Chapter 260 - Endless S-Class Quests?

Takeshi clinked his cup with Laxus and said, "No need to be polite. You were originally a member of the guild, and now you're just returning to where you belong."

The two kept clinking glasses, and after three rounds of drinks, the atmosphere gradually became lively.

"Cheers!"

Takeshi was a bit dizzy at this point. Drinking really did make one happier the more they drank.

"Takeshi, we haven't seen each other in such a short time, how did you get so strong? Did you secretly take drugs?"

Laxus was shocked by Takeshi's Tailed Beast transformation. That powerful strength made him feel out of reach and completely redefined his concept of a strong person.

"Get lost! You're the one who secretly took drugs. I became this strong through my own efforts." Takeshi said.

"Nonsense! If effort worked, strong people would be everywhere." Laxus scoffed at Takeshi's words.

In the magic world, talent was undoubtedly the most important thing.

The most important was Magic Power talent.

Magic Power is the foundation, all magic requires Magic Power to sustain it. For the same magic, the greater the Magic Power, the greater its unleashed power.

For some powerful magic, if Magic Power is insufficient, one might not even qualify to learn it. For example, Gildarts' Crush magic.

Everyone in the guild knows it's incredibly strong, but Gildarts is the only one who can learn and use it.

Next is magic talent, which is like the difference between a top student and a poor student. A top student can learn more complex and powerful magic, while a poor student can only learn some simple spells.

Effort is the least valuable. While effort can make one stronger, if talent is poor, seven years of effort might not even compare to three months of effort from someone with good talent. The reality is that cruel.

"I was just lucky and summoned some powerful heroes from another world." Takeshi said with a smile.

Even though he had too much to drink, he still couldn't reveal anything about the System.

"Speaking of which, half a month has passed, and there hasn't been a single S-Class Quest, not even a 500,000 Jewel mission, let alone an S-Class one?"

Having witnessed Acnologia's power, Takeshi felt a sense of urgency about his strength. After staying for a while, he wanted to do some S-Class Quests.

Warren spread his hands, saying helplessly, "There's nothing we can do. Who told us to be the weakest guild? Even the 200,000 Jewel Quests only appeared a few times after they heard the core members returned."

"Those S-Class Quests have all been monopolized by powerful guilds, like Sabertooth. They say their guild has so many S-Class Quests they can't even finish them."

"What?!"

Takeshi couldn't help but exclaim upon hearing this.

So many S-Class Quests they couldn't finish them—that was what he had always dreamed of.

"It's not just Sabertooth. Lamia Scale and Blue Pegasus also have many S-Class Quests. Today's Lamia Scale and Blue Pegasus are no longer what they used to be, they've become quite powerful."

"S-Class Quests are now almost all concentrated in the top guilds. Small guilds like ours can't get a piece of the pie at all."

"No! This won't do! The guild ranking doesn't matter, but S-Class Quests cannot be few."

Takeshi suddenly realized the situation was somewhat critical. S-Class Quests were the resources for him to become stronger.

If this continued, without S-Class Quests, how could he become stronger?

"That's right. Recently, there hasn't even been a decent quest."

Currently, most of the guild members always stay in the guild, not because they are lazy, but because there really aren't many suitable Quests. Most of the current guild Quests are small ones ranging from 3,000 to 20,000 Jewels.

Lucy said, "It seems we need to improve the guild's ranking."

Laki said pessimistically, "It's hard. Although our core members are back, their strength is still what it was seven years ago."

"Uh..."

There was no refuting this. Even Natsu, a hot prospect for a S-Class Mage, was now suppressed by Max, so everyone naturally lacked confidence.

Erza nodded. "Hmm, this is indeed a problem. Although Takeshi and Gildarts both possess strength far exceeding others, a guild's power is not determined by one or two people. It will take some time to return to how things used to be."

"Isn't there a faster way? I can't wait any longer, I want to do S-Class Quests." Takeshi clamored.

He wanted to do S-Class Quests, he wanted to do Gacha. Only then could he take down Acnologia.

Suddenly—

Romeo jumped onto the table. "Takeshi-nii, there is a quick way to reclaim the number one spot."

"Really?!"

Takeshi's eyes lit up.

However, the expressions of those who had been in Fairy Tail for the last seven years changed drastically.

"Wh..."

"No... it couldn't be?"

"Could it be that..."

Macao broke out in a cold sweat, "No! Didn't we decide never to participate in that?!"

"What is that? Fourth Guild Master?" Makarov asked Macao, puzzled.

Macao shivered at the address. "Don't say that, Master."

Romeo said excitedly, "Takeshi-nii, listen to me. While you guys were gone, a yearly festival was established to choose the strongest guild in Fiore."

"All the guilds of Fiore gather to compete in magic. It's called the Grand Magic Games."

"As long as Fairy Tail wins the Grand Magic Games, it will become the strongest guild in Fiore."

"Ooh—!"

"Grand Magic Games!"

"Sounds like fun."

"It certainly feels very interesting."

All the Tenrou Team members were excited when they heard this.

"Let's do it!"

Takeshi immediately made the decision.

Hearing the name, he suddenly remembered the Grand Magic Games. Having stayed in the Fairy Tail world for so long, he couldn't recall many things unless they happened right before his eyes.

The Grand Magic Games...

Though he'd forgotten the specifics, for the sake of endless S-Class Quests, no matter who his opponents were, he would defeat them.

Makarov pondered, "Takeshi and Gildarts go without saying, but as for the rest of you, do you think you can win with your current Magic Power?"

Macao shouted, "Exactly! Too naive!"

Romeo said, "If you win, you'll get a huge prize of 30 million Jewels."

"We're in!"

Upon hearing about the prize money, Makarov immediately changed his expression.

He was now dirt poor and the guild's location was still mortgaged. Everyone was cooped up in this small tavern, and he owed Takeshi a considerable amount of money. If they won such a sum, the guild could recover significantly.

"Master!" Macao was instantly dumbfounded.

"It won't work. There's Blue Pegasus and Lamia Scale."

"And Sabertooth is there too."

"We've always been last."

Makarov enthusiastically pumped his fist and said, "Don't worry. It's fine. With Takeshi, Gildarts, Laxus, and Erza, we're sure to win."
