Chapter 139 - 《Naruto: Ice God》Chapter 139: Victory

"Naruto: Ice God"Chapter 139: Victory

Danzō received the battle report from the front lines without panic.

Although in his assessment this Kirigakure unit had already become expendable, he had dispatched forces according to main army standards.

While there might be some casualties at first contact, once the Konoha shinobi stabilized their positions, they could rely on their overwhelming strength to push this unit and any reinforcements straight into the sea.

After all, just Jiraiya and Orochimaru fighting at the very front would be more than enough to give Kirigakure a nightmare.

However, to be absolutely certain, he summoned a subordinate: "Tell Ryōma he doesn't need to monitor the Uchiha for now. Have him bring his Root subordinates and join the battle!"

With a jōnin of Ryōma's caliber joining the fight, Danzō was clearly more at ease.

However, with Danzō's orders, the camp's security level had obviously decreased considerably.

But Danzō paid it no mind—after all, the camp still had him, Homura Mitokado, and Tsunade stationed there. Even if attacked, the enemy couldn't possibly gain any advantage.

...

"What was that watermelon thing again...?"

Feng Bai, still entangled with Ao, noticed the newcomer but momentarily couldn't recall his name.

Kicking Ao away and worried about Obito and the others' safety, Feng Bai used Flying Thunder God to return to their side.

After all, his opponent had already been struck by a poisoned senbon and would likely lose combat ability soon.

While Kakashi and Obito could handle Biwa Jūzō, if you added the fat guy wielding Samehada—whose name Feng Bai couldn't remember—the two would be no match for them.

"The name's Suikazan Fuguki, and I'm the one who'll kill you."

Suikazan Fuguki was somewhat displeased that Feng Bai hadn't called out his name, especially since even that green-skinned brat's squad had known the Seven Ninja Swordsmen's reputation.

However, the Seven Ninja Swordsmen were indeed now in name only.

After Might Duy killed four of them, Kurosuki Raiga had also vanished during a mission, and even the Thunder Blades were nowhere to be found.

Cursing Kurosuki Raiga under his breath, Suikazan Fuguki swung Samehada, preparing to slaughter the group before him.

"Be careful—that's the White Reaper, not some ordinary brat."

Ao warned through the pain, simultaneously blocking the Kirigakure shinobi who had just arrived to support Suikazan Fuguki: "He specializes in large-scale jutsu—don't attack in groups!"

Hearing Ao's warning, the other Kirigakure shinobi immediately changed their support tactics, launching ninja tools and jutsu from a distance.

"Damn it, all our intelligence has been exposed!"

Glaring viciously at Ao and Biwa Jūzō, who were already receiving treatment, Feng Bai gritted his teeth, determined not to let these bastards escape no matter what.

Dodging Samehada's sudden spike attack, under Suikazan Fuguki's suspicious gaze, Feng Bai used Glacial Defense Hall to temporarily block the enemy's vision and attacks.

"Ice Release: Yuki-onna's Advent!"

When Suikazan Fuguki shattered the ice barrier before him, he was greeted by two Yuki-onna half-statues breathing freezing mist.

"Useless! My great blade Samehada can absorb chakra—you can't possibly restrict my movements!"

As Kirigakure's ANBU commander, Suikazan Fuguki naturally had intelligence on Feng Bai.

"Samehada can indeed absorb chakra, but it has limits."

Feng Bai naturally knew Samehada's capabilities—after all, it was the most famous ninja blade in all of Naruto.

His actions were merely to buy himself some time.

[Isobu, give me chakra, as much as possible, urgent urgent urgent!!!]

[Isobu: ...]

Though Isobu didn't respond, the sudden surge of chakra in his body proved the beast was acting as Feng Bai requested.

Feeling his chakra overflow, Feng Bai didn't hesitate and activated Shadow Clone Technique.

Five shadow clones immediately took positions at five different points. With everything prepared, Feng Bai called his teammates together, and right in front of Suikazan Fuguki and the others, they joined hands and vanished from their original position.

"This is bad!"

Only Ao among everyone present sensed the danger. Though his Byakugan couldn't distinguish which shadow clones were the real body, he could see the massive chakra contained within them.

"Even if you notice, it's useless—after all, this technique has an enormous range!"

One of Feng Bai's shadow clones thoughtfully provided commentary for Ao, then unleashed Feng Bai's most powerful jutsu: "Five Release: Grand Barrage Technique!"

The Kirigakure shinobi could only watch helplessly as five different chakra natures collided before their eyes.

Despair began flooding Suikazan Fuguki's eyes.

Even with Samehada's help, he couldn't possibly devour such an enormous amount of chakra instantly.

It seemed death was their only path.

Accompanied by a tremendous roar, a mushroom cloud appeared over the battlefield.

As the cloud rose, countless black specks began falling from the sky.

Enhanced by Isobu's chakra, this Five Release Grand Barrage caused far more destruction than Feng Bai's previous use.

Even after using Flying Thunder God to move to their pre-attack position, they still felt the massive shockwave.

"What are those black specks?"

Looking at the specks continuously falling in the distance, Obito was curious.

"Idiot, those are people."

Kakashi replied coldly, answering Obito's question while deeply feeling his own powerlessness.

It seemed he was being left far behind by these two.

"Though I'd like to use Flying Thunder God to go back and check, but..."

Trying to sense the Flying Thunder God kunai he'd left during his battle with Ao, Feng Bai attempted for a long time but couldn't sense the kunai's position—it had probably been blown somewhere by the blast's shockwave.

Shrugging, Feng Bai and the others could only walk to their previous battle location.

...

Feng Bai and his team ultimately didn't find the bodies of Ao, Biwa Jūzō, and the others—after all, most of the corpses before them were in such a gruesome state that identifying them was impossible.

However, they did find the Executioner's Blade's hilt far from the battle site, and Samehada bouncing wildly on the ground.

Even abandoning their blades—the two must have already gone to meet the Sage of Six Paths.

Recalling how he'd stabbed Ao in the kidney with a poisoned senbon, Feng Bai was certain the group should now be walking shoulder to shoulder into the afterlife.

The annihilation of the Seven Ninja Swordsmen completely shattered Kirigakure's will to fight. Convinced their counterattack had failed, Kirigakure withdrew all personnel that very night.

When Danzō personally led a team there the next day, only devastation remained.

However, even so, when Konoha sent envoys to negotiate with Kirigakure Village, the latter stubbornly insisted the war was not over and expelled the envoys.

Kirigakure Village's discourteous behavior angered the usually good-natured Hiruzen Sarutobi, but Konoha truly lacked the capability for naval warfare at this time and could only choose to maintain the status quo.
