Five spaceships pierced through Namek's atmosphere and landed on the planet's green surface.
The five members of the Ginyu Force stepped out of their pods and flew together toward Frieza's location.
Frieza had been waiting for them. When he saw the squad arrive, a satisfied smile spread across his face.
One after another, the five figures landed in front of him and knelt.
"Greetings, Lord Frieza!" the Ginyu Force said respectfully.
Captain Ginyu stepped forward, holding a box. "Lord Frieza, this is the new batch of scouters you requested."
"Excellent." Frieza took one of the devices and clipped it on.
Then he gave his order. "Your mission is simple—find the remaining fighters on this planet, and bring me the two Dragon Balls that are still missing."
"Leave it to us, Lord Frieza!" Ginyu replied, activating his scouter.
But as soon as the readings appeared, even he was taken aback. His eyes widened in disbelief.
"How… how is this possible? About 9,000 kilometers away—there's a group of fighters moving at high speed… and one of them has an astonishingly powerful energy signature!"
Frieza, surprised by Ginyu's reaction, checked the readings on his own scouter.
His expression darkened, "To think there are warriors on this planet with such power… This is beyond my expectations."
"Lord Frieza," Ginyu said firmly, "allow the Ginyu Force to deal with them. We'll crush them all in one swift strike."
"Perhaps those pests also carry Dragon Balls," Frieza mused, deactivating his scouter. "Very well, Ginyu. That's why I summoned you—to wipe out these gnats."
Frieza narrowed his eyes. "Still… the strongest of them has a combat power of nearly 100,000. Impressive, though he shouldn't be your match."
"Of course not, Lord Frieza," Ginyu declared confidently. "I am the strongest warrior in the universe—aside from you."
With a combat power of 120,000, Captain Ginyu firmly believed that no one besides Frieza could surpass him.
Even if someone truly had 100,000, he was certain of his victory.
The rest of the Ginyu Force, however, were stunned. To them, such a number was terrifying.
Guldo: 10,000
Recoome: 40,000
Jeice: 42,000
Burter: 43,000
The thought of facing an opponent more than twice as strong as them left them pale.
At that moment, Zarbon emerged from the medical chamber, fully healed.
His eyes widened when he saw the Ginyu Force kneeling before Frieza.
"So, the Ginyu Force has arrived already…" Zarbon muttered, still shaken.
Then he composed himself and bowed. "Lord Frieza, forgive me for keeping you waiting."
"Ah, Zarbon. You've made a full recovery." Frieza's tone was cold. "Good. Join the Ginyu Force. Together, you will eliminate the remaining fighters on this planet."
Though Zarbon wasn't sure what had changed, he bowed deeply. "Yes, Lord Frieza."
Frieza smirked. With him here, Vegeta—still recovering from his injuries—wouldn't dare cause trouble.
And so, the Ginyu Force, now joined by Zarbon, launched off toward the energy signatures of Piccolo and the others.
Back in his hoverchair, Frieza accepted a glass of red wine from a subordinate.
He took a slow sip and chuckled, "Soon, all seven Dragon Balls will be in my possession. Immortality will finally be mine."
Excitement gleamed in his crimson eyes at the thought of eternal life.
But what Frieza didn't realize was that inside the medical chamber, Vegeta had almost finished healing.
Vegeta's eyes snapped open as he clenched his fists. This is it. The Ginyu Force has just left. That means Frieza is alone.
He weighed his options. This is my only chance to seize the Dragon Balls.
If I fail, I die. If I don't try, I die anyway. Then I'll gamble—it's the Saiyan way.
Even from inside the tank, Vegeta could feel it—his strength had grown after his recovery.
But there was one thing he couldn't understand: the sudden, explosive growth of the Earth fighters' power.
How…? How have those weaklings improved so much in such little time?
He calculated quickly. Two more minutes and I'll be at full strength… No! I can't wait that long. If I delay, Frieza could come. I'll strike now—while he least expects it.
With his injuries more than 90% healed, Vegeta raised one hand, pressed it against the glass of the healing chamber—
—and shattered it in a single burst of power.
