Chapter 5 - 4. Ayanokoji

Ayanokoji was feeling lots of stares in the cafeteria.

Not just him, even Sudo, and that magenta hair guy as well.

And then that guy went to Student Council.

Is it bullying?

Sudo is understandable, since he got into an argument with the upperclassmen.

He is also understandable, since he was with Sudo.

But wasn't that guy just gulping down buttermilk at the vending machine?

First day, and he already got into a troublesome situation.

Just as he was finished with his lunch and was about to get back to class, the Magenta guy reappeared.

And this time, he was moving towards Ayanokoji.

"I forgot to get your number."

"Huh?"

"Your number."

Ayanokoji felt something in him.

Was it happiness?

Has he somehow made a friend? Who is asking for his number?

Ayanokoji nodded and typed his number in the Magenta guy's phone.

Magenta guy gave him a missed call.

"Save Ryuen Kakeru."

"So, umm, I am Ayanokoji Kiyotaka."

"Kukuku, I know. You are famous."

"Huh? What do you mean?"

"Just forget about what happened yesterday. Delete it. It's settled."

Delete it? Oh. From his memory.

So Magenta guy talks a bit like Professor, that friend of Idiot Trio?

"Alright. By the way, what do you mean famous?"

"You haven't watched news?"

He is on news!?

'Ding!'

He received 20,000 points from Ryuen.

Huh? Why?

"Why—"

Before he could ask further, Ryuen left, muttering, "Your plan was brilliant."

What plan?

...That can wait. First, he needs to see what is the news.

He went to the class hurriedly, and everyone's gaze was on him.

Something really has happened?

He went to his seat and looked at Horikita looking at him.

Horikita of all people was looking at him with pity.

And she had her phone in her hands, which was really surprising—

Wait, is it that man on her screen!?

He took out his phone and searched his name.

A video appeared, but it soon disappeared.

As if someone deleted it.

But some Chinese news outlets were showing his face.

So he read the article.

It was published some 20 minutes ago.

His eyes widened as he read the ridiculous article.

Apparently, that man, his father, went to London to get refuge.

London, the most popular refuge destination for all sorts of rich criminals.

And he held a press conference and exposed Japan's biggest scandal after World War 2.

Since just like the heinous crimes by the Japanese government at that time, the heinous crime was done with support of Japanese government as well.

Ayanokoji Atsuomi of all people exposed everything about White Room.

The guy who ran White Room!

He shared reports of all people involved in the project.

Who sent their kids in this ridiculous project.

Which orphanage sold the orphans for this project.

How much funding was provided, from where.

How many kids died.

The name and photos of each kid who died.

And the names and photos of each kid who is still alive.

Including Ayanokoji Kiyotaka, the son of Atsuomi who escaped from White Room and is now in ANHS.

"When my once a generation genius son, Kiyotaka ran away from what I thought was perfect education, I realised my mistake and decided to expose everything in front of the world—"

And then, Atsuomi died in front of the world dramatically.

Heart Attack.

Though most people think that it is a cover-up explanation for an assassination.

Ayanokoji couldn't believe what he was seeing.

That man died, just like that?

He was probably threatened by someone, so he just decided to expose everything and settle in London.

But the way he admitted that he was in-charge is really nothing like his nature.

And even if he had to do that, did he have to expose Ayanokoji's identity just when he has started going to a real school!?

That man probably already knew that he is going to die, so he decided to make Ayanokoji's life difficult before going to hell.

Japanese sites were either getting taken down or downplaying it, news outlets like New York Times and Telegraph were really downplaying it, using sugary words.

And Chinese news outlets were aggressively calling out Japanese government for serious Human Rights violations.

On just the second day of his school, technically the first day since yesterday was just entrance ceremony, Ayanokoji Kiyotaka hopes for a peaceful high school life were completely shattered.
