Chapter 34 - The Ruins of Origin — Secrets of the Past Life

The Immortal Sanctuary trembled.

Ancient winds, older than nations and sects, washed across the colossal chamber as Xiao Wang stepped beyond the shimmering gateway. His boots sank lightly into dust that had not been disturbed for a thousand lifetimes.

The air hummed with forgotten laws.

Strands of divine mist curled like serpents through the air, guiding him deeper into a corridor of obsidian stone, etched with runes whose glow pulsed like half-awakened hearts.

Behind him…

A soft presence hid in the shadows.

The silver-haired girl trailed at a distance, her steps silent as moonlight. Her aura suppressed to nothingness, she watched him with unreadable blue eyes—

Yet beneath that calmness, her heartbeat quickened whenever he looked her way.

She whispered softly to herself:

"…He truly does not belong to this world."

But Xiao Wang's attention was fixed ahead.

There

beyond a cavernous archway

an ancient monument towered like a sleeping titan:

The Ruins of Origin.

It pulsed with colors no mortal language could name.

The Devouring Sword vibrated on his back, a thrill in its voice:

"Awakened remnants… echoes of what you once were… how nostalgic."

Xiao Wang's eyebrow twitched.

"You're in a dramatic mood today."

The sword spirit snickered.

"Boy, if you remembered even one percent of your past, you'd be kneeling right now."

"Or laughing," his other personality added cheerfully. "Or flirting. Depends."

Xiao Wang groaned. "Why are you here again?"

"Because your life gets fun whenever destruction is involved."

The sword coughed politely.

"I agree."

He shook his head and stepped closer.

Suddenly—

BOOM.

A wave of crushing pressure exploded outward from the monolith.

The ground split.

The sky above the ruin twisted into a spiral of devouring darkness.

From within the swirling void, a monstrous figure slowly materialized—

A guardian.

No—

A warden of the past.

Its body was carved from condensed starfire, its eyes blazing with ancient hatred, and its voice thundered with cosmic weight:

"Intruder… state your origin."

Xiao Wang's aura surged on instinct.

The Warden pointed a burning finger at him.

"I sense three contradictory essences inside you.

Heaven's Emperor… The Origin Hunger… The First Blade…Your existence is forbidden."

Xiao Wang blinked.

"…What?"

His mischievous personality snorted.

"Ha! Even the ancient monsters are confused about who we are."

The silver-haired girl hid deeper in the shadows at the revelation, her hand trembling over her lips.

The Warden roared:

"Prepare to be erased."

And lunged.

Mid-Chapter Battle — The Guardian of Ruins

The creature moved like collapsing galaxies.

One punch shattered the space around Xiao Wang, creating a vacuum that devoured air, light, and sound.

But Xiao Wang—

He didn't retreat.

His aura exploded outward, black-gold flames spiraling like celestial storms.

[Foundation Building Realm → Late Peak Stabilized]

The Warden's arm collided with Xiao Wang's palm.

BOOOOM!!!

Shockwaves tore across the ruins.

Mountains cracked.

Laws bent.

The silver-haired girl shielded her face from the blast, eyes widening in awe and fear.

The Warden hissed:

"Your mortal body cannot contain such contradictions—yet you still stand."

Xiao Wang smirked.

"Standing is the one thing I'm good at."

His other personality chimed in:

"Second thing is being hot. Third is causing trouble."

"Fourth," Xiao Wang corrected, "is killing things that annoy me."

"Inspiring," the sword spirit sighed.

The Warden shot forward again, its arms shifting into burning blades.

Xiao Wang responded in kind.

He drew the Devouring Sword.

A cyclone of black-gold runes erupted from the blade, swallowing light, energy, and even the Warden's fire.

SHIIING—

One slash.

Space cracked like glass.

The Warden stumbled back, a deep wound in its chest bleeding stardust.

"Impossible.

That sword… it contains your true nature."

Xiao Wang stepped forward, voice calm:

"My nature? Then tell me. Who am I?"

The Warden trembled.

Then lunged in desperate fury.

Xiao Wang met it head-on—

BOOOOOOM!!!

A massive explosion of laws shook the entire Sanctuary.

When the dust cleared—

The Warden lay shattered, its starfire dimming.

But before dying, its eyes locked onto Xiao Wang and whispered:

"Forgive me… Emperor… Devourer… Ancestor…

You were one… before Heaven tore you apart."

Then its body collapsed into motes of light.

Past-Life Revelation Fragment One — The Celestial Emperor

Suddenly—

FLASH.

Xiao Wang's vision warped.

He saw a throne of galaxies.

A man sat upon it—arrogant, glorious, crowned in divine flame.

His features were Xiao Wang's.

But older, colder, merciless.

"Bow."

His past self commanded armies of stars.

One gesture moved millions of worlds.

Heaven trembled beneath him.

Past-Life Revelation Fragment Two — The Origin Devourer

FLASH.

A different image.

A monstrous silhouette draped in chaos.

Black holes formed and collapsed in its palms.

Entire realms were eaten in silence.

Its voice was endless night:

"Everything returns to me."

Past-Life Revelation Fragment Three — The First Sword Ancestor

FLASH.

Another form.

Sword in hand.

Hair white as the moon.

Eyes sharper than creation.

Heaven's laws bent beneath his blade.

He stood alone before a thousand divine armies.

"My sword cuts fate itself."

Final Fragment — The Breaking

FLASH.

The three selves fused—

A cosmic catastrophe.

Heaven panicked.

Gods gathered.

A traitor guided the trap.

The girl he loved stabbed his heart.

His sworn brother cut his soul.

The heavens crushed his throne.

And his spirit—

Was shattered into three identities.

One became the Devourer.

One became the Emperor.

One became the Sword.

All scattered across time.

Until—

He reincarnated as Xiao Wang.

Light snapped back.

Xiao Wang dropped to one knee, chest heaving.

The revelation shook every bone in his body.

His mischievous personality whispered:

"…Damn bro. We were THAT powerful?"

The sword spirit's voice was reverent.

"You are the convergence of three forbidden existences.

You were the reason Heaven itself panicked."

The silver-haired girl covered her mouth, tears in her eyes.

She whispered:

"He… was all of them?"

"…It begins."

His other personality clicked his tongue.

"Heh. Heaven is so screwed."

The Awakening of the True Enemy

The ruins shook violently.

A chilling voice echoed through the chamber:

"Oh? So the abomination has awakened."

Xiao Wang's pupils constricted.

A figure stepped out of a rift in space—

A man wearing robes of starlight, eyes filled with divine contempt.

"Greetings, fractured one."

The silver-haired girl gasped.

"That's… impossible. A Heavenly Executioner General!"

The man smiled coldly.

"It took the heavens one hundred thousand years to hunt your past self."

He raised a finger.

"This time—your reincarnation dies here."

The Sanctuary collapsed into spiraling darkness—

To be continued…
