Chapter 632 - Chapter 631: The Three Clans’ Blood Sacrifice

Within the Hun Realm—just beyond the spatial gate.

The endless flood of invading troops surged into the Hun Realm under the command of their respective leaders, forming a vast fan-shaped formation as they stormed in every direction. For the first time, the combined army of the three clans held an overwhelming advantage over the Hun Clan. Though the enemy had prepared defenses, they were crushed under the fury of the united assault—one Hun Clan Expert after another was slain in the chaos.

Once the front lines were broken through, Gu Yuan no longer acted personally. He hovered high above the coalition, his Spiritual Perception spread wide, vigilant for any hidden schemes of Hun Tiandi. Gu Yuan did not believe that the man who annihilated the Xiao, Ling, Shi, and Yao Clans, and drove the Gu, Lei, and Yan Clans to the brink of extinction, would truly leave no backup plan—even if he was grievously wounded.

Shouts and killing cries filled the air. As the battle raged on, the dead piled higher and the thick scent of blood grew ever stronger. The Hun Realm itself was grim and lightless—no sunlight shone here, only a vast crimson moon hanging in the heavens. Its blood-hued glow illuminated the land but carried no warmth, only a chilling gloom that made the skin crawl.

The architectural style of the Hun Clan differed greatly from the continent's—palatial, ornate structures carved with exquisite precision, yet every line exuded a sense of sinister evil. Now, under waves of violent Dou Qi bombardment, those structures were being reduced to rubble one after another.

No one cared about the destruction. As the last waves of the three-clan coalition poured into the Hun Realm, the collapse of the Hun Clan accelerated. It truly looked as though the end of the Hun Clan was near.

Watching the enemy crumble like a mountain of corpses, Gu Yuan couldn't help the faint smile tugging at his lips. If this was a trap, then the price the Hun Clan paid was far too steep. "Perhaps I overestimated them… or maybe Hun Tiandi's injuries really left him near death. To see the Hun Clan fall so easily is beyond expectation. Just what kind of power did Liu Xi wield to wound him so grievously? For even we, who possess Dou Di Bloodlines, could never reach such talent!" His voice grew lower, tinged with an unspoken dread—the existence of Liu Xi was something that even Gu Yuan found hard to fathom.

A sudden scream ripped through the air, jolting Gu Yuan's attention. His expression changed sharply. "What's going on?"

Following the sound, he saw blood pooling on the ground where a Hun Clan Expert had fallen. The crimson liquid slithered across the dirt, weaving itself into strange patterns. Earlier, nothing seemed abnormal, but now that the runes had absorbed enough blood, they began to glow with an eerie red radiance.

Under that light, the warriors of the three clans suddenly convulsed—their blood coursing wildly, like worms crawling beneath their skin. Within moments, their bodies burst apart into clouds of blood mist. The mist was immediately drawn into those crimson lines, feeding the formation as the blood energy grew thicker and the stench of iron filled the air.

This was only the beginning. Across the battlefield, more such lines ignited, glowing blood-red as they connected to one another. The intricate web of runes pulsed with malevolent energy—until at last, a horrific formation fully awakened.

"The Devouring Spirit Eliminating Life Formation! No—fall back!"

Gu Yuan's face twisted in horror. Even he was shaken by Hun Tiandi's madness. To lay down such a vicious formation that devoured all living souls within his own realm—this went far beyond cruelty.

He had expected traps across the continent, but never imagined that Hun Tiandi would also turn the Hun Realm itself into one. The formation's power was monstrous, and once activated, every living being within it—enemy or ally—became part of the sacrifice. Even the Hun Clan themselves were not spared.

Hun Tiandi had gone completely insane, dragging his entire clan to die with him.

As the ground split apart, torrents of scarlet light surged upward, spreading through the entire Hun Realm like rivers of blood. In an instant, the coalition suffered massive losses. Dou Zongs and Dou Zuns were slaughtered without resistance, their flesh torn apart and melted into the altar as nourishment for the ritual.

Gu Yuan's heart ached. These were the final elites of the Gu Clan, now perishing in droves. Nearby, Elder Huo Ling and Lei Jie of the Yan and Lei Clans were likewise stunned and furious, their faces mirrors of shared despair.

Fiery red flames erupted from Elder Huo Ling's palms, burning at the waves of scarlet light—but the result was almost nonexistent. The bloody glow was endless, unstoppable. Her lovely face turned pale, trembling as she cried out, "Clan Leader Gu Yuan! What should we do now?"

What could he do? Though he feared no formation, he could not abandon his clansmen like worthless weeds. "We must retreat! Hun Tiandi has lost his mind. Even without us, he'll destroy his own clan!"

He had misjudged Hun Tiandi's ruthlessness. There were men who would sacrifice themselves for their people—like Yan Jin or Lei Ying—but Hun Tiandi was the opposite. He would sacrifice his entire clan for himself.

Gu Yuan roared, summoning boundless Dou Qi as he struck at the massive blood barrier. The world trembled under the force of his blow; the screen of blood rippled violently, as if about to shatter. Countless eyes turned toward him—the last hope of survival. If he could not break through, they would all die here, their corpses feeding the formation.

Then came a voice—hoarse, ghastly, crawling straight into the soul.

"Gu Yuan… stop struggling. All of you will stay here… and become my strength!"

The sound was like ten thousand vengeful spirits screaming in unison. Gu Yuan's eyes widened. "Hun! Tian! Di!"

The crimson barrier quaked violently but refused to break. High above, the blood moon swelled ever larger, glowing ever brighter—until with a sharp crack, it shattered like a mirror. The illusion of a moon vanished, revealing a vast blood sea stretching across the sky.

And upon that sea sat a monstrous figure—neither man nor ghost—its flesh charred and mangled beyond recognition, skin flayed and burnt to ash, barely clinging to life. From the blood sea rose endless streams of mist, feeding into the creature and slowly repairing its broken body.

Suddenly, the abomination opened its eyes—hollow, without pupils, dark and void.

When it spoke, the voice was the same rasp that had chilled them all.

"This formation connects directly to my Blood Sea. The Blood Sea itself is formed from the slaughtered souls of the Ling Clan, Shi Clan, and my own Hun Clan. Even a 9-Star Dou Saint cannot break it quickly."

"You madman!" Lei Jie's roar echoed with grief as more of his Lei Clan warriors exploded into mist. "You've even sacrificed your own people!"

Hun Tiandi's voice was eerily calm. "If the world betrays me, then I shall betray the world. A thousand years of preparation—ruined by that Liu Xi! I lost the Void Devouring Flame, failed to seize the Yao bloodline, and nearly burned to death myself."

His tone twisted into rage, each word shaking the heavens. "All this blood will mend my shattered essence! With your sacrifice, I shall not only recover but ascend to an unprecedented peak. Once I kill Liu Xi and reclaim the ancient jade, I alone shall be the clan!"
