"You're not Iwagakure shinobi," Kuishan growled.
"But you still tried to disguise yourselves as Tōnin ninja," he continued coldly.
"You even used Earth Release against us earlier," "And if I'm not mistaken"
His killing intent surged.
"You intended to kill us, then pin the blame on Iwagakure missing-nin, didn't you?"
"Speak! Who are you really?!"
"And where is my sister?!"
Kuishan's fury exploded.
If they had impersonated random Tōnin shinobi, that would've been tolerable.
But they chose to impersonate his sister which meant that these people must have seen her, perhaps even captured her.
And that thought wrapped icy dread around his heart.
The operative posing as "Wang Tu" realized their cover was blown.
Her eyes hardened instantly.
She issued a cold order to her subordinates:
"The Nukenin from Kirigakure and the foreigner kill them. No need for mercy."
"But the Iwagakure missing-nin must be taken alive."
"He'll serve as clear, undeniable evidence for Danzo-sama to move against the Uchiha."
"Yes!"
The two Root operatives lunged toward Gabriel again!
It was worth mentioning
Danzo wanted tonight's operation to be flawless.
So he dispatched three full jōnin-ranked Root operatives.
Even in a great shinobi village like Konohagakure,
true jōnin were scarce and extremely valuable.
That Danzo was willing to deploy three of them for a single covert mission

The moment the techniques were released,
the synergy became obvious:
the massive blast of wind would magnify the flames a dozenfold,
creating a roaring inferno capable of swallowing a building whole.
This was high-level Root combined ninjutsu,
designed to overwhelm before the target could even react.
After all they were operating dangerously close to the Uchiha clan district.
Any prolonged battle would risk being detected by Uchiha sensors,
or worse, provoke intervention from their elite police force.
Therefore
They had to finish the job instantly.
Before the Uchiha noticed a thing.
Taking advantage of the wind, the fire quickly swelled into a monstrous blaze, sweeping toward Gabriel and Zabuza Momochi like a living inferno…
Gabriel was just about to summon his puppet into battle

The two Root operatives were stunned by the towering wall of water.

They had seriously underestimated him.
But Root operatives, trained from childhood in emotion suppression,
shook off their shock almost immediately and hardened their expressions.
They shifted their stances, ready for the next exchange.
Meanwhile
Kuishan and the impostor "Wang Tu" clashed fiercely.
Now that his cover was blown, the fake "Wang Tu" dropped the pretense of using Earth Release techniques he wasn't adept at, and instead unleashed the ninjutsu he actually specialized in.
Yet even then he couldn't gain the slightest advantage.
Kuishan fought like an iron fortress from Iwagakure,
each movement solid, precise, and devoid of openings.
His defense was like a living shield carved from stone.
Finally, Kuishan caught an opening and drove his fist deep into the impostor's abdomen!
The impostor's body folded, saliva and bile spraying from his mouth.
Kuishan seized him by the throat, lifting him off the ground with one hand,
his voice low and trembling with rage:
"Say it.
Where is my sister?!"
The Root operative glared back with cold contempt and bit down, severing his own tongue in a single motion.
Kuishan tried to stop him, but it was too late.
At the same time
Zabuza finished his battle.
The two Root operatives he defeated also bit through their tongues, choosing suicide over capture.
A clean, ruthless Root protocol.
"Damn!!"
All three had taken their secrets to the grave.
Every clue… gone.
Gabriel, who had silently watched the scene unfold, finally stood up.
He glanced at the furious Kuishan and said calmly:
"If you want this resolved, there's only one person who can help."
"…That little brat."

inside the Uchiha clan compound
"So," Qianye said,
resting his chin lightly on his fist,
"you three sneaked out tonight without my permission, didn't you?"
"And you also killed three intruders not long ago?"
He looked up at them

sent chills down the spines of all three men.
