Extra Chapter!
(I've had a long day 3-4 hour drive, a bunch of chores, my family and only 4 hours sleep, so you all are lucky I'm making a chapter today XD)

"GET DOWN!" A soldier screamed out at the top of his lungs as lobbed a grenade through the window towards a group of enemy robots. The man's platoon dropped to their stomachs instantly creating a clatter sound as rifles struck the floor at the same time.
*CRACKOOM*
Dust and detritus were flung in all directions as the explosion shrapnelled into two of the robots, tearing at exposed cables and wrenching an arm off of one of them. Plasma followed in the echoing wake of the explosion as the robots unloaded hundreds of scorching hot pulses in direction of their building.
Dry wall evaporated as if it were water exposed to a hot plate as three of the man's friends were sent flailing against the back wall, their vests smoking dangerously as they wailed in pain or were sent into unconsciousness.
"SUPPRESSIVE FIRE!" The soldier shouted as he squirmed up to his knees, his M4's barrel dropping onto the broken remnants of the office building's lower windows. With a deep breath and the sight of several robots marching down onto his position he squeezed his trigger finger down and unloaded burst after burst into the nearest target.
Other cacophonous bursts soon joined his own as the last few members of his squad followed his orders and started fighting back. The metallic pinging of bullet casings striking the ground underpinned the roar of cordite and lead as the robots got ever closer, their exteriors denting and fraying under the constant rain of bullets.
One of the already damaged machines was struck in a cord that dangled from its beefy neck, sparks and fire wafting from the cut silicon before it shuddered and collapsed into a pile of scrap. It's companion merely stepped over it and unleashed another burst of plasma that disintegrated the metal fire escape door that the squad was pinned down near.
"There's too many of them sergeant!!" One of his squad members shouted out, he thought it could be Frank.
"We have no way to retreat soldier!" He yelled as he exchanged his spent magazine for another, the smell of smoke wafting throughout the enclosed space as the LMG finally got positioned on the window and started blaring full-auto.
"Fuck retreat...! NO RETREAT! NO SURRENDER! URA!" The LMG soldier, Mikaelson, boomed out as he held down the trigger and held onto the rioting weapon that was kicking into his shoulder like a bull in a ring.
Two more of the cursed machines were minced into tender chunks of scrap metal as the LMG overheated, the barrel glowing a hot red as the bullets stopped feeding into it. Still more were coming and still the firefight continued, cordite billowing from the building as if someone had lit a bonfire.
"How many of them are there!?" Frank shouted before grunting as a blast of plasma whipped his entire body backwards to the floor, the smell of cooking flesh mixing with the cordite.
"Shit! Frank, you good!?!?" Mikaelson asked desperately as he dropped the LMG and pulled out his sidearm, the pistol kicking back in his hands as the bullets deflected off the armour plating of one of the robots.
"FUCK, it hurts!" Frank obviously wasn't doing too well...
"GRENADE!!!" The sergeant pulled the last of his grenades from his belt, pulling the pin and lobbing it through the window at the nearest clump of robots. Every single member ,that wasn't already on the floor, dropped and covered their ears.
Another detonation blasted the leading machine apart at the seams as its allies twisted to the side with the shockwave and the force of the shrapnel plunging into their internal components. The squad didn't stop thought, all of them rising from the ground and reloading as the next wave stomped over the corpses of the last... They were getting close now, danger close...
"Bayonets!" The sergeant roared as he began firing bursts into one of the robots that were trying to climb over a nearby car.
Frank awkwardly grabbed his rifle and searched through his pouches for the bayonet attachment whilst Mikaelson picked the LMG back up with his left hand and fed the last box of ammo into it. Another wave of plasma cascaded through the building and finally decimated the cover of the walls and windows, the materials simply burning away under the heat of the plasma.
The Sergeant snapped his bayonet into place and took a deep breath as the smoke slowly receded. Frank was half on his feet half on his knees as he grasped his M4 under his armpit, his right arm dangling limply by his side. Mikaelson pulled back with his LMG and stepped backwards whilst bracing it with his hip.
"It was good knowing you guys!" Mikaelson shouted aloud, tinnitus most definitely effecting his ability to understand volume at the current moment.
"Shut the fuck up, asshole, we're gonna make it through this!" The sergeant growled out, the M4 braced in the crook of his elbow as he aimed the bayonet out towards where he perceived a robotic neck would be in the next few seconds.
The smoke cleared and the first enemy stepped into the ruined remnants of cover they had sat behind not moments earlier. All three men grit their teeth and readied themselves for a final showdown, their eyes hardening into those of a cornered predator and their adrenaline running like oil through their veins.
"FUCK YOU. THIS IS AMERICA! THE LAND OF THE FREE! YOU'LL DIE BEFORE WE SURRENDER!!!" Mikaelson hefted the LMG upwards and squeezed the trigger down before rotating his body to get a full spread in the direction of the enemy.
