The sun began to rise. The sun was already shining on them. The war entered its peak phase. The angels began to be summoned through the tear in space created by Lucy's skill, slowly… one by one the angels emerged. Tsujin had begun to be controlled again by Shakan. Lucy, who had just been freed from that control, was still not conscious—not unconscious like fainting. Rather, unconscious in mind. Her mind was filled with emotions because of the memories that stabbed her. The angels that were summoned seemed to reach hundreds. There, most people were very shocked by it. Waker was shocked and confused, Agrasa shocked and amazed, the Ogre soldiers impressed, and Shakan shocked and panicked. Shakan did not expect that to happen, but he still tried by controlling the Tsujin through the Exclusive Skill: Contract. That skill allowed Shakan to give a Contract in the form of power increase, but the person who received that contract could be controlled by Shakan as he pleased.
The war was already uncontrollable, the Tsujin began rampaging and attacking, but they could hardly hurt the angels. Because of that, Shakan was forced to step in. Waker and Agrasa could not just stay still, they tried to fight Shakan so the angels could focus on fighting the Tsujin. The Ogre troops who saw their Leader advancing became heated and joined in fighting the Tsujin.
"Charge!!!!" They shouted in the Hornic language.
Agrasa, seeing that, smiled.
The situation had begun to balance out.
Agrasa and Waker vs Shakan.
The angels and Ogres vs Tsujin.
They fought without saying a single word, they were very focused. But that stopped when Kaine returned to the battlefield. He walked calmly. Shakan was shocked to see that.
"How can you be here… Where are my two subordinates." Asked Shakan in a tired and confused tone.
Coldly, Kaine opened his mouth.
"If you want to know, just call them directly." He answered.
Shakan began panicking and couldn't say a thing.
On the other side, Lucy began to wake up. But as she awoke… the angels began disappearing. It seemed Lucy couldn't control that power while in a conscious state. But this Lucy was different. She was not the usual stubborn Lucy, but a quiet Lucy. Without saying a single word, in an instant Lucy appeared behind Shakan and kicked him. Shakan's body was thrown. Shakan began panicking because Lucy had awakened. However, he was also a bit relieved because the angels had begun to disappear. The situation remained bad for Shakan. Many Tsujin had fallen because of the angels. He also didn't see any openings from Lucy's group; in Shakan's prediction, he would lose if he recklessly stepped forward to control them. So he began distancing himself from them. But it seemed pointless. Lucy became even faster than before. Lucy began to understand the essence of her power, which was light. The quiet Lucy remembered a sentence from a book she had read.
"The speed of light is inversely proportional to time, which means when someone is at the speed of light, that person will see time slow down more and more, making time increasingly irrelevant because of it." That was the quote written in the book she read—the book's name was "Physics".
Shakan tried to attack Lucy, but all those attacks were useless, none of them hit Lucy.
"Slow," she muttered.
That battle couldn't be seen at all by the Ogre soldiers. Even Agrasa couldn't imagine how they were exchanging blows. Waker was not too surprised, he was getting used to that speed, as was Kaine. Shakan couldn't hurt or even attack Lucy. He looked angry and activated Ultimate Skill: Emotional Pressure—making his opponent experience emotional pressure, and the person hit by this Skill could not control their emotions. To activate this skill he didn't need to touch the opponent, the requirement to activate it could simply be by staring at the opponent.
Out of options, Shakan activated that Skill hoping he could escape while Lucy experienced the pressure. He stared at Lucy and immediately activated the Skill; the Skill succeeded. Lucy held her head and screamed. All the dark memories struck her, triggering her anger. Memories about her older brother… Because of that she muttered,
"Where… where are you brother…" her voice faint.
Shakan, witnessing that, wanted to escape. But on the other side Kaine realized what Shakan had done and immediately activated Unique Skill: Mirror—this skill created a room layered with light but reflective like a mirror. A person inside that room could not escape as long as Kaine hadn't released it, or until he ran out of stamina, or died/fainted.
Shakan's plan was completely ruined because of Kaine's Skill; he canceled all plans regarding the Tsujin and began splitting space to escape to his original dimension, the demon dimension. But when he split the space using Ancestral skill: Dimension Slash, the space remained intact, refusing to tear. When he looked back, it turned out the reason his Skill did not activate was because Lucy's emotional pressure formed bright light particles in that room. In that room there were only 2 people, Lucy and Shakan. The room was a cube of whitish light belonging to Kaine; the cube wasn't big and did not touch the ground.
Shakan panicked but could do nothing. He couldn't deactivate his Ultimate skill and also couldn't approach Lucy because of the immense light pressure. Lucy screamed in anger. Waker, witnessing from outside the cube, could only be astonished and silent while remembering his conversation with Lucy two months ago.
On Os'e island, at night with moonlight shining on them and the added warmth of a campfire after training. Waker opened his mouth first to ask something to Lucy.
"So, why do you travel to random islands… even though before you didn't have any power at all??" Waker asked.
Lucy only pouted hearing that; while staring at the sky, she opened her mouth.
"I'm just looking for my older brother." She answered.
"Older brother??" Waker muttered.
"I have an older brother, he got permission to work off the island but never sent any news afterward, so I'm searching for him." Lucy explained.
"Brother huh… sounds nice." Waker pouted.
Back to the present, Waker could only mutter,
"How good is your brother that you're like this….. Lucy."
Kaine only stayed silent at that mutter, he was not surprised at what Lucy was about to do, as if he had seen something similar before.
Lucy's raging pressure began to gather, Shakan could only freeze. A few moments later, a White Feather similar to the one on Os'e emerged from her clothes; the feather came from Lucy's shoulder. When the feather touched the bottom-most area of the Mirror cube, the surrounding area suddenly exploded.
