Chapter 38 - Chapter 39 Douglas Gray, the Crazy Young Soldier!

The Dorag Family's request for peace talks was quickly relayed to Kaido by Binjack.

"What do you think, Wald?"

Kaido narrowed his eyes, chuckled playfully, and asked in a flat tone, looking at Wald who was devouring his food.

Wald's eyes gleamed intensely. His mouth full of a large piece of wolf leg meat, he mumbled, "Five hundred million Berries in compensation!"

"Urorororo!"

Kaido threw his head back and laughed, taking a big gulp of sake. The bonfire illuminated his face, its flames flickering: "Too little! These Underworld families have deep foundations; five hundred million Berries is just a drop in the bucket. Make them pay two billion Berries!"

Wald's eyes lit up. Two billion Berries was enough for their two-thousand-man pirate crew to hold twenty feasts!

Of course, this money wasn't just for banquets; it had other uses too.

"Also, Binjack, tell them we want to be the sole arms supplier in the Underworld. They must unconditionally support us in establishing supply points in the Underworld. As for the agent..."

Kaido thought of Hanafuda.

In his previous life, Hanafuda, as a Shichibukai, had secretly collected Zoan Devil Fruits for Kaido.

He was later defeated by Fire Fist Ace and stripped of his Shichibukai authority.

On his way to Wano Country, he was jointly attacked by his former rivals and, due to unhealed injuries, was ultimately defeated and tragically killed.

Reborn, Kaido naturally wouldn't let the tragedy repeat.

"The sole arms supplier?"

Binjack gasped, not expecting Kaido to try and monopolize the Underworld's arms trade.

This would have a huge impact on the Ibis Family's shipping business.

However, there were too many forces capable of manufacturing arms worldwide; just figuring out how to suppress and eliminate other arms forces was a huge challenge.

Binjack voiced his concerns, and Kaido laughed: "Set the conditions high; it's easier to negotiate later, isn't it?"

"Besides, since we're entering the market, why do we need other arms dealers?"

Kaido naturally knew that becoming the sole arms supplier was too harsh a condition.

There were simply too many people in this world willing to take risks, so many that even Kaido couldn't count them all.

What he always wanted to be was the biggest.

Binjack conveyed Kaido's exact words to the Dorag Family.

August naturally smelled the conspiracy and ambition within, but the arms business had always been unrelated to the Dorag Family. It should be Gute's problem.

August agreed to Kaido's demands and @ed Ibis Gute.

Gute's fears had come true. Perhaps he had anticipated it, but upon learning Kaido's conditions, he couldn't help but curse.

"Damn Kaido! How dare you?!"

Gute's fingertips turned white, and his beard trembled.

Umit rolled his eyes and said, "Father, we can agree to Kaido's terms. We can make 'purchasing Kaido's arms' our primary goal. As for whether other arms dealers will supply us, that should be for Kaido and them to resolve."

Gute pondered, then clapped his hands and stroked his beard, smiling: "You're right, Umit, you're quick-witted. But two billion Berries..."

A hint of pain flashed in Gute's eyes. He gritted his teeth: "Forget it, give it to him."

...When Binjack learned of the Dorag Family's reply, he was astonished, hardly believing his ears.

Kaido, however, revealed a profound, meaningful expression.

Binjack recovered and, after some thought, said, "Kaido, actually, the Jiaerzburg Kingdom was also involved in the failure of our transaction."

The Jiaerzburg Kingdom... Kaido's hand, holding the sake bowl, paused. A glint flashed in his eyes, and he smiled coldly: "So that's it... After this meal, we'll make another trip to the Jiaerzburg Kingdom!"

War Kingdom?

Interesting!

Jaltsburg.

Captain Douglas Grey, dressed in a black military uniform, was inspecting the young soldiers in the barracks.

The young soldiers, wearing black uniforms, stood in a row, their posture straight, their eyes sharp. Their faces still held a childish innocence, but there was no trace of fear in their eyes.

They were the kingdom's suicide squad, young soldiers who charged into battle before the main force, collectively known as 'Bullets'.

They had no specific names, only referring to each other by their chest plate numbers.

They were the brave and fearless Gotz Army under the Jiaerzburg Kingdom.

Grey looked at his 'Bullets', a hint of pride flashing in his eyes. It was with these fearless youths that he had seized the initiative in battle after battle.

They raised a large number of orphans, training them in military camps. When 'Bullets' died on the battlefield, they could be immediately supplemented as reserves.

Of course, these orphans were all adopted from enemy armies.

Turning enemy orphans into frontline combatants to attack the enemy country—nothing was more amusing to him than this.

Grey's gaze fell on the number nine youth. The young man had striking blonde hair and eyes like a demon. Ordinary soldiers would instinctively look away when meeting his gaze.

He was not yet nine years old, but his stature was a head taller than his peers.

Interestingly, in this year's war against the enemy country, the youth had killed his betraying comrades, returning alone.

He was covered in blood, a terrifying sight.

Grey had to reassign a large number of new young soldiers from the training camp to fill the 'Bullet' vacancies.

Among the young soldiers at this moment, only Number Nine had a distinctly different demeanor from the other soldiers, wearing a military badge representing honor on his uniform.

"Tomorrow, we will face our sworn enemy, the War Without End Kingdom. Take your equipment and explosives. The Jiaerzburg Kingdom is with you!"

Grey stood at attention, performing a military salute.

The young soldiers saluted in unison, their expressions excited and shouting enthusiastically as if injected with adrenaline: "The glory of the Jiaerzburg Kingdom is with us! We offer our lives for the Kingdom!"

Grey nodded in satisfaction. He had already envisioned that tomorrow, the War Without End Kingdom would witness the terrifying power of these young soldiers, like an army of cannibalistic ants!

His military achievements would gain another glorious chapter!

Just then, a soldier rushed in from outside and whispered a few words in his ear.

The smile on Grey's face vanished. He opened his mouth slightly, his expression uncertain and surprised: "Are you sure what you're saying is true?"

The soldier nodded: "Nearby islands have been destroyed. The King is worried that pirates will come to the Jiaerzburg Kingdom and is currently holding a meeting in the palace, asking you to come immediately for discussion."

Grey's eyes flickered, and his face suddenly turned grim.

"The Ibis Family and the Dorag Family actually messed things up! These idiots!"

Grey gnashed his teeth in anger, his thoughts racing, but he quickly calmed down: "Don't panic yet! As long as the Ibis Family doesn't expose the Kingdom, pirates might not necessarily come to the Jiaerzburg Kingdom to cause trouble!"

"Besides, the Jiaerzburg Kingdom is not to be trifled with. Even if they are great pirates, so what? The Kingdom's military strength is abundant, and under a barrage of firepower, anyone will be beaten into a pulp!"
