Blitz slapped Alvin's hand.
"Sorry, Father. Blitz doesn't want to forgive you," Rivera said firmly, arms crossed. But the slight upward curl on her lips made it obvious - she was silently praising Blitz for that slap.
Alvin sighed hard.
"Alright then… I guess you won't forgive me so easily," he said, rising from his knees. "Perhaps I must do more than just apologizing to show my sincerity."
He stretched out his hand.
A small portal shimmered into existence; dimensional storage. Alvin reached inside and pulled out something.
A fruit.
But not just any fruit.
Golden. Radiant. Shining like a polished sunstone in his palm.
The moment Blitz laid eyes on it, his entire body froze.
Holy shit.
T-t-t-t-that's… the Golden Apple.
Rivera went stiff, shock splashing across her face.
"F-Father." she stammered.
Rose looked equally stunned, her expression tightening with disbelief.
"Alvin… are you sure about this?" Rose asked in a low, tense voice.
Alvin nodded, unmoving and upright.
"Yes. I have to show both Rivera and Blitz that I'm truly sorry, that I want to make amends."
He turned to the little prey beast on the bed, holding out the glowing fruit with a hopeful smile.
"So… will you forgive me now, Blitz?"
"O-o-of course I will!"
How could he refuse? Blitz's eyes turned into twin green coins of pure greed as in front of him wasn't just a fruit, but the Legendary-tier Golden Apple.
With this fruit, he could enhance his stats: real stats, big, juicy stats.
If he's giving this to me, then I'll forget what happened yesterday.

Blitz squeaked with glee, shaking with excitement, letting Alvin know all was forgiven. This time, when Alvin reached out to pat him, Blitz did not resist.
After all, a fruit like this was worth far more than a grudge.
Blitz's current stats were abysmal:

Agility: 1 (2)
Magic: 1 (2)
Defence: 1 (2)
Perception: 1 (2)
His entire total didn't even reach ten.
But with the Golden Apple?
A +20 boost to one stat. Just like that, he would step into a new level of power.
And best of all, the Suppressor skill didn't affect stat boosters. It's only affects something like evolution and experience points.
