Chapter 55 - Flying Over Kingdoms with Camellia

Night had fallen in the Hell Kingdom, and the long shadows of the towers stretched across the candlelit streets. Saruto was preparing to leave after the banquet, but he stopped when the princess said to him in a quiet but firm voice, "Why don't you stay here tonight, Saruto? It's a long way off, and it will take a while to return to your kingdom."

Saruto smiled and replied, "Well, if that's what you want, Princess, then I'll stay."

The two sat on the palace terrace, where a cool breeze stirred the flickering flames of the candles, and the stars illuminated the clear sky. After a moment of silence, Saruto suggested, "What if we took a walk outside the palace?"

The princess nodded in agreement and smiled curiously. They stepped out into the open courtyards, where the quiet streets were dimly lit, and the air was thick with the tranquility of the night.

Saruto strode confidently forward, then gently took the princess's hand and said, "I want to show you something special."

In a sudden moment, his wings spread out—enormous dragon wings, a deep purple that glowed with the starlight. The princess's face registered surprise, her eyes wide with a mixture of wonder and awe.

Saruto smiled, wiping away the look of surprise from her face. Then, gently, he took her hand, and the wings carried them both above her palace. The wind stirred around them, and from above, the streets and buildings appeared tiny. The sky was filled with twinkling stars that reflected the purple light of his wings.

He drew closer to the princess and said with a smile,

"What if we flew to the other kingdoms now? I want you to see these places from above."

The princess nodded eagerly, smiling joyfully, her excitement palpable. Saruto gently took her hand and said, "Hold on tight."

Suddenly, together, they soared through the sky, flying over palaces, forests, and mountains, passing over all the kingdoms Saruto had visited before. The wind played with their hair and clothes, and the distant sounds of markets and villages across the kingdoms mingled with the wind, while the princess felt an unparalleled freedom.

During the flight, they talked together, their conversation a mixture of wonder and joy:

Camellia: "I never imagined I'd see the world from above like this… It's an amazing feeling!"

Saruto: "I'm glad you love it… Every kingdom has its own charm, its own color and atmosphere."

Camellia: "Sometimes I feel the sky gives you freedom, and when I'm by your side… it gives me a sense of security, Saruto."

Saruto: "I won't let any harm come to you, as long as I'm with you, my princess."

As they soared above the Kingdom of Storms, Saruto noticed the first rays of dawn peeking through the clouds, painting the horizon a brilliant golden hue.

"It's time to bring you back," he said, gazing up at the sky. "The sun is about to rise."

He moved his fingers and placed them on his forehead, and with a swift motion, he used teleportation. Suddenly, they found themselves in the palace courtyard in the Hell Kingdom, the princess astonished by his incredible speed.

"Wow… I didn't know you were so fast!" she smiled.

Then she added, "Before you leave, how about we have breakfast together?"

Saruto gladly agreed, and they sat down to a simple, warm meal together, enjoying one last moment of peace before the day began.

After breakfast, the princess rose and said with a smile, "It's time for you to leave, isn't it?"

Saruto smiled and replied, "Yes… but I'll never forget this visit."

With a gentle farewell, he got into his carriage and used teleportation once more, heading towards his next invitation, to the Star Princess.
