[You received a Minor Upgrade Card.]

"So, it has been three days, huh?"

He murmured.

Looking at these rewards, he didn't feel much. Except for the last one, he was a bit curious about the Minor Upgrade Card.

But before he could get a chance to check that, he felt a large amount of Aura emerging inside his Ability Crystal.

It did hurt his brain a little.

But when he realized this, he immediately sat on the ground and closed his eyes, entering his mental energy inside the space-holding ability crystal.

Seeing the large amount of Aura being poured into the crystal, he couldn't contain his excitement.

'Finally! Finally, it's growing to the Fourth Rank. My decision wasn't wrong.'

'When my ability crystal was filled up to thirty percent, it was done with my mental energy and physical energy that was ten times smaller than my current one.'

'But when I improved those, the percentage increased from thirty percent to eighty percent. Except, the speed became slow after seventy percent.'

'If I hadn't increased my mental and physical energy, that speed would've been even slower.'

'This is just like in the video games where the player needs to get more experience to level up to a higher level.'

'Although I could've reached Fourth Rank within a week or two, that incident shortened it to just three days.'

'No, if I don't count those three days, it has only been a few minutes. Now, I can check how long it will take to complete this process.'

He thought to himself and released his mental energy from the Ability Crystal Space.

He did this to make sure his mental energy wasn't overconsumed.

At this moment, Rose walked in, and when she saw Tyler awake, she almost jumped into his embrace.

But remembering his injuries, she quickly got closer to him and hugged him in a place where he wasn't injured.

She burst into tears as she said.

"Sir, please do not scare me like this ever again!"

Tyler paused for a moment.

Despite his age, he deeply understood the mindset of other people. It was thanks to his previous life's experience.

The people were generally divided into two, especially in this world.

Those who could fight for others, and those who would only fight for themselves.

Hunters were a mixed bag.

Some hunters genuinely cared about humanity and focused on killing monsters and spirits.

There were some hunters who only cared about themselves and would do anything for their desire.

Desire was an uncontrollable emotion.

Nobody in this world could say they had complete control over their desire.

That's why, despite knowing the kidnapper was none other than Khalim, Tyler never took out his anger on him.

He only wanted to use Khalim to find out the people behind human auctions.

Of course, he was still angry at Khalim and wanted to kill him.

But because of his long-term goal, he let the man roam free for a while. And, it didn't take him long to figure out that this man was behind the kidnapping.

The people of his city were easy to understand. Since most of them weren't hunters. Most of them treated him as their Lord.

And, their loyalty came from their belief in him.

But hunters were different. Their emotions were harder to read. That's why he doubted John for a moment.

He was worried that if he rejected Alena, John would leave with her for the country.

But while he read him wrong, he was able to understand Rose, Jacob, Martin, and Liam better.

Liam was an emotional man who would do anything for him. He had only married a wife and had a child when the outbreak occurred.

He was on the verge of starvation, and his child was sick. If not for the timely help from Tyler, he would've lost everything.

That's why Liam was fiercely loyal to Tyler, even more than others.

Martin and Jacob were also loyal to him, but their loyalty stemmed from his trust in them and their own nature.

They were good people who could do a little bit of hardship without any complaint.

They were afraid of being hunters, but their idea to repay Tyler was even more important to them.

Rose was a difficult case. Unlike them, her loyalty ran deeper, but it was also mixed with love.

Because of this, her emotions were more volatile when they involved him.

At the same time, she was also someone who understood his mind.

She knew he was doing this to get stronger, but her love for him still made her scared.

Scared of losing him.

Liam and others would rather die before him.

But she only hoped he wouldn't die.

Even if that meant abandoning them. This was the idea that didn't stick with the others because they never thought of their Lord as a coward.

But for Rose, even if he became a coward, it was better than dying.

This was why Tyler didn't say a word. He just raised his arms around her and tightly hugged her, ignoring some injuries on his body.

He was getting accustomed to pain.

"Sir, I am glad you've recovered."

Since Tyler didn't say a word, Rose started controlling her emotions. She slowly left his embrace and wiped away her tears as she spoke.

Despite the loss she felt in her heart, she knew Tyler would continue to get more reckless.

This was the nature of hunters.

They needed to be reckless to get stronger. They needed battles. They needed to risk their lives.

Every mission could be a life and death situation. Every battle could decide their fate.

He could lose a limb or his life. Nobody could guarantee.

This was the life of a hunter.

But his life was even more strict. Because Tyler was the man who denied the natural order of this world.

He was the man who could openly say he wanted to kill all slave traders.

Many of them hated slave traders, but this system was so intertwined with society that they couldn't do anything to change it.

Tyler was different. She knew it, and that's why she wanted him to stay in his small city and take care of it.

But she wasn't his Lord. She was his maid. She couldn't influence his idea, nor could she prevent it.

She could only get stronger to support it.

"Have you given those fruits to Jacob and Liam?" Tyler asked.

Rose shook her head.

"Well, sometimes order and law do make things slow." Tyler pinched his nose and asked.

"So, where are they?"

"Outside! Liam got reckless yesterday and almost lost his leg." Rose answered, her eyes showing a fury that even Tyler was afraid of.

"So, he is out of danger now?" Tyler asked.

Rose suppressed her anger and spoke.

"Yes!"

Tyler was really getting afraid of looking into her eyes. He looked away and said.

"You should give those fruits to them. I will take some rest and recover. By the way, I am hungry."

Rose helplessly clenched her fist, unable to release her anger.

One was reckless enough, and now, there was another one being reckless. More importantly, she was the one who was worried about both of them.

She could only shake her head and walk out of the room.

After a while, Martin, John, and Jacob returned to greet him while John was still lying outside.

They didn't talk much, and after Rose brought him some food, they went outside.

Tyler gobbled the entire pot without any restraint.

After finishing his meal, he felt his recovery speed increasing. At this moment, the amount of Aura he was producing became faster.

He picked up a stick from the side and started making boxes on the ground.

Each box was only an inch long and wide.

After a while, he made around sixty-four boxes. Soon, he felt hollowed and was forced to sleep and recover.

The next day, he got another notification, and his body started producing more Aura.

[Ding! Daily Check-in has been activated.]

[You received 50 Soul Bills.]

Looking at this, he decided to check his Minor Upgrade Card, but he quickly noticed some changes in his Ability Crystal Space.

Because of his recovery, his body was producing even more Aura this time.

He could feel it. The amount of Aura merging with the crystal was overflowing.

This meant his crystal just needed to merge with that much aura, and it would evolve.

But just to understand his Aura Capacity, he kept producing more Aura until his body hollowed out and he fell asleep.

But this time, he woke up in just two hours.

And, unlike before, he woke up with a new power flowing through his body and soul.

His Ability Crystal had changed significantly. Its size increased from ten inches to fifty inches.

And, it was overflowing with his Aura, signaling his ascendence.

He had stepped into the Fourth Rank.
