Chapter 195 - Chapter 195: The Man Who Controls the Arrogant Tony

"pal, did you forget something?" Tony, who was having his clothes adjusted by Pepper, loudly shouted at Zhou Yi, who was sitting to the side, raising his arm in a cast. "Are you sure your treatment was effective?"

"Of course, you're still alive. That's the biggest effect!" Zhou Yi said, raising an eyebrow, clearly having reached his limit with Tony's antics.

"No, no, no, it shouldn't be like this!" Tony didn't agree with this statement. He stood up, walked over to Zhou Yi, and said self-righteously. "pal, you should make me look a little more presentable, not like this sickly mess. At the very least, you should ensure all my limbs and senses are intact."

"Then should I also take care of your recently Acquired wrinkles, and make your complexion a little more rosy?"

"If it has that function, that would be even better. You have it, right?" Tony shamelessly said to Zhou Yi, which made Zhou Yi realize that a person's cheekiness could actually be this thick. It was almost unbelievable.

"Sorry to disappoint you. You're definitely overthinking it!" Pushing away Tony's fawning face, Zhou Yi stood up, deciding it was best to stay away from this shameless fellow at this moment.

But Tony still pestered him.

"Alright, alright! Forget about today, then how about tomorrow? I really hate that newly hired private Doctor anyway, getting rid of him might be the best option."

"No time, tomorrow I have to go to my daughter's parent-teacher conference."

"Then the day after tomorrow! How about the day after tomorrow? I can cancel my boxing training with Hogan."

"Still no time. I promised to take the Children to the amusement park!"

"Then what about the weekend! You must have time on the weekend, right!" Tony still seemed a bit unwilling to give up; he was a guy who habitually took an inch and then a mile.

"Tony, don't think so much. It's impossible." Zhou Yi had already pushed open the door and was about to leave.

"Hey, pal. You can go, but at least fix this arm of mine before you leave!" Seeing Zhou Yi really about to leave, Tony couldn't hold back. He desperately shook his arm and shouted at Zhou Yi.

"Next week, if I have time!" Zhou Yi waved his hand and walked away without looking back. At this moment, Pepper walked up. She tugged on Tony's tie and said with a smile.

"How is it? Young Master Genius, have you found that everything in this World no longer goes the way you want it to?"

"Damn it, I never thought my best friend would be so cold to me. Are my demands too much?" Tony asked his Young Miss Secretary with a strange expression, and of course, he received an affirmative answer.

"Very much so, Tony! You should thank him for saving your life, instead of constantly urging him to give you a facelift. Alright! If he agrees, remember to call me too!" The Young Miss Secretary smiled slyly, and incidentally added herself to Tony's ranks.

"Since you want it so much, why don't you go say it yourself. Taking me along isn't bad either." Tony wrapped his good arm around Pepper's waist and said with a raised eyebrow.

"Because you brought it up first, of course you have to say it." Pointing at Tony's chest with her finger, Pepper's face broke into a brilliant smile. From a certain perspective, their relationship had taken a step further, and this was very important to Pepper.

"Alright, alright! You're the boss. If that guy Yi really agrees, I'll remember to bring you along."

"But before that, you have to deal with this press conference first." Pepper pointed to Coulson standing outside the door, then turned to Tony and said. "Someone's here for you. Looks like you'll have to work hard."

Coulson smiled when he heard this, walked in, and handed a piece of paper to Tony.

"What is this?" Tony asked without even looking.

"Your alibi. You were on the yacht at the time. The port authority will confirm you were docked in Avalon Port all night, and there are statements from fifty guests as well." Agent Coulson explained as thoroughly as possible. Tony was notoriously unreliable, so he had to add an extra layer of security.

"Why don't you just say it was just Pepper and me on the yacht, that would make people believe it a little more!" Flipping through the proof in his hand, Tony didn't forget to tease his Young Miss Secretary. After explaining everything, Tony began to fully display his playboy nature, especially towards Pepper.

"Just do as we say, and there won't be any problems."

"Why isn't Obadiah mentioned?"

"We handled it. He went on vacation.

You know, small plane accident rates have always been high! It's actually quite good that he just disappeared like that." Agent Coulson silently demonstrated how wealthy individuals could be erased from the World without leaving a single trace under their manipulation, which was enough to prove how astonishing their potential power was.

Tony, of course, understood what Agent Coulson was trying to convey. He had cooperated with S.H.I.E.L.D. before, but that was only on the surface. Now, he saw clearly the potential power of this organization. He had to admit, it surprised him greatly. But a man like him would never casually show what he was thinking on his face.

He began to feign indifference and asked.

"Then what's with the rumors about Iron Man? That's me, how am I supposed to fool these guys? They're not easy to trick!"

Agent Coulson smiled subtly and responded.

"This isn't my first time doing something like this, Mr. Stark. You just need to follow the official statement, and everything will be fine!"

