Chapter 41 - Chapter 41

12 years old!!!

Doesn't that mean—!?

Nawaki's going to die this year!?

And worse… it'll probably happen during a mission soon!?

Hiroki's eyes widened in shock.This was the second major "plot event" he had encountered since crossing over.Compared to the first—Cloud Ninja's failed kidnapping of Kushina—this one hit much closer to home.

—Death.

If the Cloud Ninja incident merely set the stage for Kushina to one day fall for Minato Namikaze, then Nawaki's death was the prelude to something far greater… and far darker.

The Second Great Ninja War.

A war unlike any other.

Hiroki's thoughts raced. He quickly began digging through the "memory archives" in his mind, scrolling through everything he could recall from the series.

The Second Shinobi World War…The event that made the Three Legendary Sannin famous.The war where Nawaki and Dan Kato died.The trauma that gave Tsunade her crippling fear of blood.The conflict that earned Sakumo Hatake the name "White Fang."The war that orphaned Sasori, driving him into darkness.

And just three to five years after it ended came the even more brutal Third Ninja World War—triggered when Sasori assassinated the Third Kazekage.

Time was running out.

For the first time since arriving in this world, Hiroki truly felt it.

But he couldn't say anything.What could he possibly tell them?That a war was about to start because he read it in a manga?No one would believe that—and he had no way to explain it.

Besides, Konoha's upper ranks had probably already sensed the rising tension themselves.

That said, the mission still had to continue.

Their task—finding "Tiger," the lost pet cat of the Fire Daimyo's wife—was almost laughably familiar.Hiroki vaguely remembered Naruto's team taking on something similar in the original story.But there was no way it was the same cat.No cat could possibly live twenty or thirty years.

This "Tiger" was a plump, gold-and-silver tabby with stripes like a miniature tiger—hence the name.

Not long after Orochimaru explained the mission details, they spotted the creature's shadow.

"Found it!"

Nawaki pointed triumphantly at a fat, multicolored cat lounging atop a street fence. "Ha! Even if it's just cat-hunting, I'm the first one to find it!"

The cat stared down at them lazily, its half-lidded eyes full of disdain, as if saying, 'Pathetic humans.'

Kushina frowned. "So what if you found it? It's way up there! How are we supposed to get it down?"

Orochimaru didn't respond immediately. He simply watched the two kids argue, his expression unreadable. Finally, he spoke.

"One of the most basic skills of a ninja is chakra control. By focusing chakra at the soles of your feet, you can adhere to surfaces—even climb vertically."

As he spoke, he calmly stepped onto the wall and began walking up, his pale figure moving effortlessly until he stood upright on the top edge.

"The principle is simple. Try it yourselves."

He said nothing more, merely stood on the wall and observed.

"Whoa! That's awesome!" Nawaki exclaimed. He immediately focused, gathered chakra into his feet, and charged toward the wall with all the enthusiasm in the world.

Bang!

He managed two steps before his chakra flickered out, sending him sliding down in a cloud of dust and pride.

"Hahaha! Lame!" Kushina laughed, then took a deep breath and tried herself. Her chakra output was much stronger—but far too rough. She managed to stick to the wall, only to leave a crater in the tiles and bounce off from the rebound.

Neither of them gave up. Again and again, they tried—each failure adding another footprint or dent to the poor wall.

Hiroki, on the other hand, didn't move.

He simply stood there, eyes closed, as if meditating.

In truth, he had just opened his mental "Windows desktop."

As a programmer, Hiroki thought, it's always faster to write a script than to brute-force a skill.

He recalled how both Sasuke and Naruto—geniuses in their own right—had taken nearly a week to master this tree-climbing exercise.

He wasn't about to waste that kind of time.

Fortunately, he'd made a copy of his shadow clone yesterday and had been experimenting with the code structure of Vacuum Jade. The results were promising.

The jutsu's basic template looked something like this:

—Code Framework—

├── Core Execution Module

│ ├── Chakra_Collection.bat

│ ├── Wind_Conversion.bat

│ ├── Compression_Molding.bat

│ └── Launch_Control.bat

├── Parameter Configuration Module

│ ├── ChakraFlow_Table.config

│ ├── Wind_ConversionRate.config

│ ├── PressureThreshold.config

│ └── Ballistics.config

├── Physiological Interface Calls

│ ├── PulmonarySystem.dll

│ ├── ThroatControl.dll

│ ├── MeridianSystem.dll

│ └── BalancePerception.dll

└── Feedback System

 ├── ChakraFlow_Sensor.dat

 ├── NinjutsuTouch_Response.dat

 ├── SuccessSignal.dat

 └── FailureAlert.dat

Among these, Hiroki was certain that ChakraFlow_Sensor.dat could be reused—it was nearly identical to the version he'd seen in Lightning Release: Pseudo Darkness.

The only difference was in Chakra_Collection.bat.

A quick note on chakra, he reminded himself:Unlike internal energy or "true qi" from martial arts novels, chakra had to be generated and used immediately. Any excess dissipated rapidly.

So even though Wind Release and Lightning Release shared similar frameworks, the actual chakra-gathering methods in their code differed slightly.

Still, that didn't stop Hiroki.

Ctrl+C. Ctrl+V.

He smirked. "Creating ninjutsu is just like coding—copy, modify, execute."

He cracked his knuckles and began typing.

—Code—

// Chakra Control Core (Modified from Vacuum Jade)

// Original flow: throat → lungs → mouth

// New flow: dantian → legs → soles of feet

function chakraPreciseOutput(targetPart, outputPower) {

 // Original:

 // if (targetPart == "throat") {

 // ThroatMeridian.Open();

 // setFlowRate(outputPower);

 // }

 // Modified:

 if (targetPart == "left_sole" || targetPart == "right_sole") {

 FootMeridian.Open();

 setFlowRate(outputPower * 0.3); // Reduce power to avoid breaking the wall

 }

}

function maintainStableOutput() {

 // Maintain consistent chakra output

 while (ninjutsuActive) {

 currentOutput = detectCurrentOutput();

 if (currentOutput < targetValue * 0.95) increaseOutput(fineTune);

 if (currentOutput > targetValue * 1.05) reduceOutput(fineTune);

 wait(10ms);

 }

}

function emergencyTerminate() {

 // Stop chakra output immediately if control fails

 FootMeridian.Close();

 clearCachedChakra();

}

Just as he finished, Hiroki froze.

A crucial problem hit him like a kunai to the brain.

"…Wait. What is the correct chakra output value to stick to the wall without breaking it?"

He blinked.

"What's the unit of chakra, anyway?"

His gaze slowly shifted toward Orochimaru.