The bullets pierced into the meaty metallic plating of the robots, pushing them back with every hit as the full force of the bullets' kinetic energy bled into them. Metallic screeching echoed ominously through the enemy forces as another fell, the leg of that robot flaring apart as the metal core of several rounds punctured into active servos.
Two M4s quickly joined the LMG in firing, the roar of American mettle booming through the street as Mikaelson hollered and cursed at the robots. And then the clicks of empty mags reverberated into the hollowed out office room, they were out of ammo.
"Cowabunga!" Frank shouted as he aimed his M4 and rushed the nearest machine, his bayonet gleaming in the tepid sunlight that dripped through the hole in the building.
*SNAP*
That same enemy backhanded him across the room, the horrifying sound of his neck snapping following the clunky metallic sounds of the robot. With a dull thud Frank's lifeless corpse bounced off of the wall and sagged to the ground, his eyes wide open in fear as blood trickled from his head like a waterfall.
"Targets acquired. Termination Ordered." The robot uncaringly stated whilst stepping on top of the discarded M4 of, the now dead, Frank... Breaking it into three pieces.
"YOU FUCKING DARE!?" Mikaelson screamed in utter fury, the LMG having been dropped for his combat knife.
The robot turned to look at him and raised its right arm, an ominous purple glow humming to life inside the robotic limb. Ozone slowly wafted out from the robot as the charge increased.
Mikaelson, not one to take a threat lightly, zig-zagged towards the robot with his knife clasped in his hands. His thumb dragged over the spine of the knife as he gripped the handle with all of his strength. The robot tracked his movement easily with its arm, the charge of its attack building ever faster.
And then Mikaelson slipped into its guard, his knife puncturing into the soft gooey cording that connected its central body to its outer limbs. The robot was caught off guard as its sensors fluctuated and its gyroscopic balancers malfunctioned, the human having used a previously unknown injury to facilitate his attack.
The knife sliced out of the cording around its waist and was lobbed to Mikaelson's other hand where he proceeded to repeatedly plunge the blade into the back of the robot's neck until the robot slumped into silence, still standing.
He gripped his knife and yanked backwards, huffing at the effort he had just spent... And then three ominous purple glows filled the corners of his vision. That wasn't the last of them and certainly not even the first... Mikaelson dropped into a roll and tried to rush towards the Sergeant who had been busy helping one of the other fallen squad members who had just woken up.
"Get down!!!" His words slammed out as the glows intensified.
The soldiers all dropped to the ground and sought cover behind any errant desk they could find. They were all prepared to die within the next few seconds, the remaining members of their squad, the last remnants of the US military within San Francisco...
*FWOOOP* *FWOOOP* *FWOOOP*
The purple glow was castigated immediately as the pressure of soundwaves kicked up massive plumes of dust. Roaring engines crooned in the skies dully as the sound of metal sizzling followed in their wake. Metal plates clattered to the floor in clumps of charred steel and carbon as a smooth mechanical hissing sound resounded outside, several of them.
"Be calm. We are allies." A masculine voice resounded from outside the office building. It was still robotic but had a distinct lack of malice and harshness.
The sergeant stood from behind the desk and looked out through the room, finding over one hundred sand-yellow robots marching past with a white robot standing in front of the office building alongside two black robots that looked like guards.
"W-what the hell? Did the military send you?" The robot showed no outward change except for a narrowing of a camera-like lens that sat in the middle of its cuboid head.
"No. We are here to liberate North America from the clutches of Doom. Our forces have yet be officially named, however, you can thank our creator for aiding you." The robot succinctly stated whilst another hundreds robots marched past, smaller spider-like robots crawling up several buildings that stood opposite to their current position.
"Y-Your creator?" The robot nodded at his question.
"Singularity." It stated simply before turning its head in the direction of its guards. The sergeant felt that it was communicating with them in some way he couldn't understand.
"Your men are injured and close to death. We will provide aid and healing." The guards stepped forwards, their side compartments opening with several containers of drugs, painkillers, casting material and compacted stretchers.
"What the fuck...?" The sergeant collapsed to the floor in exhaustion, his eyes staring up at the pock-marked roof as the robots stepped around him and started tending to his wounded men, the dead officer and friend included.
"I hate robots, but these guys aren't too bad..." Mikaelson huffed out as his sheathed his knife into his belt and collapsed into the only remaining swivel chair in the room.
The white robot stepped away from the office building and tapped a button on its wrist, showing a complete combat map of San Francisco. Several divisions of Doom's robots were being pushed back and annihilated by an overwhelming number of drone strikes and constant Blitz Krieg tactics by the FR1s.
"San Francisco is nearly clear Lord Hermes." The white droid received a confirmation from his Lord before getting several plans relayed almost instantly. Portland was the next target. "Your will be done, Lord." The droid knelt as the presence of the Creator's son faded into a background echo.
