim, she was so motivated for a long time. Her training became even more diligent, and her mind was always filled with the thought of becoming her sister's support, so she could laugh forever.

"But thinking about it now, even without me, my sister could still live freely in this world and still show a brilliant smile upon the seas." As she spoke, a look of disappointment appeared on Charlotte Linlin's face. Her sister was too strong. So strong that she couldn't even see her back, and she couldn't imagine ever being able to be Milim's support.

Just as Charlotte Linlin was lost in her disappointment, Milim had, at some point, come closer, her face still wearing an incredibly brilliant smile.

Her tone carried a hint of teasing. "Linlin, without you, I would be very sad, you know. And without you, I might never have been able to enjoy the wonderful life I have now."

"After all, you know me. I always start things and never finish them. There are many things I could never accomplish on my own."

Milim leaped up onto Charlotte Linlin's shoulder and gently stroked her pink hair. "Without you, my life would be very lonely. So you see, you became my support a long time ago!"
