I'm writing this message because lately I've seen many people saying that this fanfic is not to their liking.
To be honest, when I first started this fanfic, I wrote it completely in my own style. At that time, I was just a beginner writer who had only recently stepped into writing. I didn't know much about pacing, dialogue, structure, or any of that.
But as time passed and the fanfic started getting more reach, more comments, and more readers, I slowly began trying to write according to what people wanted.
I started changing things.
I tried leaning toward reader expectations, adding things people requested, changing scenes, adding more fights, and improving the writing style constantly.
Now my process has become extremely long.
First, I write the raw draft myself.
Then I use ChatGPT to help me edit the dialogue, grammar, wording, and overall flow.
After that, I reread the entire chapter multiple times just so I can fully understand and adjust it myself.
A single 2000-word chapter now takes me around 4–5 hours minimum.
Ironically, when I first started writing casually, I could write much faster.
As for this fanfic itself—
The fanfic was never originally meant to be focused heavily on fights.
My main goal was to explore the background characters of the series and show how their personalities, decisions, and attitudes changed because of one factor:
Toyama.
This fanfic was always supposed to focus more on:
political tension,
sarcasm,
wordplay,
manipulation,
leadership conflicts,
and the power struggle involving the Uchiha.
The battles and fights were originally meant to be secondary elements.
But as more readers asked for fight scenes, I started adding them and thinking more deeply about combat as well.
And honestly, I tried my best.
Now the fanfic is close to the end of Arc 1.
On Patreon, Chapters 107–109 are already reaching the ending phase of this arc.
The war is ending.
And after that, the "Battle of Hokage" arc begins.
My original idea for that arc was not to make the Uchiha simply want the Hokage position directly—
But instead to completely overturn the selection process itself in their own way.
However…
Now comes the main reason for this message.
Today I'll be uploading 8 chapters total, reaching Chapter 100.
And on Chapter 100, I only ask for one thing:
If you truly want me to continue uploading this fanfic here, then leave a comment.
I only need 10 comments.
Just 10.
If I get those 10 comments, then I'll continue writing and uploading this fanfic here in my own style.
After that, the rest honestly won't matter to me anymore.
Because at the end of the day—
I want to write the fanfic I originally wanted to tell.
Also, the next upload will be on May 10.
And during that time, I'll also try to prepare one more fanfic for you guys.
If you're wondering why the uploads are delayed until May 10, it's because right now I'm trying to build a stockpile of chapter drafts.
The reason is simple:
If someday I become unable to write for one or two days because of any situation, I still want readers to receive chapters consistently from already prepared drafts.
For that, I need time.
Because of this situation, I also paused Patreon billing from April 10 to May 10 since I wasn't able to write chapters properly during that period.
But from May 10 onward, Patreon billing will restart again.
And when that happens, I'll need to provide chapters regularly.
Otherwise, if supporters leave, then you guys already understand what kind of loss that would become for me.
