Chapter 39 - Possibilities and Realities

Chapter 39

Back at Renji's Home, the air inside the house was calmer compared to the chaos happening outside in the world, and yet inside the house, there was a feeling of eerie stillness.

A silence heavy with truths that were about to be revealed.

Sakura stood near the table at the center of the room, her arms was folded lightly across her chest. Her expression was calm, but her eyes held the weight of knowledge that ordinary people should never have to carry...

Dracan stood a few steps away from her, his arms crossed tightly, his head lowered slightly as though deep in thought. His posture was firm, but even he seemed troubled.

Elyra stood quietly near the wall, her long hair falling softly behind her shoulders. She hadn't spoken for some time now, but her gaze moved carefully between the others in the room, watching their reactions.

Lily sat on the couch nearby, her hands resting nervously in her lap. Every now and then she glanced toward Renji as if hoping he would explain everything in a way that would make it all less terrifying since she heard the name "the supreme diety "

Takeda and Elena stood side by side across the room.

Both of them were still trying to process everything they had already heard.

But Elena finally broke the silence.

She frowned slightly, her voice was a little hesitant an yet it was filled with confusion.

"But wait renji I don't really understand. What do you mean the Supreme Deity? What even is a supreme deity? I don't understand... All this is a little new to me."

Her question lingered in the room.

For a moment, nobody spoke.

Then....

Sigh!

Renji exhaled slowly.

He stood at the center of the room, his presence calm and tense at the same time.

His gaze moved across everyone present before he finally spoke.

"…it's not a supreme deity."

He paused slightly.

"It is the Supreme Deity."

The way he said those words made the room feel even heavier.

He continued calmly.

"My mother told me about him he.. he isn't just any powerful being… he's the decider of all existence."

Takeda frowned.

Renji continued.

"He alone stands above the gods… above concepts… and above all entire frameworks that define existence as we know."

The words slowly settled in the room like falling stones.

" I know it's a lot to process but everything you see in this world…" Renji said quietly.

"…it's his doing."

Takeda suddenly stepped forward, disbelief clearly written across his face.

"But how is that possible?" he said.

He pointed toward Dracan.

"He told me..." Takeda said while staring directly at him. "He told us, remember?"

Renji closed his eyes for a moment.

Then he sighed again.

"I know, Takeda-sensei."

But Takeda shook his head, clearly remembering something.

"No… no. I remember, Renji."

His voice grew firmer.

"He said that Arin and the other twelve gods are the creators of this universe."

He looked directly at Renji.

"With Arin being the greatest of all the gods."

The confusion in his voice deepened.

"Now you're saying she isn't?"

He paused.

"Just how many gods are there?"

But before Renji could answer.

Sakura cut in.

"More than you can count... There's alot more out there

Her response came instantly.

Elena blinked.

"Wait…"

Her voice trembled slightly.

"There's more?"

Elyra finally stepped forward a little.

Her voice was calm, but there was seriousness behind it.

"Yes… there's more."

She looked toward the window briefly,

" Renji here killed six of the 12 gods of this universe at his peak but you need to understand that it's alot deeper, look if you try to understand how big our whole world truly is…"

She paused.

"…it could literally make you go insane."

Takeda frowned.

Elyra continued.

"And that is exactly why going into the Chronoverse is a bad idea."

The name itself still seemed unfamiliar to Takeda and Elena even after hearing it before

Elena tilted her head slightly.

"The Chronoverse huh?"

Elyra nodded.

"Yes the chronoverse."

She spoke slowly so they could understand.

" Look apart from defying the law.… it contains all knowledge and memories of all existence."

Takeda's expression stiffened.

"All existence?"

Elyra nodded again.

"Yes."

She continued.

"It contains every memory… every event… every moment that has ever occurred."

Her voice grew quieter.

"Going back since the beginning of time."

The room became silent again.

Even Takeda seemed stunned.

Then Lily suddenly spoke up.

" She's right but I don't really know anything about this Chronoverse…"

Everyone looked toward her.

"But Rajah also tells me it's a bad idea for a human to go there."

Elena turned toward her.

"Rajah told you that?"

Lily nodded slowly.

"She said too much knowledge can make you go insane...

Lily hesitated for a moment before continuing.

