The Moment She Decided

It started with a photo.

A single image posted by one of Adrian's backup dancers — nothing unusual, just a behind-the-scenes shot before a concert.

But in the background, Adrian was sitting on a folding chair, his head bowed, his hands pressed together as if in prayer.

There was no camera smile. No act.

Just him — tired, human, alone.

Aura saved that picture.

Then she zoomed in until the pixels blurred his face.

Until he became something soft and unreachable — like a dream half-forgotten at dawn.

She whispered, "You look so tired," to the screen.

And she didn't mean it as pity.

She meant it as permission.

Permission to step in where no one else would.

To fix what the world had broken.

She spent the next week studying his staff list — his team, his agency, his manager's new assistant.

That's where she saw it: a new opening for "Artist Assistant – Temporary Contract."

She smiled faintly.

The position required flexibility, travel readiness, discretion.

Things she already excelled at.

Within hours, she had a new name: Alex — clean résumé, perfect background check, fabricated references.

Her handwriting changed.

Her voice on the phone grew lighter, professional, controlled.

No one questioned her when she was hired.

Who would suspect someone so calm, so polite, so ordinary?

When she met Adrian for the first time — as Alex, his new assistant — he looked at her briefly, offered a tired smile, and said:

"Thanks for joining us. You'll have to forgive me if I'm a bit all over the place lately."

She nodded.

"Don't worry, Adrian. I'll take care of everything."

And she meant it.

That night, alone in her small apartment, she looked at herself in the mirror and whispered:

"Now you'll never be alone again."

Then she turned off her phone — the fan accounts, the secret profiles, all of it — and smiled.

From that moment on, she wasn't a fan anymore.

She was his world.
