In its countless years of existence, it had never encountered a woman who stirred such primal hunger. Of course, it knew the source of that craving—the irresistible allure of the Woeful Poison Body.
To a beast born of venom, her existence was a divine elixir. Even her faint scent sent tremors through its very soul.
At first, the creature merely wanted to devour her, to absorb her poisonous essence. But after seeing her beauty, it craved something worse—a way to taste her again and again.
The desire in the beast's eyes made Liu Xi's patience evaporate. The last fool who'd dared to speak that way had lost his sect, his life, and his bones. His voice fell like cold iron. "Beast. Today I'll take both your Monster Core and your blood essence."
"Ah Da—attack."
BOOM!
A blinding silver light erupted behind Liu Xi, roaring through the air like lightning tearing open the heavens. The impact split the silence with a deafening crack.
In an instant, the Earth Demon Puppet appeared before the Sky Poison Dragon Scorpion Beast, its steel body gleaming, its aura terrifying.
Shock flashed across the beast's eyes. The silent silver giant before it radiated strength—swift, overwhelming, and unyielding.
It roared, extending clawed hands tipped with blood-red talons, and slammed forward.
Bang!
A dull explosion shook the ravine as a violent shockwave shredded the surrounding air, ripping spiderweb-like cracks across space itself.
Both figures staggered back. The beast flapped its enormous wings, steadying itself midair, though its arm quivered slightly from the impact.
Ah Da, meanwhile, had merely taken a step back—its iron frame unmarred.
They seemed evenly matched, but in truth, Ah Da held the upper hand.
The Sky Poison Dragon Scorpion Beast's expression darkened as it glared at the emotionless puppet. "So this is your trump card? A puppet rivaling a high-rank Dou Zong—impressive." Its lips curled into a cold sneer. "But let's see how long you can keep up."
Spreading its arms wide, it threw back its head and unleashed a thunderous roar that shook the heavens.
The roar rippled through the ravine, and suddenly, the ground began to tremble violently.
A distant hissing tide rose, echoing through the chasms.
Liu Xi's eyes narrowed as he looked toward the horizon—and his face hardened.
A black wave was sweeping toward them like a living sea, churning clouds of venomous miasma into the sky.
Xiao Yixian's face turned grave. She moved beside Liu Xi in a flash. "Young Master, be careful! Those are the poison beasts of the Fallen God Ravine!"
The incoming black tide surged closer, revealing a vast army of venomous beasts—thousands, tens of thousands—each exhaling poisonous mist that thickened the already dark clouds above.
Amid that army, Liu Xi detected two distinct auras, each powerful enough to rival a 4-Star Dou Zong.
The Sky Poison Dragon Scorpion Beast smirked wickedly. "I am the ruler of this land. You've entered my territory—your life and death belong to me!"
Liu Xi's fingers brushed his white Storage Ring. A phantom of Yao Tianhuo drifted out, its ethereal form blazing faintly.
Liu Xi grinned. "Elder Yao, we'll be needing your help this time. Those 7th Rank beast essences are crucial for refining the new body—you can't just sit back and watch."
Yao Tianhuo chuckled mischievously. "Oh, I see how it is. You're not after that beast's essence for me—you're doing it for your little lover, aren't you?"
Liu Xi smiled softly, glancing at Xiao Yixian's blushing face. "Maybe both. The Sky Poison Dragon Scorpion Beast's essence will help your resurrection and your power recovery. But it'll also help her poison evolve."
Yao Tianhuo's teasing faded. His voice grew solemn. "Understood. But with my current Spiritual Power, I can't fight it head-on. I'll focus on restraining the lesser Dou Zongs."
Liu Xi nodded. "That's all I need. Elder Yao, handle the two 4-Star Dou Zong beasts. Xian'er, the poison beast army is yours."
"As for the Sky Poison Dragon Scorpion Beast—Ah Da and I will take it together. I'll deploy the Five Ring Flame Expelling Formation with my Heavenly Flame to burn it alive. Zi Yan—you stay back. You're our key support; strike only when necessary."

Liu Xi froze for a heartbeat as the connection hit him—Zi Yan's true lineage. A slow, knowing smile spread across his face. "Haha, that's my mistake. With Zi Yan here, this little beast won't last a breath. One flick of your finger, and it'll be reduced to ashes."
Zi Yan's eyes sparkled with excitement. "One flick… reduced to ashes…" she repeated softly, her small fists clenching as she raised her chin high. "Exactly! Just a little Sky Poison Dragon Scorpion Beast—no big deal!"
Xiao Yixian blinked at the two of them, utterly lost. "Young Master, Zi Yan's only a Dou Huang—how can she…"
Liu Xi only smiled. "Don't worry. With Zi Yan here, our hunt will be flawless."
Meanwhile, the Sky Poison Dragon Scorpion Beast had noticed Yao Tianhuo's spectral form. Its brow furrowed, voice dripping with menace. "You've come prepared… but let's see if you can handle this!"
It reared back and roared, unleashing waves of sound that rippled through the entire ravine.
"ROAR! ROAR! ROAR!"
From the distance, the army of poison beasts screamed in unison. The clouds of venom above churned violently, drawn toward their master.
Liu Xi's face turned grim. "It's trying to merge with the poison mist! If it succeeds, we'll be overwhelmed!"
He shouted sharply, "Xian'er! Elder Yao! Stop the beast army from reaching it! Don't let the poison clouds fuse!"
"Understood! Young Master, Zi Yan—be careful!"
Xiao Yixian's aura exploded outward, her killing intent blazing as she darted off toward the incoming tide, her gray-violet eyes burning with cold resolve.
If things went south, she was ready to fully unleash her Woeful Poison Body—even if it meant destruction.
"Be careful, my friend," Yao Tianhuo's fading voice echoed as his spectral form trembled and dispersed into the air. "I'll keep those beasts off you."
His spirit vanished completely, leaving behind only his unwavering will.
Liu Xi exhaled, eyes narrowing as he turned toward the towering dragon-scorpion. A dangerous smile curved his lips. "Zi Yan… let's begin."
