Chapter 304 - Chapter 304: Trisolarans?

Under Qingxu's relentless assault, the monsters on the field were quickly vanquished.

"Hmm... how to put it? She's about average among the trial characters—not particularly strong. It all depends on how her Constellation upgrades improve her performance."

After eagerly anticipating this character for so long, Chen Xiyao had hoped for a Hydro DPS powerhouse. While her demonstrated damage was respectable, she couldn't shake off a lingering sense of disappointment.

Chen Xiyao clicked "Retry Trial" and reopened the character panel:

Character: Mu Qingxu

Weapon: Tidesong Jade Splinter (5-star spear)

Base Attack: 674 Crit Damage: 44.1%

Special Effect (when wielded by Qingxu): Jade Splinter Battle Song

Weapon Effect:

Normal Attack hits stack Tide Mark stacks, each increasing Hydro DMG Bonus by 8% (up to 5 stacks). With 5 Tide Mark stacks, trigger Jade Splintering Surge: the next Charged Attack's AoE is doubled, dealing 300% of ATK as Hydro DMG and clearing all Tide Mark stacks.

Normal Attack:

Flowing Cloud Spear Technique: A four-stage continuous thrust, with the final strike launching enemies into the air.

Charged Attack:

Consumes 25 Stamina. Qingxu leaps high by bracing the spear against the ground, then slams down with a powerful downward strike (counted as a Plunging Attack).

"Hmm?" Noticing this, Chen Xiyao immediately checked Qingxu's Plunging Attack multipliers.

She had a sudden realization: she must have been mistaken during her initial test. Qingxu's attack must be a plunge attack!

How else could the weapon's charged attack be linked to a plunge attack?

Plunge attack, tenth-level multiplier: 360% at low altitude, 450% at high altitude.

As a Genshin Impact streamer, Chen Xiyao often reviewed characters, so she was familiar with their plunge attack multipliers.

To put it simply, Diluc currently had the highest plunge attack multiplier, but even his multiplier couldn't match Qingxu's.

Moreover, executing Diluc's plunge attack was notoriously difficult, deterring many players.

Qingxu, on the other hand, had a charged attack that was a plunge attack.

Chen Xiyao didn't linger. She immediately returned to the trial stage.

When the monster appeared, she immediately used Qingxu's normal attacks. With each basic attack, a blue slash appeared above Qingxu's head. After five normal attacks, the slashes formed a line, and Chen Xiyao immediately triggered Qingxu's charged attack!

Qingxu braced her spear against the ground, used it to vault into the air, and swung the spear in a wide arc before smashing it down.

Over 30,000!

Chen Xiyao's heart leaped with joy. She had finally figured out how to properly use Qingxu.

They continued testing. After activating her ultimate, Qingxu could fully stack Tide Mark with a single normal attack. Her attack stat was 30,000, but that wasn't all. Immediately after Qingxu's attack, Qingge's attack would follow, dealing 50,000 damage!

And this was without any other character support. Imagine the damage with additional buffs...

Bennett activated his ultimate, followed by Kazuha's, Xiangling's, and finally Qingxu's. With Tide Mark fully stacked, she unleashed a charged attack!

Qingxu dealt 70,000 damage, while Qingge's attack soared to 100,000!

"Holy shit!!!" Chen Xiyao exclaimed. This wasn't a one-time burst; as long as Qingxu had stamina during her ultimate's duration, she could spam charged attacks indefinitely!

"Pull her! She's a must-have character! Her gameplay feels amazing, the visuals are stunning, and the damage is insane!"

[I was already planning to pull her, but now I want her even more!]

[Aaaaaaah! My 700+ pulls are finally going to be useful! I didn't get Qingge, but Qingxu will do! I'm going for C6 R5!]

[Damn it! I shouldn't have pulled for Big Bro! Now I don't even have a pity!]

[Streamer, streamer! Hurry up and show us your pulls!]

Chen Xiyao didn't rush. She clicked back into Qingxu's character screen.

