The next day, Kars woke up as usual. Although he had played very late with Flandre, not resting well for one night had little effect on Kars. After all, a vampire's physique was far from fragile.
After getting enough sun, Kars headed to the Great Library to find Koakuma. He walked into her room and approached her bed. Looking at the sleeping Koakuma, he rested his hands on the bedside, pondering whether to wait for her to wake up or wake her himself.
Right now, I should try to think of a way to wake Koakuma up that will make her happy.
The only similar method Kars could think of was the Sleeping Beauty story he had heard in fairy tales. Although Koakuma wasn't cursed, the Prince kissed Sleeping Beauty to wake her up, and she not only wasn't angry but married him. That seemed like a good approach, didn't it?
With that thought, Kars climbed onto Koakuma's bed and sat on her stomach. He leaned down, looking at Koakuma's sleeping face and her soft, red lips. Without hesitation, he leaned in and kissed her.
"Doesn't feel like anything special." Kars immediately pulled back from the kiss, feeling no strange sensation from the act.
Was it too quick? Or is there something else I need to do?
Kars looked at the still-sleeping Koakuma, then leaned in again. This time, when his lips met hers, he didn't immediately pull away. After a moment, the sleeping Koakuma sensed something and slowly began to wake up. The sensation on her lips instinctively triggered a reaction, but then Koakuma quickly realized what was happening and opened her eyes immediately.
What she saw was Kars's face close to hers, and their lips locked in a kiss. The scene instantly overloaded her brain, and her entire face flushed bright red.
"Koakuma, you're awake! It seems like it didn't work if it was too brief." Kars smiled when he realized Koakuma was awake.
"Y-y-you! What are you doing!" Koakuma instantly sat up and demanded an explanation from Kars. Waking up to this situation was far too stimulating for her, and she had never expected Kars to do something like this.
"Waking you up."
"Then why use this method? Couldn't you have just woken me up normally!"
"But I was worried that might make you unhappy, or something. Considering the special attitude I should adopt, I thought this method might wake you up without making you angry. After all, in the fairy tale, Sleeping Beauty was kissed awake by the Prince, and then she married him, so I thought it would be fine."
Where is the 'fine' in this?! Yet, involuntarily, as Koakuma inwardly recalled the feeling of the kiss, she couldn't help but feel that it wasn't too bad after all.
Wait! I shouldn't be thinking about this!
"…Just wake me up normally next time. Also, you shouldn't use this method casually. If you use it before you're officially in a relationship, you might get slapped."
"Is that so? Did I make you unhappy, Koakuma?" Kars heard her and assumed the method was still wrong, concluding he shouldn't try it again.
"It's not that I'm unhappy…" It's just too stimulating. She worried about whether she could handle this. Am I being taken advantage of?
Koakuma silently looked at Kars. Since agreeing to the exercise, Kars's actions had not only made her happy but also a little excited. Thinking about it that way, perhaps she wasn't being taken advantage of at all.
It looks like I really have a thing for boys like him… Imagining Kars lying on her bed, Koakuma covered her nose.
"Koakuma, why are you bleeding?" Blood was running through Koakuma's fingers. Seeing this, Kars leaned closer to check.
"N-nothing! I was just thinking too hard and got a bit excited, that's all. I'm fine!" Koakuma waved her hand, insisting she was perfectly okay.
"If you say so." Although Kars was slightly confused, he didn't press the matter. As Koakuma prepared to change her clothes, she remembered Kars was still there. Seeing him staring at her intently, she spoke.
"Kars, a boy shouldn't watch a girl change her clothes. That's only allowed after you get married."
"I can't watch? But I always watch my little aunts change, and it seems fine." Kars replied, recalling his little aunts wearing children's undergarments. There's not much to see, anyway.
"The situation is a bit different." Koakuma wasn't sure how to explain it. She couldn't exactly tell him that a child's body lacked the allure of a fully developed one, and he probably wouldn't understand anyway.
"Girls don't like boys watching them change, so you need to be careful. But… do you want to see?" Koakuma suddenly wanted to see Kars blush. Since she hadn't seen him blush yet, she decided to try and tease him. She walked up to Kars, a mischievous smile on her face, and slowly began to unbutton her pajamas.
As more of Koakuma's chest was revealed, Kars could see the ample curves underneath her clothing. However, his expression remained unchanged throughout the process, showing no sign of embarrassment.
He really doesn't understand, does he? Seeing Kars completely unfazed, Koakuma was disappointed that her plan had failed. She wondered what it would take to make him blush.
"That's strange. Hasn't Koakuma woken up yet? Did she oversleep because she was so happy yesterday?" Patchouli came out of her room, noticing that Koakuma, who should have been awake and organizing books by now, was nowhere to be seen. She headed towards Koakuma's room.
"Koakuma, are you still not awake…" Patchouli opened the door and instantly froze, speechless at the sight of Koakuma, unbuttoning her pajamas to reveal a large expanse of white skin toward Kars, who was sitting on the bed.
