Chapter 646 - Chapter 644: Clouds Stir Across the Lands

In the western reaches of the Great Thousand World, amidst an unnamed mountain range, a towering Bodhisattva Ancient Tree pierced the heavens. Its immense trunk stretched higher than any mountain, drawing endlessly upon the deep, flowing power of the world's ley lines beneath the earth.

Above, the vast canopy breathed in and out boundless Spiritual Energy between heaven and earth. Every branch and leaf shimmered with radiant light, each glimmer infused with the serenity of enlightenment — gazing upon it, one could almost feel wisdom stirring in their heart.

This was why the Bodhisattva Ancient Tree was also called the Tree of Reincarnated Wisdom, for those who approached it could awaken their perception and comprehend the truths of heaven and earth.

At the base of the colossal trunk, a lone figure sat cross-legged upon a massive stone. The small figure was Liu Xi. The Bodhisattva Ancient Tree drew in endless Spiritual Energy from the world, and in doing so, shared part of that energy with him — like a sacred treasure that gathered the energy of heaven and earth, compressing it into an invisible tide that surged toward Liu Xi.

Because of this, the conversion between his dissipating Dou Qi and the new Spiritual Energy of this world had become significantly faster.

Yet such a monumental disturbance could not go unnoticed. This vast western continent was known as the Western Heaven Continent, and the region Liu Xi now resided in was called Lesser Western Heaven Realm.

Though this continent could not rival the Super Continents in sheer expanse, its heritage of peak powerhouses was among the greatest throughout the entire Great Thousand World.

In ancient times, the Lesser Western Heaven Realm had birthed a peerless woman — Luo Shen, once hailed as the First Beauty of the Great Thousand World.

Her name had echoed through every realm; even the extraterritorial races beyond the skies had heard of her beauty. Countless proud Heavenly Sovereigns had bowed their heads at her feet, but what made her truly legendary was that her strength stood among the highest peaks of the Great Thousand World. Her beauty and her power had both become timeless tales that endured through endless ages.

The clan she descended from was the Luo God Clan, once the sovereign rulers of the Lesser Western Heaven Realm. But as the long river of time flowed, their glory had dimmed.

Now, in this generation, only one High Level Earth Sovereign and several Lower Earth Sovereigns remained to uphold the fading heritage of the Luo God Clan.

Meanwhile, their former subordinate clans — the Blood God Clan, Strength God Clan, and Bone God Clan — had risen to prominence. While the Luo God Clan declined, these three vassal clans flourished, until their combined power rivaled, even surpassed, their once-master.

As the master weakened and the servants grew strong, the inevitable result was conflict. The three clans grew increasingly ambitious, while the Luo God Clan became their common target of suppression.

In recent years, the four clans had reached a fragile parity — but the Blood God Clan was already showing signs of overtaking the others, threatening even to seize the title of the foremost among the Four God Clans.

Within the heart of the Luo God Clan's territory stood an ancient city — Luo God City. Towering and majestic, its stones were steeped in history. A great river bisected the city, flowing from one end to the other before curving outward and encircling it completely in a vast, protective loop.

This river shimmered like starlight — brighter even than the night sky. Its rushing waters nourished the city endlessly. It was the Luo River, the sacred river of the Luo God Clan. Every year, the clan's people gathered upon its banks to pray and give thanks, for the Luo River was said to carry their ancestor's divine blessing.

At the city's center rose the Luo God Palace, a complex of grand palaces exuding sacred majesty. From within its gates emerged an aged figure radiating immeasurable authority — the current Clan Leader of the Luo God Clan, Luo Tianshen.

His expression was grim as he gazed far into the horizon, where a massive vortex of Spiritual Energy spiraled violently, drawing the endless energy of heaven and earth into itself. Even from this distance, he could feel its pulse.

After a long breath, Luo Tianshen muttered solemnly, "An otherworldly treasure has appeared."

Moments later, several figures descended upon the palace square in flashes of light. Among them was a middle-aged man bearing resemblance to Luo Tianshen, yet younger and far more vigorous — his son, the Luo Clan's young Clan Leader.

"Father," he said gravely, "we sensed it too. Such an anomaly within our clan's territory… I cannot tell whether it is a blessing or a calamity."

Before Luo Tianshen could reply, an elder with pride gleaming in his eyes stepped forward, his tone fervent and greedy. "Young Clan Leader is mistaken! This is clearly heaven's favor! By the grace of our ancestor Luo Shen, a sacred treasure descends upon us in our clan's moment of peril. We must claim it immediately and restore our glory!"

Two other elders nodded in agreement. To them, anything that appeared within the Luo God Clan's lands naturally belonged to them by right.

But Luo Tianshen's face remained solemn. He knew better — if he could sense this Spiritual Energy disturbance, then so could the Blood God Clan, the Strength God Clan, and the Bone God Clan. The moment they moved, blood would flow like rivers.

This could either be a blessing or a disaster — but to retreat without trying was not an option. The Luo God Clan had fallen too far already. If this treasure were seized by others, their clan would never recover again.

"Yi'er," Luo Tianshen commanded at last, "mobilize our forces. No matter what this treasure is, it must not fall into another's hands!"

"Yes, Father."

The young Clan Leader bowed deeply, his heart heavy. He understood his father's burden — the clan could barely endure another great upheaval. Yet the die had been cast.

Luo Tianshen turned to the three elders. "You three will accompany me. Since this treasure lies within our domain, we will not yield it to anyone."

"As you command!" the three elders answered in unison, their voices resolute. In the Luo God Clan, no one dared question Luo Tianshen's word.

Meanwhile, far away in the Blood God Clan's domain —

In the core of Blood God City, a river of crimson surrounded the city like a living serpent. The Blood River boiled with countless corpses steeped in killing intent, exuding a terrifying aura of bloodlust. It was an imitation of the Luo River — an artificial creation born from their hatred and their desire to surpass the Luo God Clan.

Their cultivation arts thrived upon this sea of blood. The longer the wars raged, the stronger they became.

At the Blood God Palace, the Blood God Clan's Clan Leader, Xue Lingzi, stood upon the terrace, his crimson eyes flickering with greed as he stared toward the distant Luo God territory.

"Hah," he laughed coldly, "as expected of the Luo God Clan, occupying the richest lands of the Lesser Western Heaven Realm. Even from here, I can sense that Spiritual Energy surge. A sacred treasure indeed… Once it falls into our hands, it will mark the day the Luo God Clan perishes."

Similar scenes unfolded across the Strength God and Bone God Clans.

All Four God Clans began to mobilize their armies, their ambitions blazing as they raced toward the site of the disturbance.

And yet Liu Xi, seated beneath the vast Bodhisattva Ancient Tree, remained completely unaware that the Spiritual Energy his tree had drawn from heaven and earth had already shaken the foundations of the entire Western Heaven Continent.
