Chapter 415 - Chapter 177: Duel—But It's Cassandra vs. Vivi (16,000 Words) (Part 2)

"Let me see," Ron said, looking over her shoulder at her schedule, frowning, "they messed up your schedule, look—you've got ten classes scheduled for one day, but you don't have enough time."

"I'll manage, I've already talked with Professor McGonagall," Hermione said confidently.

"But look," Ron laughed, "see tomorrow morning? Nine o'clock, Divination... and then, nine o'clock, Muggle Studies, and—" Ron leaned closer to the schedule, completely unable to believe his eyes, "look—Arithmetic Divination at nine o'clock... I mean, I know you're great, Hermione, but no one's that great, how can you attend three classes at the same time?"

"I have my ways, Ron." Hermione looked up and smiled at Harry, "Of course, I also know why Sister Vivi could finish four years of Muggle University in less than a year..."

Yes, Time Converter.

Harry saw the necklace around Hermione's neck, but he didn't plan on telling Ron about it.

Since Hermione didn't tell, he naturally wouldn't gossip and leak someone else's secret.

"Pass me the jam." Hermione instructed Ron, "If I'm in a good mood, I'll tutor you, Ron."

Just then, Cassandra, who had been called away by Professor McGonagall, returned, and you could tell from her expression that she was in a very bad mood.

Harry was always good at reading the room, and he would never pick a fight at such a time.

Instead, it was Draco who concernedly asked his silent great-aunt next to him.

"What's wrong?" he asked.

"Nothing." Cassandra carefully put away her copy of the schedule, seemingly with a glint in her eye, "I just didn't expect a descendant of the Trelawney family to be teaching at Hogwarts..."

"You know Professor Trelawney?" Draco asked tentatively, "I've heard from my father that he says that professor is a complete lunatic, don't know why Dumbledore hired her."

"Your father has keen insight, Draco." Cassandra gave Draco an approving look, "The Trelawney family has never lacked lunatics or frauds."

She certainly had a grudge against Trelawney—not against Professor Sybil Trelawney, but everyone with the surname Trelawney.

After all, a century ago, Prophet Trelawney had thoroughly humiliated her, even mocked that she should take up carpet weaving.

Cassandra's voice was so loud that Harry on the other side could hear it.

Hermione lowered her head and whispered to Harry, Ron, and the others, "Oh my god, how can she be like this? It really is Malfoy... why target Professor Trelawney like that? Professor Trelawney didn't do anything to her..."

No, Trelawney did provoke her, Harry thought to himself.

Though it wasn't the same Trelawney.

In the afternoon, Cassandra went to the library.

Thinking about what Harry had said, she specifically went to the library to look up some information, and when she saw that from the fifteenth or sixteenth century, Muggle women were washing clothes with washboards by the riverside, Cassandra was exceedingly angry.

Especially with those soul-piercing illustrations, Cassandra felt the washboard's textures looked so much like her ribcage...

"Potter!!!" she growled like a lioness.

"Quiet!" Mrs. Pince yelled back angrily.

But what Harry didn't expect was that later that night, Draco sneaked his way to the entrance of the Gryffindor Common Room.

Since he wasn't a Gryffindor, the Sphinx wouldn't let him in— even if the Sphinx did let him in, he wouldn't have the guts to approach it.

He stood there waiting for a long time until Percy finally showed up, late as usual.

"Weasley!"

Draco called out, gesturing for him to come over, briskly walking up to him.

Percy seemed a bit out of it, looking as if his soul was elsewhere.

Hearing Draco call him, he almost jumped in fright.

"Malfoy?"

Percy frowned and looked at Draco, "What are you doing at the Gryffindor Common Room's entrance? You should know that the school doesn't allow students to wander at night, be careful or I'll deduct points from you!"

"Don't spoil the fun, Weasley." Draco raised his eyebrows at Percy, "I'm here for Harry, Harry Potter, I have something urgent."

Hearing it was for Harry, Percy's tangled brows relaxed.

"Wait here, I'll go get him for you."

Just as he turned around to enter the common room, he heard Draco call him from behind.

"Hey, Weasley!"

Percy turned back with some displeasure and asked, "What else do you want?"

"Though I don't really want to meddle, but..." Draco mischievously pointed at his own face with his hand, "you have a lipstick mark on your face, Weasley, unless you want the twins at your house to laugh at you?"

Percy froze for a moment, then reached his hand up to his face and wiped repeatedly as if it were electrified.

Reasonably suspecting if he used a bit more force, he might scrub his face raw.

After some wiping, Percy looked up and asked, "Is it gone?"

"It's gone." Draco nodded, "Quick, go get Harry for me, Weasley, I'm really in a hurry."

Percy nodded, and after he reached the door, he turned back and thanked Draco, "Thanks."