"Alright, alright! This time I'll listen to the Government!" Tony put on his jacket with Pepper's help. "Rhodey must be impatient, dealing with those reporters alone isn't easy. I'll be back, Darling!"

Kissing Pepper's cheek, Tony strode out. He cherished his time alone with Pepper, but if there was a guy with a Government identity in between, he could only choose to keep his distance.

"Mr. Stark doesn't seem to care for me much!" Agent Coulson said with a frown, watching Tony's retreating back.

"He's always like this, you'll get used to it!" Pepper laughed, beginning to play her role as a supportive wife. "I haven't thanked you for what happened earlier, thank you very much for your help, Agent Coulson!"

"It's my duty, and we'll be working together again, Miss Potts." Agent Coulson smiled. He had already received Pepper's goodwill, which meant his objective had been achieved.

"Alright. I have to go! Don't forget, next time we meet, we've changed our name to S.H.I.E.L.D.!"

"Of course I won't forget, Agent Coulson of S.H.I.E.L.D.!" Pepper said, escorting Agent Coulson out, and just then, Tony's voice came from the screen. Hearing this voice, both of them froze.

"I am Iron Man!" It turned out that Tony was a guy who never played by the rules.

Tony's impulsiveness once again caused countless commotions. A Super wealthy man suddenly becoming a Superhero was inherently a highly controversial matter. Many people began discussing Tony's identity as Iron Man, but some were indifferent, like this couple in Philadelphia.

They carried simple luggage, moving through the dense crowd, but carefully avoiding the patrolling Police and Government employees. If you looked closely, you would notice that they didn't even dare to expose their faces to any camera devices. This was the behavior of fugitives.

And in a sense, they were indeed fugitives, the kind wanted by the U.S. Military.

After finally managing to squeeze out of the dense crowd, the man let out a long sigh of relief. The man wearing a baseball cap began to do deep breathing exercises. From the heart rate monitor watch he was wearing, it was clear his heart was beating very fast.

"Relax, Bruce! We're out, we're safe now! Breathe, deep breaths." The woman standing next to the man in the baseball cap said nervously, as if for her, it would be a very terrifying thing if he became tense.

Fortunately, as he continued his breathing exercises, his heart rate gradually slowed down. At this moment, the man wearing the baseball cap finally showed a weak smile and said to his female companion.

"Next time, I'm definitely not going to squeeze in with so many people again, it's enough to drive a person crazy!"

"I won't let you squeeze in with so many people either, because I'll go crazy before you do!" The female companion complained, then laughed. "We're almost out of Philadelphia, have you figured out where to go next?"

The man in the baseball cap hadn't answered yet when a hand suddenly rested on his shoulder.

"Bruce, is that you?"

At this moment, the man's heart rate suddenly spiked, and the piercing beeping sound immediately made his female companion's face lose all color. He stiffly turned his head and looked at the person who was patting his shoulder. After a moment, he let out a breath as if exhausted,

"It's you, Jennifer. What are you doing here?"

Standing behind him was a beautiful short-haired woman, dressed in a well-fitting women's suit, looking capable and shrewd, full of the demeanor of a professional woman.

"I came to Philadelphia to handle a case, and I just happened to see you at the station. Really, why are you running so fast like a fugitive? If I hadn't recognized you, I wouldn't have believed I'd see you in this place."

The seemingly shrewd and capable woman said with a smile, as if seeing this man was a very happy thing.

"Bruce, who is this?" Seeing her companion inexplicably calm his heart rate and act very familiar with the woman who greeted him, his female companion couldn't help but ask. It was curiosity, but of course, more of it was a woman's jealousy.

"Oh. Right, this is Jennifer. My cousin! Jennifer, this is Betty, my girlfriend!" The man named Bruce, wearing a baseball cap, began to introduce the two women, and after hearing his introduction, the short-haired woman in the suit readily extended her hand.

"I'm Jennifer Susan Walters. It's nice to meet you. I've heard Bruce talk about you, he described you very well!"

"I'm Betty, Betty Ross. It's nice to meet you too!" Betty, as the girlfriend, naturally acted gracefully after the crisis was averted.

"Where are you two going? Are you on your honeymoon or something?" Jennifer teased. She had always had a good relationship with her cousin since childhood, and she really hoped to see him get married.

"We're going to New York, and you?" Bruce replied selectively. He was happy to see his sister, but that didn't mean he wanted to drag her into his troubles.

"I still have to rush to Washington. Do you have a car? Do you want me to give you a ride?"

"No, we can walk ourselves!" Bruce had just expressed his refusal when Jennifer suddenly stiffened and tilted forward.

Bruce quickly reached out to support her, but as soon as he touched her body, a warm and wet sensation spread from his palm. He looked at his hand and found it covered in blood.

Blood seeped through Jennifer's White shirt little by little, meaning she had been attacked. And watching all this, a terrifying green light appeared in Bruce's eyes.
