Chapter 17 - New sights

I held a bird in my hands, let the dark mana seep into it from the surroundings until I see it shaking vigorously then I slow down the dark mana and wait till it stands up. It's the 7th one I've raised, had to raise it while it's alive to get a good corpse from it.

I've been practicing sight sharing with the birds, what I receive is only a tug at my conscious not anything visual yet. I know where the bird is and it let's me know when it sees something but I can't know what it actually is... So I've been working on this to atleast share it's vision so I can see what it sees.

I told the bird to fly, telepathically, then I focused on it's location, I can feel where it is relative to my body. So I started following it's movements, it went higher up and glided down, going further away from me and the village and closer to me it passed close to my body than landed on the roof of a house in the village.

I sat cross legged and focused, cleared my mind until all I could feel was the bird and it's actions.

Next second a bright light assaulted my eyes like a flashbang, and I was back in my body feeling the food I had this morning trying to leave my body and I fell backward onto my back. I looked around the Grey looking decay filled village, with a tangible dark mana presence... Everything was normal, what happened?!

Got back my bearings, stretched and got into the cross legged position and focused on the bird again. Got the assault of light again but I kept looking this time. The colours they hit me and the purple lines, than the world landed on top of my head... I saw everything all at once around me, like my eyes were out of my head looking around at everything. Felt dizzy, I turned my head, the birds head, and no blur just the world being incredibly still. Everywhere all at once. Looked at my body and saw details I haven't seen before, the muscles, the facial creases, fresh scratches I got from training with Theron. I could see for kilometers into the forest differentiating between different shades of tree bark and new leaves forming. It was unsettling and exciting.

Let me fly, I flapped my wings and lifted my self up into the air and flew. I did this for hours until it got dark, the world seemed bigger and I saw it all through this one bird. I had gained another asset in affirming myself in this world.
