In Z-City, inside Saitama's simple, almost crude apartment, a fierce "battle" was currently unfolding.
"Oh, oh, oh! Combo! Take this! Justice Uppercut!"
Saitama, wearing a hoodie, had fine beads of sweat on his bald head, and was frantically mashing the buttons of his game controller with astonishing speed.
On the screen, the fighting character he controlled was performing a flashy but flawed combo against Mr. KING's character.
Beside him, Genos sat upright, a notebook open on his lap, his pen rapidly scribbling.
Meanwhile, Lin Mo, the other protagonist of this "battle," leaned leisurely on the sofa, a stark contrast to Saitama's intensity.
He held the controller with one hand, his posture relaxed, his fingers moving only slightly when necessary.
On the screen, his character blocked all of Saitama's attacks.
That impenetrable defense turned Saitama's expression from excitement to frustration, and finally to anger.
"Damn it! Why! Why can't I hit him!" Saitama yelled in frustration, his voice filled with unwillingness.
"Don't cheat, Mr. KING!"
The moment Saitama's character was stunned by a highly exposed recovery animation, Lin Mo's character immediately followed up with an incredibly precise throw.
"K.O.!"
Large red letters filled the entire screen, announcing Saitama's yet another crushing defeat.
"Ahhh—I lost again!!"
Saitama indignantly threw his controller aside, his entire being turning into a black and white stick figure.
Lin Mo calmly put down his controller, picked up the hot tea Genos had already prepared, and took a gentle sip.
This level of gaming presented no challenge to him.
However, in this brief moment of tranquility, a strong gust of wind suddenly roared in through the open balcony window!
"Whoosh—!"
The wind made the calendar in the room rustle.
Genos instantly entered battle mode, the core of his Incineration Cannon on his arm glowing a dangerous red, and he flashed in front of Saitama and Lin Mo.
"Teacher! Mr. KING! Enemy invasion!"
Before he finished speaking, a black afterimage had silently landed on the balcony railing.
The figure was as fast as a ghost, yet it made no sound when it landed.
The newcomer wore a tight black ninja suit, outlining his agile musculature.
He had a confident yet crazed smile on his face, his long black hair tied into a ponytail behind his head, fluttering in the wind.
His sharp eyes, like a hawk's, locked onto the three people in the room.
"Who are you..." Genos had never seen Sonic before, and a hint of vigilance flashed in his eyes.
"Yo, Caped Baldy."
Sonic licked his lips, his gaze passing over Genos and directly landing on the bald man who was annoyed by the game's interruption, then looking at Mr. KING inside.
"And you, Mr. KING!"
His voice was filled with a thirst for revenge and absolute confidence.
Ever since his proud speed was easily matched by Saitama last time, and he was thrown into prison like a small fry by Mr. KING, that double humiliation became his sole motivation for training day and night.
He believed that now, his speed had reached its peak, enough to wipe away his past disgrace!
"Long time no see. Let's settle our score here today!"
However, Saitama just lazily picked his nose, looking at him with an unfamiliar gaze: "Huh? Who are you? Do we know each other?"
"..."
The smile on Sonic's face instantly froze.
This disregard angered him more than any taunt.
"It seems I need to make you recall the fear of being dominated by my speed first!"
"A small fry who interferes with Teacher and Mr. KING's time has no reason to exist." Genos's voice was cold and emotionless, "I will eliminate him."
"With just you, a cyborg?" Sonic sneered.
The next second, his figure vanished from the railing, transforming into an almost imperceptible black line, bypassing Genos and heading straight for Saitama in the back!
But Genos was already prepared.
His leg thrusters instantly jetted flames, and his body moved sideways with astonishing explosive power, accurately blocking Sonic's path!
"Your opponent is me!"
"Boom—!"
Genos's arm Incineration Cannon fired instantly, a scorching beam of energy grazing Sonic's afterimage and blasting onto the balcony floor, leaving a charred, molten crater.
"Not bad reflexes!"
Sonic's voice came from the other end of the room; he had appeared in the corner of the ceiling at some unknown point.
"Then I'll just dismantle you into a pile of scrap metal first!"
The battle erupted instantly!
The small apartment,
instantly turned into a battlefield.
Sonic's figure seemed to turn into an invisible wind, shuttling at high speed through the room, leaving behind trails of afterimages, making it impossible to distinguish the real body.
Genos, on the other hand, stood firmly on the ground, his palm's Incineration Cannon continuously outputting energy.
"Bang! Bang! Clang! Clang! Clang!"
The sounds of energy beams colliding with ninja blades were incessant.
Saitama's apartment was brutally ravaged by the aftermath of their battle, the walls covered with traces of the fight, a large hole blasted in the ceiling, and the tables, chairs, and benches reduced to fragments.
"Hey! You two! My apartment..."
Saitama's voice rang out, and an aura a hundred times more terrifying than Sonic's earlier killing intent emanated from him.
He slowly stood up, his previously dull eyes becoming incredibly serious, and his entire being instantly glowed red, accompanied by "rage" special effects.
"Too slow! Your attack pattern is too monotonous!" Sonic laughed wildly, appearing increasingly confident.
He darted back and forth between the walls and ceiling, his speed growing faster and faster, eventually forming four distinct afterimages that attacked Genos simultaneously from four directions.
"Secret Technique: Four Shadow Burial!"
"Scanning four high-speed targets, unable to determine the main body!
Genos made a decisive move, crossing his arms in front of him, while simultaneously boosting his energy output to maximum, "If that's the case, I'll destroy them all!"
"Spiral Incineration Cannon!"
Just as Genos was about to unleash his ultimate Incineration Cannon, capable of leveling the entire apartment building—
"Rumble—!!!"
Genos, who was preparing to release his ultimate move, and Sonic, who had transformed into four ghostly figures, were both instantly thrown out of the room by an irresistible force!
Two standard human-shaped holes were brutally punched through the side walls of the apartment.
Only a dumbfounded Saitama and a clapping Lin Mo remained in the room.
"If you're going to fight, do it outside, okay? Saitama's apartment is already small..."