Elemental Combat Technique: Abyssal Sea Rending Wave.

Tap: Sweep the spear to unleash a Hydro Blade in a cross pattern, dealing area-of-effect Hydro damage and generating two Torrential Hydro Orbs that orbit around the character.

Hold: Leap backward, charge, and launch a Tidal Surge, dealing massive Hydro damage in a straight line. If the attack hits an enemy afflicted with Wet, an additional Torrential Hydro Orb is generated.

Torrential Hydro Orb Effects:

Automatically attacks nearby enemies every 0.5 seconds. Each orb increases Mu Qingxu's attack speed by 10%. * Up to five orbs can be active simultaneously.

Elemental Burst: Lament of a Thousand Tides

Activation Effects:

Summons a massive wave, dealing massive Hydro damage to surrounding enemies. Summons the Sister Phantom, which merges with her spear for 18 seconds, entering the Twin Spear Resonance state.

Twin Spear Resonance State:

While in this state, Mu Qingxu's Normal and Charged Attacks trigger additional Phantom strikes, each dealing area-of-effect Hydro damage equal to 60% of her Attack.

Domain Effect:

A Tidal Surge Domain expands around the character, inflicting Tidal Erosion on all enemies within (Hydro Resistance -20%, Movement Speed -30%).

State Buffs:

Mu Qingxu gains a 40% Hydro damage bonus and increased resistance to interruption.

Energy Cost: 70 points.

Constellation:

Constellation 1: Lone Moon Shines on the Cold Abyss: Increases the maximum number of Torrential Hydro Orbs from her Elemental Skill by 5 and extends the dash distance of her Held Elemental Skill by 50%.

Constellation 2: Tidesong Splits the Vast Sky: Within the Burst Domain, Mu Qingxu's Crit Rate increases by 15%, and her Crit DMG increases by 30%.

Constellation 4: Jade Splinter Burns the Azure Sea: When the weapon effect "Jade Splintering Surge" is triggered, reset Charged Attack stamina consumption and increase attack range by 100%.

Constellation 6: Thousand Waves Bury the Divine Remains: During the Burst's duration, the Phantom's attack frequency doubles, triggering twice per Normal/Charged Attack. Defeating an enemy extends the Burst's duration by 4 seconds (up to a maximum of 12 seconds).

Passive Talent 1: Abyssal Sea Pursuit: When a Charged Attack hits a Wet enemy, restores 3 Elemental Energy (2-second cooldown).

Passive Talent 2: Power of the Tidal Surge: For each Torrential Hydro Orb present, Qingxu's Charged Attack damage increases by 10%.

Utility Talent: Abyssal Sea Resonance: Swimming stamina consumption is reduced by 20%. Rare fish in Liyue's waters are automatically detected and marked.

After reading this, Chen Xiyao immediately opened the gacha interface.

Abyssal Sea Twins - Mu Qingxu, Limited-Time Wish Event.

"Here we go, Chat! Let's see how my luck holds up this time. I've already done sixty pulls, so let's try another ten!"

Chen Xiyao was using her own account, which still had over three hundred pulls.

She knew that with her account's abysmal luck, getting a C6R5 would definitely require spending money. The only question was how much.

The first ten-pull yielded no gold, only Xiangling.

The second ten-pull finally produced gold, but hitting pity at 80 pulls was hardly cause for celebration.

Diluc of Mondstadt answers the call—

"Aaaah! Grandpa, no! I'm already maxed out!"

Chen Xiyao was on the verge of a breakdown. All she got was one Diluc, with not a single purple character to show for it.

The chat erupted in mocking laughter. Chen Xiyao froze for a few seconds, then stubbornly continued.

The second gold, hitting the hard pity again, came at eighty pulls.

Next, the eighty-pull soft pity veered off course, landing on Qiqi. The subsequent eighty-pull hard pity rewarded her with only Qingxu.

Chen Xiyao's eyes were bloodshot as she slammed her finger down on the next ten-pull.
