Chapter 141 - Shrek’s Current Situation

Douluo Continent.

In the Barak Kingdom, east of Soto City, in front of a farmer's house in Phoenix Village—

Flender, Zhao Wuji, Lu Qibin, Li Yusong, and Shao Xin—the five core instructors of Shrek Academy—had gathered.

"That's everything that happened," Shao Xin and Li Yusong said quietly, exchanging complicated glances toward the farmhouse before looking back at Flender and the others.

After hearing their account, the group fell into a heavy silence.

When they heard Xiao Se wasn't planning to come after Shrek Academy, everyone felt relieved.

But the moment they heard Xiao Se say Tang San was a body-snatcher—all of them fell silent again.

If what he said was true, then Tang San was far too dangerous.

To gain a new life, to devour the soul of a newborn infant… that level of cruelty was no different from the evil soul masters recorded in the darkest parts of Douluo's history.

And on top of that, he could still act completely normal in front of people.

The more they thought about it—the scarier it felt.

"So even the Haotian Douluo suspects something?" Flender asked gravely.

"That's what Xiao Se said," Shao Xin replied with a nod.

Zhao Wuji's brows remained tightly furrowed. "It really is suspicious. Those hidden weapons, those poisons, and those intricate self-created techniques… the Douluo Continent has never seen anything like them. The Haotian Douluo doesn't know them. Flender, your old friend the Grandmaster certainly doesn't either. And a child, staying at Notting Academy while also training… no matter how talented, he'd never have enough time to invent techniques that sophisticated."

"Human energy is limited. The only explanation is that he was born with them."

Hearing Zhao Wuji's reasoning, the others fell silent again.

After a long pause, Flender let out a tired sigh. His eyes swept over everyone before he spoke slowly. "We won't talk about this for now. Next time we see the Haotian Douluo or when Xiao Gang comes over, I'll ask them personally. As for Tang San—whether there's an old monster hiding in that body—this still needs to be observed. For Oscar's and Hongjun's safety, once we return to the academy, we'll arrange for Tang San to live separately, near the teachers' dormitory."

"Agreed." Zhao Wuji and the other three nodded.

Just then, the door opened. Xiao Wu walked out, supporting Tang San.

With Oscar's recovery sausage, Shao Xin's healing jelly beans, and Tang San's own soul power, he had finally recovered enough after a day and night to move normally.

"Huff… Dean, how's the situation? Is that guy still refusing to let our Shrek Academy go?" Tang San asked. Because his front teeth had been kicked out by Xiao Se, his words leaked air, but his raised expression was full of killing intent. Despite his ordinary appearance, the twisted anger on his face made him look almost vicious.

Flender and the others sucked in a cold breath.

All five of them recalled the girl's words yesterday—petty and vengeful—and they silently wiped sweat from their foreheads.

"Little San, you misunderstood. We were the ones mistaken," Flender said quickly, stepping forward. "Teacher Shao Xin and Teacher Li Yusong already spoke with Xiao Se today. He doesn't hold a grudge against Shrek Academy. Yesterday was just a normal conflict between youngsters. Once you all recover, we can move back to the academy."

He was genuinely terrified Tang San would run off looking for revenge. That would be no different from suicide—dragging Shrek down with him.

"Brother, forget it… Yesterday really was our fault. Don't take it to heart," Xiao Wu said tearfully.

Whether they were right or wrong—she didn't know, and she didn't want to know.

All she knew was that Xiao Se was terrifyingly strong—stronger even than the pressure she felt from Title Douluo.

Just like Flender, she absolutely didn't want Tang San trying to take revenge.

Because that was no different from walking into death.

"Don't worry, Xiao Wu. I know what I'm doing."

Seeing Xiao Wu cry only made Tang San's anger surge higher. He gently wiped away her tears, a flash of killing intent flickering in his eyes.

On the surface he seemed calm, but inwardly he swore:

Xiao Wu… anyone who makes you cry, I will never forgive.

Flender and the others naturally saw all of this. Their brows tightened, and though they sighed inwardly, they said nothing.

"Dean, how are Mubai and Fatty?" Tang San asked.

Flender answered, "Hongjun only suffered external wounds. He's fine. As for Mubai, his broken hand bone has already been set. Ten days to half a month of rest should make him good as new."

Just as he finished speaking, Ma Hongjun stumbled out, covered in bandages, bruised from head to toe, being supported by Oscar.

"Dean, everyone's here! Fatty is fully revived again!" Ma Hongjun said loudly.

Hearing him, Flender and the others nodded slightly. Seeing Hongjun's ridiculous appearance, their knitted brows eased just a bit.

"Fatty, are you alright?" Tang San asked.

"Heh, no problem. Fatty's thick-skinned. Just lost a few teeth—talking's a bit leaky now. But that brat really hits hard. Next time, Fat Master will definitely get even!" Ma Hongjun thumped his chest.

"Def—initely," Tang San said, his words still leaking wind.

Hearing the two of them still talking about revenge, Oscar shuddered. His voice trembled as he said, "H-How about you two calm down? After you fainted yesterday, I rushed over with the dean… and the dean was also defeated in one move."

Oscar's words made Tang San and Ma Hongjun's expressions twist violently.

"Hey, hey, Little Ao, you're joking, right? The dean's right here!" Ma Hongjun said in disbelief.

Flender sighed and looked at Ma Hongjun seriously. "Little Ao is telling the truth. If he hadn't held back, my situation would've been no better than yours."

Even Tang Ritian couldn't deal with Xiao Se. Losing wasn't shameful.

"It's over… it's over. Even the dean isn't an opponent. Looks like there's no chance for revenge now…" Ma Hongjun slumped, covering his head in despair.

But while he gave up instantly, Tang San's killing intent grew completely uncontrollable.

Xuan Tian Record, Rule Three:

Once you confirm someone is your enemy—if they show any path to death, never show mercy. Otherwise you'll only bring trouble upon yourself.

Xiao Se looked around the same age as Oscar, definitely no older than fifteen. Yet he had the power to kill a Soul Saint instantly.

To make an enemy of someone like that would place him—and his family—in constant danger.

Since he had already determined Xiao Se had "a path to death," then next time… he absolutely wouldn't hold back.

"Dean," Tang San said suddenly, "my soul power will reach level thirty in the next few days. Please take me to get my third spirit ring."
