Chapter 106 - Chapter 106: The Library Entrance

On the moon Silvar.

The Ancient One stepped out of the portal she had generated. The voices of Tzeentch began whispering again at her ear and to her soul, tempting her. But who was she? She was the Master of the Mystic Arts. With a mere wave of her hand, as if swatting a fly, she ignored them. She walked resolutely towards the main entrance.

At that moment, sophisticated defense systems whirred to life. Terran Marauders emerged, their heavy armor modified with an impressive arsenal: integrated flamethrowers, heavy cannons connected to their wrists, and missile launchers mounted on their shoulders. With determined steps and utterly without fear, they surrounded the Ancient One.

She did not panic. With an expert glance, she saw their true nature: these armors housed automated machines, piloted by an artificial intelligence.

One of the Marauders stepped forward and, in a robotic voice, declared: "You are in a secure area. Identify yourself or we will open fire."

The Ancient One calmly produced the seal Julius had given her. The object emitted a beautiful, soft blue light. Immediately, the Marauders bowed respectfully and then withdrew as silently as they had arrived.

Once alone, the Ancient One murmured: "I could have passed without it, but I would have lost a few feathers. And without the Time Stone or the Eye of Agamotto... I will have to find a replacement artifact in this universe."

She collected her thoughts and approached the monumental entrance. The doors detected Julius's seal. Then, an impressive security system was revealed: two Adamantium doors opened, followed by two more in Vibranium, and then two final ones in Beskar. The Ancient One couldn't help but wonder how such extreme security had been established.

She then found a spartan elevator. The seal allowed her to activate it. No floors were indicated; she only felt herself descending, deeply, for a long time. A soft ding announced her arrival.

She found herself facing another door. The Ancient One sighed: "Ha, please Julius, not another door... for goodness sake."

She presented the seal once more. This time, the door opened not like a simple door, but like the heavy doors of a giant safe. On the other side, there was... nothing. Just an empty room.

Surprise gripped her for a moment. Then, the walls began to move, becoming a liquid metal that flowed. The metal separated into two humanoid forms that stood before her.

"We are the Guardians," they said in a single metallic voice. "The seal, please."

Intrigued, she handed them the seal. One of the Guardians took it and, without hesitation, shattered it into pieces.

Immediately, machines emerged from the floor and a black and blue portal, shimmering with mysterious energy, appeared in the center of the room. The Guardian who had broken the seal raised a hand towards the opening.

"You may enter."

Without hesitation, the Ancient One stepped into the portal. A magnificent and soothing light welcomed her, and she instantly found herself inside the library.

It was a breathtaking sight. Kilometers of shelves stretched as far as the eye could see, filled with books, ancient scrolls, and artifacts gleaming with a palpable mystic power.

A smile touched her lips. She whispered, impressed despite herself: "Well then, little Julius, you've bluffed me."

Then, her gaze became determined.

"Alright, to work."
