Chapter 294 - Chapter 294 The Enraged Ainz Ooal Gown (Part 2)

Outskirts of E-Rantel, Katze Plains.

Looking out, on the vast plain stood a huge ruin resembling a plaza.

It was less of a ruin and more of a giant tomb.

This tomb was none other than the Great Tomb of Nazarick.

And what was visible on the surface was merely the tip of the iceberg of the Great Tomb of Nazarick.

Shifting the view inside the tomb, a huge corridor several meters high and wide enough for several carriages to ride abreast came into view.

Although it was a tomb, the walls and floor of the corridor were spotless, even more impressive than the royal palace of the Kingdom.

Looking down the tall corridor, at the end of the line of sight stood a majestic, enormous palace.

At this moment, on the uppermost throne of the palace sat a tall figure.

This tall figure was none other than Ainz Ooal Gown, who had teleported here from E-Rantel.

Furthermore, standing gracefully beside Ainz Ooal Gown was a woman.

This woman had very beautiful appearance.

A white dress showcased her curvaceous body to the fullest, and behind her, there's a pair of black wings.

An angel's face and a devil's figure probably described this woman.

This woman was none other than the Chief Guardian of the Great Tomb of Nazarick, Albedo.

"Main Control Source activate!"

As soon as Ainz finished speaking, a virtual screen resembling a game's main menu appeared before him.

On the screen's list was a column of names.

Cocytus

Demiurge

Shalltear Bloodfallen

Aura Bella Fiora

These were all the names of the Floor Guardians of the Great Tomb of Nazarick.

Among them, Shalltear Bloodfallen's name was displayed in an abnormal red color.

"Is this your reason for judging that Shalltear has rebelled?"

Ainz looked at Shalltear's red name on the virtual screen and asked Albedo beside him.

Hearing Ainz's question, Albedo answered in a melodious voice: "After failing to contact Shalltear, I checked the list and found Shalltear's name was red!"

Ainz then asked: "Is it possible she died?"

"If Shalltear died, her name would disappear."

After responding to Ainz, Albedo then proposed somewhat angrily: "Ainz-sama, we should eliminate the traitor Shalltear as soon as possible!"

"Calm down, Albedo. Right now, we don't know the specific situation with Shalltear!"

"First, let's find Shalltear before anything else!"

As he spoke, Ainz raised his right arm, his skeletal hand grabbing at the void.

A cavity instantly appeared in the void.

When Ainz's skeletal hand withdrew from the void cavity, he was holding an item resembling a crystal ball.

This was a divine-class item used for finding people.

Currently, Ainz intended to use this divine-class item to investigate Shalltear's condition.

Without any hesitation, Ainz immediately activated the divine-class item.

The next second, an image appeared within the crystal ball before him.

The image showed the place where Kenichi and Shalltear had fought.

"Hmm?"

Looking at the image in the crystal ball, the crimson flames in Ainz's skeletal pupils flickered slightly.

"What is it, Ainz-sama?"

Albedo looked at Ainz and asked.

"Strange, why can't I find Shalltear?"

Ainz adjusted the divine-class item several more times, but the image it displayed was always the place where Kenichi and Shalltear had fought.

Shalltear herself simply did not appear.

In the Overlord World, items were ranked from low to high as: Low, Middle, High, Top, Rare, Legacy, Relic, Legendary, Divine, World.

Divine-class items, although not the very top tier, still possessed great power.

For example, the Spuit Lance in Shalltear's hand was a Divine-class weapon.

Now, Ainz was using a Divine-class scrying item, yet he couldn't find Shalltear's whereabouts. Even Ainz was very surprised.

"Can't find Shalltear? How could that be?"

Albedo also knew the capabilities of Divine-class items. Hearing Ainz's words now, she leaned in to stare at the crystal ball, her pretty face full of disbelief.

Ainz's slender skeletal fingers repeatedly manipulated the image in the crystal ball.

But no matter how he adjusted it, he just couldn't find Shalltear.

He looked again at Shalltear's red name on the virtual screen, then back at the image in the crystal ball.

'What exactly happened?'

'A Divine-class item actually can't find Shalltear!'

'The only confirmation is that Shalltear is still alive. Her name being red likely means she is under the control of some mental-type item or magic!'

'If even a Divine-class item can't find Shalltear, it's possible Shalltear is using a Divine-class anti-detection item, or perhaps Shalltear has gone to some other dimension...'

Ainz thought continuously.

But the more he thought, the more irritated he became.

The skeletal hand gripping the edge of the throne exerted increasing force.

Finally, Ainz lost his patience.

"Damn it..."

Ainz roared in fury, his skeletal hand suddenly clenching with force. The throne, made of some unknown metal, was directly crushed.

At the same time, a green light appeared on Ainz's body.

This light was Ainz's Force Calm mechanism.

But even with this Force Calm, the anger in Ainz's heart still could not be pacified.

The crimson flames in Ainz's skeletal pupils flickered wildly. Then he commanded Albedo: "Albedo, notify everyone. Nazarick is to devote its full efforts to searching for Shalltear's whereabouts!"

"As you command!"

This was also the first time Albedo had seen Ainz so enraged.

Hearing Ainz's words, Albedo didn't hesitate at all. After responding to Ainz, she walked out of the great hall.

After Albedo's figure completely disappeared, Ainz's extremely angry voice rang out in the great hall.

"Whoever is controlling Shalltear, I will drag them out!"

"Prepare to endure the wrath of Nazarick!"