Shakan, experiencing that explosion, only screamed,
"Save me, Lord Lapl—" before the scream finished, he was destroyed by the explosion. The explosion was extremely powerful, even Kaine's mirror cube cracked, even though the mirror cube he created was stronger than the cube created from God's fury. When the explosion ended, the room contained only Lucy; Shakan had vanished because of the blast. Kaine dispelled his Mirror skill, Lucy, exhausted from the rage, fell from the sky and was caught by Waker, who had been waiting below.
"Get some rest… idiot." He muttered.
Because of Shakan's disappearance, the Tsujin were freed from control and their bodies returned to normal. Since the control was over, they all fainted on the spot. Agrasa, witnessing that, was a bit touched and shouted,
"The war is over!!!!"
The Ogre soldiers who heard that also shouted in emotion!! The war of the two races had finally ended.
The unconscious Lucy was brought to the palace. Garaka was still unconscious because of the earlier attack from the two demons. The Tsujin were also brought into the kingdom. They were rested in one room except Garaka, who was rested in his own room. Waker and Kaine rested, but before that, they wanted to soak in hot water first, but Waker alone—they took turns. Initially Waker was confused and asked,
"Even though we're both men, why are you that scared??" Waker suspected.
Kaine only replied, "Just go first, I'll go later, after you." Kaine answered.
Waker didn't care and eventually went along with it.
Some time later, Lucy finally woke up. She had slept for a full day; she awoke the next morning. Meanwhile, Garaka only fainted for a few hours, meaning Garaka woke up earlier than Lucy.
The next day, when she awoke, the Palace prepared a lot of food; Lucy and her companions began feasting before entering a somewhat heavy topic.
The heavy topic came after the feast, when Lucy spoke privately with Garaka. Specifically, Lucy who opened the topic, and Garaka also asked to speak one-on-one with Lucy.
"So, what will be the fate of the Tsujin??" Lucy asked first.
"Their fate… is fine… first I want to apologize for the behavior of my ancestors toward their race," Garaka answered.
"I want to ask you all for a favor." Garaka continued with a more serious tone.
"What is it?" Lucy was confused in a flat tone.
"I want you to bring Agrasa to journey." He answered.
Lucy was confused by the request.
"Why??" Lucy replied full of confusion.
"He is still haunted by his past," he answered, and after that Garaka told the story of the tragedy experienced by Agrasa and his family.
"That past haunts him deeply, but when he met you all, he looked happier than before." Garaka answered.
"If that's the case… I guess that's fine, he's also very useful." Lucy answered.
"Thank you." Garaka replied with relief.
On the other side, Kaine and Agrasa were relaxing after the feast.
"How can you speak Humanic fluently after learning only for one night??" Kaine was confused.
Agrasa smiled.
"Maybe… because I learned from the right person," he answered.
"So, why are you traveling all the way here??" Agrasa asked, opening a new topic.
"Hmm… I can't explain that right now." Kaine answered with a slightly panicked tone.
"If you can't answer, just stay quiet.
I respect your privacy." Agrasa answered clearly.
Kaine only stayed silent after that; silence seemed to fill the air.
On the other side, Waker, who had just finished the feast, was sleeping in a room.
Garaka also discussed the issue with most of the Tsujin. The result of the discussion had been determined. The Tsujin regained their freedom and became residents of Vitel island, but as compensation for the damage they had caused, they had to help the citizens repair the damage in the city.
The next day, Garaka kept his promise and gave many gold coins to Kaine. They also received enough food supplies before they departed. Garaka called Agrasa and Lucy to inform Agrasa about his conversation with Lucy yesterday.
"Agrasa!" Garaka said firmly.
"What is it, Your Majesty?" Agrasa asked in confusion.
"Yesterday I discussed with Lucy, and the decision has been made: you will travel with her." Garaka answered.
"B-but—" Before Agrasa could respond, Garaka cut him off firmly.
"You need to journey to overcome that dark past, I don't need someone who has a dark past!!" Garaka shouted, but at the end his lies were obvious.
Agrasa only hissed softly and eventually agreed to the order. As they departed, Lucy asked Garaka,
"King, have you ever seen a Man with white hair and black eyes like mine??" Lucy asked.
"Hmmm, it seems not. Why?" Garaka answered.
"That's my older brother, he is the reason I am adventuring, to find him." Lucy said firmly.
"That's your reason? But sorry, I've never seen such a man before." Garaka answered.
Lucy was a bit disappointed but parted with him on good terms.
Agrasa, hearing that, only stayed silent, not wanting to bring up the conversation.
When they reached the ship, Waker was shocked why Agrasa could join them, Kaine only stayed silent as if he already knew.
"You… You're coming with us??!!" Waker was shocked.
"Yes." Agrasa answered coldly as if disappointed in Garaka's actions.
Lucy shifted the topic by asking,
"Kaine, how much savings do we have?" Lucy asked.
"About 507 gold coins and enough food supplies for 3 weeks." He answered.
Waker suddenly interrupted.
"So… where are we going now?" Waker asked full of confusion.
Kaine sighed as if he couldn't bear going there.
"Maybe Drasel Island.." he answered.
"What island is that??" Waker asked, confused.
"The island of the elf race." Lucy added.
"Where did you learn that??" Waker was shocked.
"I once read a book about that island." Lucy answered calmly.
"Feels like you're the dumbest here." Kaine replied, mocking Waker.
Waker looked angry, but his anger was held back because of someone's mutter. The mutter came from Agrasa.
"Elf island huh…" he muttered.
"It seems our destination is clear!!" Lucy answered.
Their ship sailed swiftly toward the island of the elves; they were grateful to have an Agrasa on their ship who could understand the concept of the vessel in only 2 days. And they could relax while heading toward that island.
To be continued
