Adeline nodded, still feeling a bit overwhelmed. Eli, the Alphas assistant, a friendly looking young man with a warm smile, stepped forward and led her away. Alpha Damien watched them go before turning to Lyra.
"Now, what's this about Adeline?" He asked, his voice low and urgent.
Lyra hesitated, glancing at Eli and Adeline's retreating figures. "It's not safe to discuss here,"she said quietly. " But I had a prophecy, Alpha. A dream. I saw her, and I know that her presence here confirms that a War is coming."
Alpha Damien's eyes narrowed. "War?" What do you mean?"
Lyra shook her head. "I'm not entirely sure. The prophecy wasn't clear. But I do know what she's connected to it somehow. Her presence alone is like a beacon, calling out to the enemy."
Alpha Damien's expression turned thoughtful. "And what else do you know about her?"
Lyra took a deep breath before speaking. "There's one thing I'm certain of, Alpha. She's your mate."
Alpha Damien's eyes widened in surprise. "What? How is that possible?
Lyra smiled wryly. "Perhaps it's because she hasn't transformed into a wolf yet and her wolf isn't present. But you, Alpha, you're a strong and powerful Alpha. You came directly from the line of the most powerful wolves in history. You should be able to sense her presence, feel the connection between you two."
Alpha Damien's mind was reeling. He hadn't considered the possibility that Adeline could be his mate. Buy now that Lyra mentioned it, he couldn't deny the connection he felt toward her.
"Lyra, I want you to dig deeper in to this," he said his voice firm. "I want a full report on her status, her powers, everything. Read the ancient texts, talk to the elders. I want to know everything about her."
"Lyra nodded, her eyes shining with determination. "I'll get started right away, Alpha."
Two hours later, Eli returned to Adeline's quarters, a warm smile on his face. "Ready to explore the pack, Adeline? You must be starving. We have a hall, where everyone gathers for meals. I'll show you around the headquarters for now, we'll do a proper tour of the pack tomorrow"
Adeline nodded, feeling a bit more at ease. As they walked through the headquarters halls, Eli pointed different areas, and explaining what they lead and what they are used for. Adeline listened intently, taking it all in.
As Adeline and Eli continued to explore the packs headquarters. She wanders through the halls, taking in the warm snd welcoming atmosphere. She felt a sense of peace wash over her, and for the first time in a long time, she felt like she was home.
As they approached the Alphas quarters, Adeline saw a group of people gathered outside. Eli nodded towards them. "The Alphas council" he explained. "They make decisions for the pack. You'll be joining them for dinner tonight."
Adeline hearts skipped a beat as Eli led her into the dining hall. The room fell silent as everyone turned to look at her. Alpha Damien smiled, his eyes glinting with amusement.
"Ah, perfect timing," he said, standing up from his seat at the head of the table. "Everyone, please great our Luna."
The room erupted into a chorus of greetings, but Adeline's attention was fixed on Alpha Damien's words. Luna? What did he mean?
As the dinner began, Adeline felt like she was in a daze. Everyone was looking at her, talking to her, but she couldn't shake off the feeling that something was about to change. And then, Alpha Damien's eyes met hers, and she felt a spark of electricity run through her body.
"Aren't you supposed to greet your Luna when you see her?" Alpha Damien said, his voice low and husky, his eyes glinting with amusement.
The room fell silent again, and Adeline's eyes locked onto Alpha's Damien's, her heart pounding in her chest. What was happening? And what did he mean by Luna?
