Chapter 47 - Chapter 46 : Captain Jack Sparrow

After the whole "pervert incident"—which he definitely was not—Daniel slipped deeper into the streets, keeping his head down. He needed information. He needed direction. And most importantly, he needed to figure out what kind of world he had just been dropped into.

From the architecture, the soldiers' uniforms, and the smell of the sea mixed with gunpowder and rum, he could guess one thing for sure:

This was the colonial era.

But which world?

He continued walking until he reached an open square where a large wooden notice board stood. Posters were nailed across it—some advertising ships, others warning about diseases, and the rest offering bounties.

Daniel scanned the papers lazily… until his eyes stopped.

On one wanted poster, printed in bold, neatly inked letters, was a familiar name

"Jack Sparrow."

Daniel blinked once.

Then twice.

"The Jack Sparrow…" Daniel muttered under his breath. "So am I in the world of Pirates of the Caribbean."

Suddenly, the earlier incident snapped into place.

No wonder the woman in the bath had seemed familiar.

Elizabeth.

Future Pirate Queen Elizabeth Swann.

Daniel dragged a hand down his face.

"Yeah… that explains a lot."

"Haha… the sand adventures are over," he said to himself, excitement bubbling up. "Now the sea adventures begin."

And honestly?

He was thrilled.

Because he was absolutely planning to mess with this world.

Punch Davy Jones.

Fry the Kraken.

Scamming Jack Sparrow just for fun.

Maybe even marry Elizabeth while the universe screams in confusion.

Daniel clasped his hands behind his head, strolling casually down the street.

"Yep," he said cheerfully. "This world is in danger."

On Elizabeth Swann's side,

She stood before her vanity as two maids helped her dress, tightening corset strings and arranging her hair. But Elizabeth barely noticed their hands. Her gaze was distant, unfocused, lost somewhere far away.

The maids exchanged a look.

"Miss," one of them said cautiously, "are you thinking about that scoundrel from earlier? Don't worry—he'll definitely be caught and beheaded. The guards won't let a man like that roam free."

Elizabeth blinked, snapping out of her thoughts.

"No, I wasn't thinking about him," she said quickly. "I'm worried about something else entirely."

She sighed—long, weary, and frustrated.

Her real headache wasn't the man who fell from the sky and crashed through her bathroom.

It was her father.

And his relentless insistence that she marry Commodore Norrington.

Elizabeth pressed a hand to her forehead.

A mysterious falling intruder was one problem.

A forced engagement was far, far worse.

It would be wonderful—perfect, really—if someone could just fall from the sky and whisk her away from all of this.

Elizabeth paused.

Then her face slowly turned a shade of pink as she remembered exactly what had fallen from the sky earlier…

And crashed directly into her bathroom.

Completely uninvited.

Completely the wrong kind of sky-falling savior.

She shook her head violently.

"No. Absolutely not. That is not what I meant," she muttered to herself.

The maids glanced at one another, confused.

Elizabeth sighed again.

Life would be so much easier if destiny sent her a proper rescuer…

Not a dusty, confused intruder who materialized in her bathtub.

While Daniel was now standing at the Port Royal docks staring at the sea. Waves rolled gently against the wooden posts, seagulls circled overhead, and the salty breeze brushed against his face.

"Fresh sea air…" Daniel murmured, taking a deep breath. "My mind feels like I should take a dip."

He stretched his arms behind his head, enjoying the view.

A translucent system screen flickered into existence before his eyes.

[Mission: Recover Fragment from Isla de Muerta (Island of the Dead)]

[Mission: Recover Fragment from the Kraken]

[Mission: Recover Fragment from the Fountain of Youth]

Daniel whistled softly.

"Well… that's a lot of sea-related problems."

All three locations had one thing in common—they were impossible to reach without a ship. And not just any ship, but one captained by someone insane enough to sail straight into cursed waters, sea monsters, and legendary death traps.

Which meant there was really only one choice.

"For that," Daniel muttered, a faint grin forming, "I need a captain."

And not just any captain.

Captain Jack Sparrow.

As if summoned by the thought itself—

Daniel's ears twitched.

He heard voices nearby.

Two red-coated soldiers stood on the pier not far from him, snapping to attention as a man in a battered tricorne hat sauntered up the dock with all the swagger of someone who believed the world rolled out carpets just for him.

Daniel squinted.

"That's definitely Jack Sparrow," he muttered. Anyone with functioning eyes would recognize that walk.

But the moment Jack approached, both stiffened, rifles raised in forced authority.

Murtogg cleared his throat. "This dock is off-limits to civilians."

Jack paused mid-step, raised his hands in exaggerated apology, and smiled like a man who absolutely knew the rule… and had absolutely decided to ignore it.

"Sorry," he said smoothly. "I didn't know."

Music drifted down from Fort Charles above them — ceremonial horns, polite applause, something fancy and official. Jack glanced up toward the fort, squinting against the sun.

"Some sort of to-do up at the fort, eh?" Jack asked casually. "You two weren't invited?"

Murtogg stiffened. "No… someone has to make sure this dock stays off-limits to civilians."

Jack shifted his gaze to the impressive vessel tied at the pier — polished wood, crisp sails, officers scurrying about preparing for departure.

"This must be some important boat," Jack commented.

"Ship," Mullroy corrected automatically.

Jack nodded without missing a beat. "Ship."

Murtogg continued, eager to show off what little authority he had. "Captain Norrington has made it his flagship. He'll use it to hunt down the last dregs of piracy on the Spanish Main."

"Commodore," Mullroy whispered.

Daniel stepped forward and tapped Jack on the shoulder.

"Hello, friend," Daniel said.

Jack turned, eyeing the stranger in fancy clothes. He blinked once, slowly.

"…Do I know you?" Jack asked, confused but trying to look confident.

Daniel shook his head. "No."

Jack nodded as if that somehow made sense. "Right. Good. Just checking."

His eyes narrowed slightly, studying Daniel's clean appearance.

"You don't look like you belong here," Jack muttered, tilting his head. "Bit too polished for Port Royal."

Daniel shrugged. "I could say the same about you."

Jack smirked faintly. "Ah, but I never belong anywhere. That's the charm."
