Chapter 4 - Chapter 4

At 9:00 pm the group was at the far side of the city almost close to the boarder of Mexico, they had tracked the boy to one of the hideouts. Their suspect almost left in a body bag , kidnapping him was the best way to get him to talk . They're here that all that matters, Godwin was lead this mission along with other Mexican special operatives,he had to make a few phone calls to make it work they were only four of them and they needed help in order for this OP to be successful .

‎Godwin , looked at the sky, it was beautiful and also haunting at the same time ,Godwin looked down and at Markarov who was beside him

‎"You ready?"

‎"When you are"

‎"Miguel, are your ready"

‎"We're in position"

‎Miguel is the commander of the Mexican special forces, he and his men were assigned to the 141 group,he and his men were willing to help send the cartel into hell

‎"Alright ,Steph, send the drone"

‎"Sending now," Stephanie confirmed.

‎The small quadcopter, a matte-black shape against the darker sky, buzzed silently over the compound's wall. This wasn't just a scout; it was a tool.

‎"Drone in position. Over the main power line," Stephanie's voice was calm in their earpieces. "EMP charged. On your mark."

‎Godwin took one last look at the quiet house. A light was on in a back window. The boy was in there. He keyed his mic, his voice low and final.

‎"Mark."

‎There was no flash, no bang. Just a faint, deep thump that was felt more than heard. Instantly, the lights in the house winked out. The low hum of the neighborhood's electricity died, plunging the entire block into a sudden, profound silence.

‎"Power is down. Comms are down. You have a ten-minute window before backup generators might kick in," Stephanie reported. "You are ghosts."

‎In the new darkness, Godwin looked at Makarov, his face now just a grim silhouette.

‎"You ready?"

‎Makarov hefted his weapon. "When you are."

‎"Alright. Move in."

‎They sprinted towards building towards the front gate two guards were stationed in front of it , their aim steady and precise one for each they were down . Godwin keyed into the coms

‎"David ,we're in position open the gate"

‎Opening now

‎The gates slowly opened Infront of them was David

‎They should hire better help

‎"Its too easy" Markarov chimed in

‎"Yeah, Miguel what's your status "

‎Entering through the back

‎"Copy, we're moving upstairs, send some of your guys to secure the perimeter "

‎"Alright"

‎"The rest of you on me"

‎"David and Markarov nooded and dwand their night vision goggles"

‎"Steph , we're moving into the building "

‎"Alright"

‎With a swift motion of his hand , David and Markarov follow led Godwin into the building.

‎"Clear" Godwin announced through the

‎"Moving up the stairs"

‎"We're right behind you" Miguel announced through the coms

‎"Alright"

‎Both the 141 group and the Mexican special forces moved with utmost precision and speed clearing each room in an attempt to rescue the boy . They were getting paid a lot and to fail was not an option to Godwin at least, but what about the others? what did they think?

‎They were getting paid a lot and to fail was not an option to Godwin at least, but what about the others? What did they think?

‎Godwin formed up at the final door kicked hard against it, his weapon high. David and Makarov flowed in behind him, slicing the pie, clearing the corners.

‎The room was empty.

‎"Clear," Makarov muttered, the word sounding hollow in the barren space.

‎"What the hell?" David breathed, lowering his weapon.

‎Godwin's stomach turned to ice. He keyed his mic. "Miguel, status. Did you find the boy?"

‎"Negative. The building is clear. There is no one here."

‎The mission was a bust. A complete fabrication. They'd been led on a wild goose chase.

‎"Steph," Godwin said, his voice tight.

‎"Bring the car in for pickup"

‎"No problem , on my way"

‎As Godwin finished his sentence the power kick in again was probably from the pickup generator Godwin thought to himself.
