The Narrator:
Liahona… Location = Earth N.E.V. 11… The Knight-Gallery hidden deep beneath the Lothrin Estate in the Palisades District in the city of New Alexandria Sub-Capitol Region of the G.G.R. in the year 1995 A.D. [grim and heavy tone as even settle foot in a truly evil place]...
Monica B. Bathory (Earth N.E.V. #11):
"How are the incoming intel reports coming along, my love?"
The Narrator:
Monica slides in close to Anya and places a loving kiss on her head. Anya sits at the Knight-Computer, going over all the latest resistance reports.
Anya Lothrin (Earth N.E.V. #11):
"Terrible."
Monica B. Bathory (Earth N.E.V. #11):
"They always are." [supportive but playful tone]
Anya Lothrin (Earth N.E.V. #11):
"Yeah, but they've never been this bad. And it just gets worse every day. We lost three more Resistance Cells just last week. And according to these reports, we just lost three more over the past two days." [Grim and heavy bordering on despair tone]
The Narrator:
Anya leans back and runs her hand through her hair in frustration. Monica looks over some of the data herself while Anya groans with stress and exhaustion.
Monica B. Bathory (Earth N.E.V. #11):
"Let me guess. the Nazis' new Wonder Weapon: Übermensch Kommander: Lord Thanatos… doesn't waste any time, does he? My God! So many killed already… it is horrifying,"
Anya Lothrin (Earth N.E.V. #11):
"Yeah, no shit… He's taking us out all across the country, and there is no way of tracking him or telling where he'll strike next. It kills me to say it, but if Buffy doesn't get faster soon, we're all doomed."
The Narrator:
Anya rubs her eyes and offers a deep sigh as she turns to Monica.
Anya Lothrin (Earth N.E.V. #11):
"How was dinner?"
The Narrator:
Anya asks, realising she had been so focused on her work that she forgot to come up and join them.
Monica B. Bathory (Earth N.E.V. #11):
"It was great. But then again, Emma's cooking always is"
The Narrator:
Monica sits down in Anya's lap and wraps her arms around her wife.
Anya Lothrin (Earth N.E.V. #11):
"Speaking of which, how did Buffy do today?"
The Narrator:
Anya takes Monica's hand tenderly in hers.
Monica B. Bathory (Earth N.E.V. #11):
"She did well in her training today. Great, actually."
Anya Lothrin (Earth N.E.V. #11):
"Really?"
Monica B. Bathory (Earth N.E.V. #11):
"Yup! She beat her previous record by four minutes! I know it's not enough yet, but she's doing her best. Our daughter has heart."
The Narrator:
Monica nuzzles her head into Anya's neck. Her wedding ring shimmers in the dull light of the massive Knight-Computer. Anya lovingly kisses her wife before gesturing for her to get up so that she can proceed with her work. Monica rolls her eyes with a sideways smile as she stands back up as requested.
Monica B. Bathory (Earth N.E.V. #11):
"Okay, I get the message! But don't stay up too late, babe. After all, you wouldn't want me and Emma to get lonely, would you?"
The Narrator:
Monica shoots her wife a sultry smirk and a playful wink before turning and making her way up the stairs leading out of the Knight-Gallery. It is about four in the morning when Anya finally finishes going over the latest intel reports. She stands up from her chair and stretches as an exhausted yawn echoes through the Knight-Gallery. She turns to make her way over to the staircase, her mind set on a nice long sleep in a warm bed next to her beautiful wife and their lover, Emma.
Liahona [E.B.A.]:
"ANYA? ANYA? CAN YOU HEAR ME, ANYA?"
The Narrator:
Anya turns to find the Knight-Computer back on and the red holographic face of a woman calling out to her.
Anya Lothrin (Earth N.E.V. #11):
"Who are you?"
Liahona [E.B.A.]:
"My name is Liahona. And you must listen to me, or everyone everywhere is doomed!" [urgent, almost pleading]
Anya Lothrin (Earth N.E.V. #11):
"What do you mean, doomed?"
The Narrator:
Anya steps back towards the computer cautiously.
Liahona [E.B.A.]:
"I am the Emergency Back-Up A.I. of a Meta-Spacial Craft known as the Valkeria, captained by Reina Lordella, leader of the Chrono-Keepers. Our ship crashed on your world in the Black Forest of Germany in 1939. The remains of our ship were recovered by the Nazis of your world. It was from reverse engineering our ship's advanced technology that they obtained the technological might that led them to such a dominant victory against the Allies. Do you understand, Anya?"
The Narrator:
Liahona displays supporting visual data to help explain her story using the Knight-Computer.
Anya Lothrin (Earth N.E.V. #11):
"Yes, I understand. But why are you telling me this now? Why come to me now? The war is over. If things keep going as they are, so will be the Resistance soon enough." [worn and bitter tone]
Liahona [E.B.A.]:
"I'm sorry I couldn't come to you before. But I'm here now, and there is still hope if you're willing to trust me"
The Narrator:
Liahona smiles supportively as Anya walks back over to the computer and sits down.
Anya Lothrin (Earth N.E.V. #11):
"I'm listening."
Liahona [E.B.A.]:
"For now, I will keep it short so that the G.G.R. does not detect my presence. I've downloaded to your computer all the relevant data and simulation results to support what I am about to tell you."
The Narrator:
Anya leans forward and checks the Knight-Computer to confirm the download.
Liahona [E.B.A.]:
"Ever since the G.G.R. discovered the Valkeria back in 1939, they have been trying to repair it. It seems roughly 85% of the ship was heavily damaged in the crash. However, two weeks ago, they finally repaired the ship enough to accidentally activate my program. When I woke up and realised all that has happened since the ship crashed, I saw how the G.G.R. used the knowledge obtained from our ship to change history, so I stealthily infiltrated their digital matrix. Over the next several days, I used their systems to try and find a way to reach the Resistance, to reach you. So far they have not discovered me, and that gives us an advantage."
Anya Lothrin (Earth N.E.V. #11):
"What do you propose?"
Liahona [E.B.A.]:
"I have a two-phase plan to stop all this. I wasn't lying when I said the fate of everyone everywhere depends on our success. However, if I stay any longer, they will find me. I request that you assemble your remaining Resistance leaders for a meeting to be held in three days. At this meeting, I will explain more. Look over the data I gave you and decide for yourself. Goodbye, Knight-Raven of Earth N.E.V. #11."
Anya Lothrin (Earth N.E.V. #11):
"Until we meet again, Liahona."
The Narrator:
Anya immediately begins pouring over the data Liahona just gave her.
