Chapter 38 - Chapter 38: The Transformers’ Encounter with a Human Girl

Chapter 38: The Transformers' Encounter with a Human Girl

"Ah! Ah! Monster! The monster killed someone! Help!"

Terrified, the remaining bandits screamed incoherently as they fled back into the desert. Meanwhile,

our lord Starscream translated their language.

"Host, the 'god' they mentioned earlier sounded like a compliment ... as if they saw us as superior beings. But now they use the word 'monster,' turning it into an insult! Perhaps these ordinary humans were lying all along. The logic of such inferior creatures is truly difficult to grasp. It seems their civilization still needs millions of years to reach Cybertron's level!"

Well, getting a Transformer to understand human civilization was certainly a challenge ... the communication gap was enormous. However, Starscream detected hostility in their voices. Combined with what those bandits had just tried to do to the girl, he felt a strange disgust. Without hesitation, he drew his laser pistol.

"Bang! Bang! Bang!"

"Pff! Pff! Pff!"

Three more shots ... and the three remaining men were reduced to ashes. In this endless sea of sand, no one would ever know what happened that day… except for the girl sitting on the ground not far away, frozen in shock.

"You ... what's your name? Where do you come from? Tell me everything you know!"

Red Spider had just arrived on this planet and knew nothing about the lives of ordinary humans. But there was no one else to ask, and unlike sonic sensors, he had no brainwave detector. So, he raised his weapon, using the most primitive method to get the confession he wanted.

"Waaah! No! Don't kill me! No, please...!"

Unfortunately, the method Red Spider used to communicate with humans didn't seem to work very well. The terrified girl screamed for a while before fainting, leaving Red Spider utterly speechless.

"System, check this girl. I don't think I did anything to her ... I just pointed a gun so she'd talk. She's not dead, right?"

Seeing the scene, Red Spider felt completely helpless. Had he gone too far? Logically, he had saved her ... preventing those four men from "eating" her…

But the Transformer System didn't share Red Spider's sense of humor. It emitted red and blue light, scanned the girl, and gave its report.

"Host, the scan shows this human's physical condition is basically normal. Most likely she fainted from fear, resulting in temporary loss of consciousness. However, when she will wake depends on her physiology. I suggest you remain calm during the next interrogation. Clearly, this human is very afraid of us."

Wow. The humans of this dark civilization really weren't very civilized ... especially after witnessing Red Spider's "methods." This girl probably already saw him as some kind of giant demon robot.

"What now? Do we just wait here for her to wake up on her own? How boring!"

Red Spider sighed, holstered his laser pistol, and scratched his large metal head ... which was, by now, full of sand. What an irritating environment!

"Host, this system advises against leaving this human in the desert. The temperature difference between day and night is extreme. As a warm-blooded creature, she likely cannot withstand such drastic changes."

Impressive ... despite being new to the planet, the system could perfectly analyze the biological traits of the local species and give very accurate advice.

"So what should I do? Use those rags on the ground to start a fire?"

"This system also does not recommend that. If you wish, you can place the human girl inside your cockpit and provide her with oxygen and stable temperature. That would help her recover more quickly."

That was the best suggestion the Transformer System could give ... though it sounded excessive.

Compared to Transformers, who could endure both extreme heat and cold, these humans were incredibly fragile. Even if Cybertron needed pets, surely they wouldn't choose creatures like this, right? He wondered how the pioneers from other universes had documented this planet's lifeforms.

"This is troublesome… but fine, I'll follow your suggestion."

Though he found it troublesome, Starscream still believed the Transformer System's method was the most reasonable. He extended his giant mechanical hand and carefully lifted the human girl.

He didn't dare grip too tightly ... afraid of causing irreversible harm. The cockpit door on Starscream's robotic form opened automatically, revealing two seats ... one in front, one behind. He placed the girl in the front seat and closed the cockpit door.

She was probably the first human on this planet ever to ride inside a fighter jet.

"Twenty-five degrees sound good? And you're lucky ... I'll even play some music. But don't touch my instruments! I'll have to fasten your seatbelt."

The whole situation was deeply strange for Starscream. A Transformer warrior who had lived for millions of years ... after a bizarre fusion of sparks ... had somehow become an Autobot spy, and now, inexplicably, found himself on a completely new planet, caring for the first human he'd ever met… like she was a kitten. The feeling was truly strange ... indescribably strange!

Whether it was due to her natural recovery or the soothing cosmic music, the girl finally awoke two hours later. She rubbed her eyes, stretched, and said something that left Red Spider utterly baffled:

"Mom, why does our tent look different? It's so low!"

Okay… what's a tent? Some kind of dwelling for these ordinary humans? Or was this girl still half asleep?
