"Hmm, so you've found me out." Milim continued to approach Saint Garling, her pace neither fast nor slow.
"Damn it! We have to leave now." Just then, a pentagram-shaped magic circle appeared beneath the feet of Saint Garling and Saint Somaz.
"Trying to run? It's too late now." Milim instantly appeared before them, completely ignoring their attacks as her magic-imbued fist pierced straight through their chests.
"Argh!" They stared at their chests in disbelief. The large holes there showed no signs of healing, and a pain as if their very souls were being torn asunder erupted in an instant.
They collapsed to their knees, and the nearly-formed pentagram magic circle gradually faded away.
Milim flicked the blood from her dragon claws and casually placed her hands on her hips. "Alright, the trash has been dealt with."
"Linlin should be here soon. Next, it's time to establish a new set of rules for this world."
"Milim, can you tell me what you mean by that?" A penetrating wound the size of a small bowl was visible on Rocks's abdomen, but relying on the incredible life force unique to a top-tier pirate, he dragged his severely injured body over to Milim's side.
"Can someone as powerful as you really get even stronger?" Rocks was being sincere. Milim's power surpassed even that of Imu, whom he had seen in the Room of Flowers. He truly couldn't imagine what a being of such strength would become if they grew even more powerful.
Milim smiled, happy to explain to Rocks. After all, this secret would soon be known to all the strong. "It's impossible for anyone in this world to reach my level of strength, let alone surpass it."
"What I'm doing now is simply creating a new realm, like adding a new rule to the world, allowing more people to step onto a path like mine."
"I still don't quite understand, but it sounds like you're trying to make everyone in the world stronger." Rocks sat down on the ground, panting as he looked at Milim with a complex expression.
"Honestly, I really don't get you. You're already a monster among monsters, yet you want more people to be like you? Is there really such a good thing in this world?"
"Hmph! You're wrong about that." Milim said with her hands on her hips. "I'm doing this entirely for myself."
"I can't see that at all!"
"For special reasons, my lifespan is nearly infinite. But my younger sister is different; she will eventually grow old. I can't accept that reality, so I'm going to change the rules of this world!"
Rocks covered his face and began to laugh, a self-deprecating tone in his voice. "Haha! To think I always believed I was one of the strong ones, even arrogant enough to want to become the King of the World."
"I never imagined a monster like you would appear on these seas, one who can trample on and even change the rules at will. Is this to say the sea is truly unfair, to give birth to a monster as powerful as you, or is it something else entirely!"
"To think that I would even feel something like jealousy."
"So, what do you plan to do after this? After you become stronger, what will you do, Milim? Are you going to kill all of us?" Newgate's voice also came from nearby.
Milim smiled. "Of course not. I'm not that bloodthirsty. Besides, that would make things very uninteresting, wouldn't it?"
"So you intend to let pirates like us continue to exist?"
"Just because it's interesting... what a childish thought." After saying this, Newgate fell silent.
Milim wagged her finger and said with a sigh, "Of course, it's not that simple. As a condition for your survival, you all have to withdraw from the New World."
"The New World is now completely controlled by Totto Land."
"Is that the only condition? That's quite lenient!" Rocks laughed nonchalantly. Compared to his own life, the New World was nothing to worry about.
Besides, he was looking forward to the future. After all, Milim had already said so much, she surely wouldn't mind revealing a little more.
"Oh! I'm surprised you're letting go so easily, Rocks." Milim looked at Rocks with some surprise. In her impression, Rocks had always been an ambitious man. When did he become so carefree?
"What nonsense are you talking about? Ambition requires a life to pursue it. And even if I leave the New World, I have no intention of giving up on my dream."
"After all, that new realm you mentioned... I should be able to reach it too, right?" Rocks flashed an arrogant smile. Although he had been hit hard by Milim this time, he wasn't about to let it make him give up on his dream.
"You can. Anyone can, as long as they can endure," Milim replied faintly.
"Ah, we're alive."
"Wait for me, Roger!"
Two figures finally climbed out of the sea, collapsing onto the beach in a wretched state.
It was Roger and Garp. Anyone who saw them now would never be able to connect them with their former selves.
One of Roger's arms was completely broken, looking like a mass of flesh hanging from his shoulder, the bones utterly shattered. There was also a bloody hole in his waist, as if he had crashed into something. Although he had plugged the wound with Armament Haki, a little blood still seeped out.
Garp was in a similar state to Roger. His entire arm dangled from his shoulder, the connection completely severed, with only a little skin and flesh still attached. His body, however, had no major wounds.
Sengoku quickly rushed to Garp's side, looking at his wound with concern. "Are you alright?"
"Are you blind, Sengoku? Can't you see my arm is completely broken?" Garp looked at the unscathed Sengoku with a mix of relief and resentment in his eyes.
They had come on this mission together, so why was he the only one severely injured while Sengoku looked as clean and tidy as if he hadn't even been in a fight?
But despite his complaints, Garp was genuinely happy to see that Sengoku was unharmed.
Roger glanced around and asked Sengoku, "Sengoku, have you seen Rayleigh?"
Sengoku pointed to a nearby crater. "He was swatted over there by Milim. He's probably still lying there now."
"He claims to be well-read, but he doesn't show any signs of being smart." Roger grumbled, but in his heart, he was incredibly moved.
"I finally see Linlin." Milim gazed into the distance. In the sky, amidst the roaring dark clouds and lightning, she spotted a phoenix wreathed in blue flames.
The phoenix was carrying two figures in its talons.
"It seems I'll soon be able to witness this new realm you spoke of."
