As Android 16, 17, and 18 were flying away.
17 asked in confusion, "16, why didn't you keep fighting them? You just had to hold off Vegeta. The rest of them are basically ants to me."
"We can't be too optimistic. The situation seemed in our favor, but Goku hasn't shown up yet. Once Goku appears, things could turn very unfavorable for us," 16 replied calmly.
In 16's opinion, there was no reason to take unnecessary risks. The danger was too high.
Hearing this, 17 had no choice but to stay quiet.
16's fighting ability was stronger than his, and ultimately the final decision rested in 16's hands.
18 didn't speak, but curiosity gnawed at her. She wondered just how strong Goku really was.
Finally, she asked, "What do you think? How powerful is Goku?"
"I'd guess he's about the same as Vegeta," 17 answered casually.
In his mind, since both Goku and Vegeta could transform into Super Saiyans, their strengths should be close.
The gap couldn't be too huge—otherwise, it just wouldn't make sense.
After a pause, 16 said again, "Regardless, we need to remain cautious."
"You really are overly cautious, 16," 18 remarked. 17 agreed with her.
In their view, no matter how strong the Z Warriors were, none of them could possibly overcome the three androids together.
But unbeknownst to both the Z Warriors and the androids, a time machine had just landed on Earth.
From within it crawled a strange figure—Cell, who had traveled from the future.
"Hehehe…" Cell grinned, "I've finally arrived in this timeline. Seventeen, Eighteen—just wait for me to absorb you! Then I'll achieve my perfect form."
Suppressing his power, Cell slithered off quietly, choosing first to investigate the current situation.
Meanwhile, at Bulma's house, Goku was lounging on a chair by the pool.
Suddenly, he opened his eyes and muttered, "So, it's begun… Cell, keep dancing. Let me enjoy the show."
"What is it, Goku? Who's Cell?" Bulma asked curiously as she massaged his shoulders.
Anyone who caught Goku's interest had to be a formidable enemy—at least, that's what Bulma thought.
Goku smirked, "Don't worry. He's just a clown… nothing more than a little seasoning for me!"
"Hehe, of course. To you, Goku, every enemy ends up looking like a clown," Bulma teased.
Goku closed his eyes again, enjoying the massage. In his mind, it didn't matter what Cell did.
With the Dragon Balls, everything could be restored if necessary.
Still, he was curious to see just how powerful Cell would become in his ultimate form.
After all, Goku could now tap into Super Saiyan 2 at will—and even maintain Super Saiyan 4 for long periods.
Thanks to his unique body, he now had a mechanism similar to the androids' infinite energy.
Three days later, reports began flooding in: countless city dwellers were mysteriously disappearing.
No one knew who the killer was, and the people of Earth had no clues to go on.
The Z Warriors gathered to discuss the situation.
They had asked Goku to join, but he refused. To him, this was trivial.
He believed all he had to do was show up at the end to clean up the mess. Simple as that.
"Piccolo, you said entire cities have vanished in just a few days. Could the androids be behind this?" Krillin asked nervously.
"No. An android couldn't have done this," Piccolo said firmly after examining a corpse that had been drained dry.
From his perspective, the brutal act of sucking humans dry wasn't the androids' style. They had no such ability.
"Then who did it? A new enemy?" Yamcha asked, his voice shaking. The thought made him gasp.
The android threat hadn't even been dealt with yet—if another foe had appeared, things would spiral out of control.
"It's a pity Goku didn't come," Tien Shinhan muttered. "If he had analyzed the situation, he'd probably know already."
"He's probably with Mom and… Little Mom Bulma," Gohan said sheepishly, scratching his head.
Krillin immediately pulled a sour face, "That bastard Goku… always putting women above his friends."
It was bad enough to be dealing with disasters, but hearing Gohan casually mention Goku's family situation made Krillin feel like life was unfair.
He was still single, while Goku had two wives and two children.
Krillin was envious—but deep down, he knew he'd never have that kind of luck. Fate just wasn't on his side.
Piccolo cut through the chatter.
"Enough. We need to focus. Whoever the murderer is, we must find them fast. If we let this continue, more innocent lives will be lost."
