Chapter 85 - Chapter 86: Going straight to Huanglong

The warm steam from the beef hotpot filled Lin Mo's apartment. Outside, the city lights twinkled; inside, the rich aroma of simmering fatty beef and mushrooms wafted through the air.

Lin Mo unhurriedly picked up a piece of cooked beef from the pot, rolled it in the carefully prepared sauce, and brought it to his mouth.

A sense of satisfaction spread from his taste buds throughout his entire body.

This was life: peaceful, comfortable, and accompanied by good food.

As for the so-called "organization," it had been temporarily forgotten while he enjoyed his dinner.

After the meal, he meticulously washed the dishes, returned all the utensils to their original places, and then brewed a steaming cup of green tea.

Holding the teacup, he walked slowly to the balcony, looking down at the city that was still bustling under the night sky, yet possessed a unique tranquility.

The evening breeze was slightly cool, dispersing the last trace of hotpot steam.

After a brief thought, Lin Mo decided to add some psychic energy to see if he could find the so-called "organization."

["Psychic energy +60 points, consuming 6000 energy points."]

As a line of data flashed across the system panel, he closed his eyes.

A mental power, even stronger than before, instantly surged from his sea of consciousness.

Under his precise control, this mental power transformed into a massive, invisible radar net, silently spreading outwards in all directions from him, covering the entire city.

Before G4 was obliterated by his punch, the operating mode of its internal energy core and the faint energy radiation particles remaining in the air had been fully recorded by him.

This was like tracing the source of a drop of ink in the vast ocean, an impossible task for ordinary people.

But Lin Mo wanted to try, as psychic power was infinitely mysterious.

His perception swept over skyscrapers, through streets, deep underground, reaching a deserted industrial area on the city's edge.

Just as his mental power was about to reach its limit due to the excessive distance, he "saw" it.

Deep beneath that desolate industrial area, there was an extremely unusual energy gathering point.

The energy radiation frequency there was identical to that of G4's remnants, only much larger and denser.

"Found it," he murmured softly, finishing the last sip of tea in his cup.

Lin Mo did not notify the Hero Association, nor did he change into any combat attire.

He simply put on a normal jacket, turned off the lights, locked the door, and, like an ordinary citizen going for a walk after dinner, disappeared into the night.

— — — — — —

200 meters underground, the Mech God Organization, Seventh Base.

This was a place entirely different from the surface world.

Cold white lights illuminated every corner. Within the colossal underground space, countless precise robotic arms were assembling massive metal bodies, and the air was filled with the scent of metal.

There was no human clamor here, only the hum of cooling fans and the rhythmic "clack" of machinery in operation.

In the central control room, dozens of huge screens displayed real-time data from various parts of the base.

A middle-aged man in a white lab coat, with a fervent glint in his eyes, was frowning intently, repeatedly watching the last combat footage transmitted by G4.

He was the highest-ranking person in charge of this base, and one of the organization's doctors.

"The Strongest Man on Earth, KING? His strength is indeed unfathomable…" The doctor adjusted his glasses and muttered to himself.

On the screen, the footage of Lin Mo effortlessly crushing the battle blade and shattering G4 with a single punch was played in slow motion and analyzed repeatedly.

The doctor pushed up his glasses, a hint of excitement flashing in his eyes. "This is a perfect research sample! If only we can obtain his data…"

Just then, his imagined world was completely shattered by a sharp, piercing alarm.

"Alert! Alert! Detecting a Level 1 intrusion! An unknown life form has breached all external defense layers!"

The piercing alarm suddenly blared throughout the entire base, and red warning lights flashed frantically, dyeing the control room in a bloody crimson hue.

The doctor abruptly turned around, staring fixedly at the main screen.

On the screen, all the icons representing the base's layers of defense—energy shields, high-voltage grids—instantly turned from green to gray.

"To destroy almost all defense systems simultaneously in such a short amount of time?!"

The doctor's heart sank, and an unprecedented chill instantly shot through his brain.

He immediately ordered all monitoring permissions to be switched to the intrusion point.

The surveillance footage switched, finally locking onto the last, and most robust, alloy door leading to the core area.

Lin Mo stood there quietly.

He was still wearing his ordinary jacket, hands in his pockets, his expression calm, as if he had been waiting for a long time.

He even looked up at the camera hidden in the corner, his gaze calm and unwavering.

"KING?!" The doctor's pupils suddenly contracted to pinpricks, and he gasped in surprise, "How could he possibly find this place?!"

The panic lasted only a second, then was replaced by an extreme calmness.

He knew that panic would solve nothing, and he had to make the correct decision in the face of an emergency.

"The organization's plan has reached a critical moment; it absolutely cannot go wrong now!"

The doctor stared intently at the screen, a figure involuntarily flashing in his mind. He shivered and issued an order.

"Send Mech God Bodhi, Mech God Tek, and Mech God Lei to hold off KING!"

"But Doctor, their systems are still unstable; forcibly activating them might lead to aircraft collapse!" A subordinate's anxious voice came through the communicator.

"Execute the order!" The doctor's voice was cold and brooked no argument.

His hands, however, moved across the control panel in a blur, performing data backup and transfer at an astonishing speed.

"For the evolution of the organization, any sacrifice is worth it!"

"Boom—!"

Just as he gave the order, on the surveillance screen, the door, forged from thirty meters of composite armor, turned into a flurry of metal fragments under Lin Mo's light punch.

Lin Mo slowly stepped inside, and his view suddenly opened up.

This was an even larger hangar. Beneath the towering dome, three enormous robots of varied forms, each exuding a sense of oppression, rose from their respective maintenance racks.

They were still connected to numerous cables and pipes, and some parts of their armor had not yet been installed, revealing complex internal mechanical structures, clearly indicating they were hastily deployed, half-finished products.

"Clank! Clank! Clank!"

The three Mech Gods took heavy steps, surrounding Lin Mo in the center.

Their crimson electronic eyes lit up simultaneously, locking onto the person who dared to intrude alone into the Mech God Organization.