" She said no human should have that much knowledge because it contains infinity of memories and knowledge…"

"…They are almost like threads of fate flowing into your head at the same time and if they can comprehend it, then they can become humans who understand everything…

They will also become people who has witnessed everything and carry the weight of infinite knowledge…"

Takeda slowly crossed his arms.

Lily continued.

"But it comes with a cost it brings corruption to your mind."

Her eyes lowered slightly.

"People who have too much knowledge of everything… of all existence…"

She swallowed nervously.

"…will go insane."

Silence filled the room again.

"And they will fall into darkness," Lily finished softly.

In doing so, they might try to spread that knowledge and more and more humans will become corrupted

This could literally doom all of humanity

Sakura let out a slow breath.

She then turned her gaze toward Renji.

" I get it, alright I get it ... and I'm sorry if I defied your decision I swore to serve you since the moment we met each other and that was almost two thousand years ago... I swore I will stand and follow you to the ends of time"....

Her tone softened slightly.

"But sometimes hiding the truth is what brings peace and order."

She then turned toward Takeda and Elena.

Her expression became more serious.

"I get it."

"You want to save the world."

Takeda remained silent.

"But you know that the Supreme Deity isn't just any god," Sakura continued.

She gestured toward the ceiling as if pointing beyond existence itself.

"He is the creator of everything."

Her gaze sharpened.

"All of existence as you know it."

Sigh!

She closed her eyes briefly before continuing starring directly at both takeda and elena.

"I told you about this universe."

She opened her eyes again.

"But what if I tell you that there are eleven others like Arin?"

Elena blinked.

"With almost similar and yet not almost similar creation…"

Sakura continued.

"…with each of their creation is higher than the next basically each of them governs a higher layer of creation than the last."

Takeda whispered.

"Higher layers…"

"Wait…"

He stepped forward.

"More like her?"

His voice became tense.

"With that kind of power…?"

Before Sakura could answer...

Dracan finally spoke.

"That's why you need to understand something."

His deep voice filled the room.

"The Supreme Deity isn't a being that can be crossed."

Everyone turned toward him.

He slowly raised his head.

His gaze was cold and serious.

"These eleven other creators…"

He paused.

"…including Arin…"

"…are just an extension of his consciousness given form."

Elena blinked repeatedly as if trying to process those words.

"They are the twelve true gods."

Takeda whispered quietly.

"Twelve…"

Dracan nodded.

"Yes."

He continued.

"The gods of creation in this universe were created by Arin herself."

Elena frowned again.

"Wait…"

She raised her hand slightly.

"If Arin created the gods of this universe…"

She hesitated.

"…then what exactly did the Supreme Deity do if he can't be crossed?"

Dracan answered calmly.

"No one can understand what he really wants sometimes he wants choas sometimes he wants order

But after Arin created the lesser gods, each god was given a blessing by the Supreme Deity."

He continued.

"And that blessing gave them power over certain concepts."

Takeda muttered quietly.

"Concepts…"

Elena suddenly asked another question.

"But why?"

Everyone looked toward her.

"Why did she need to create more gods?"

Sakura answered this time.

"Because she didn't want to watch over all the timelines and other realities alone."

The moment those words left her mouth.....

Elena froze.

"…wait."

Her eyes widened slowly.

"Other realities?"

She stared at Sakura.

"Are you actually saying…?"

Sakura nodded.

"Yes."

Her voice remained calm.

"All of what I just said about the universe…"

She paused slightly.

"…it's not just a universe."

Takeda slowly spoke the words.

"…then what is it?"

Sakura answered.

"The parallel realities aren't just worlds of another time."

She looked directly at them.

"These are infinite parallel universes of ourselves."

Elena stared in shock.

"Infinite…?"

Sakura nodded.

"Yes."

She explained further.

"Meaning we're in one of infinite parallel realities."

Takeda looked down at the floor, thinking deeply.

Sakura continued.

"Meaning in another world you don't exists as an hunter

Because this is the only reality where magic was given birth to

She glanced toward Renji briefly.

"In another reality…"

Renji doesn't even exists because again he's not just any human

both he and Azerin are direct children of Arin

So they only exists here

But that can't be the same for you me or any other humans or other beings like dragons and monsters

Her voice softened.

"In another reality entirely you both can be married, it's a possibility, this aren't just realities or an upside down it's contains infinite possiblities of ourselves

She paused again.

"This is…"

Takeda slowly finished the sentence.

"…a multiverse."
