Chapter 177: Bianca Is Kind of Adorable
"Oh my God, I totally forgot about you, honey." Rigby's reaction left Daisy utterly speechless.
She stared at her husband, eyes wide, as if silently asking—
Are you serious right now?
But more importantly, she wasn't about to let Bianca get away with this.
Back in the day, Daisy had been a cheerleader—her physical condition wasn't bad.
Since her useless husband was clearly no help, she decided to handle it herself.
---
Unlike the original storyline, William didn't immediately drag Bianca away.
In his eyes, there was no need.
---
Meanwhile, Bianca seemed a bit frozen in place—like she hadn't thought past the moment of throwing that punch.
She just stood there, slightly dazed.
Seeing Daisy's fist about to swing back toward Bianca's face—
William finally moved.
In a motion too quick for an ordinary person to clearly follow, he stepped in beside Bianca—
and casually caught Daisy's punch.
The moment her fist struck his palm, Daisy felt like she'd hit solid steel.
A sharp pain shot through her hand instantly.
"Fuck!"
She clutched her fist, wincing.
Behind William, Bianca immediately rushed forward.
"Shit—are you okay?!"
She grabbed his hand anxiously, checking it as if he might've been hurt.
In reality, Daisy's punch couldn't even make William feel pain—
but Bianca's concern still warmed him a little.
"I'm fine."
Then William looked at Daisy, his expression turning cold.
"We're all civilized people here. Let's talk things out—no need to jump straight to violence."
"Fuck that! Then why does she get to hit me?!" Daisy shouted, pointing at Bianca.
William shrugged, completely unapologetic.
"Because I'm biased. Go ahead—call your lawyer if you want."
His tone was openly provocative.
To him, laws didn't really mean much.
Even if this escalated, at worst it'd be a fine—and that depended on whether Daisy could even afford a decent lawyer.
Money?
That wasn't something he lacked.
Hearing him stand up for her so bluntly, Bianca felt a quiet warmth in her chest.
But Daisy was furious.
This was outright humiliation.
"Fine! Just you wait! I'm calling my lawyer right now! Bianca—you're getting sued!"
She stormed back into the house to grab her phone.
As Daisy disappeared inside—
Rigby, unbelievably, acted like nothing had happened.
He turned to Bianca, his expression almost… interested.
"So, how've you been, Bianca? And this is… your brother?"
William and Bianca had similar hair color, so Rigby jumped to the wrong conclusion.
It was almost laughable.
The couple really suited each other.
Daisy had been hit—he didn't care.
His kid was crying nearby—he didn't care.
In fact, he seemed annoyed.
"Stop crying. Go find your mom," he snapped.
Then he turned back to Bianca, smiling again.
William didn't even need to think to know what was going through this guy's head.
Same type as those men who already had a wife—
yet still chased after old flames.
Pathetic.
Honestly, people like that always seemed to find each other.
Craig's wife wasn't any better either—just like Daisy, cut from the same cloth.
Back in high school, they were probably the kind who made life miserable for others.
---
"This is my boyfriend, Rigby! And I suggest you stop getting any ideas, you piece of trash!"
Bianca hooked her arm tightly around William's and flipped Rigby off.
It was nothing like the quiet, well-behaved girl he remembered.
The change caught him completely off guard.
Of course, Bianca hadn't always been like this—
but William had drawn out that hidden, rebellious side of her.
And honestly, he was quite satisfied with the result.
Still, when Rigby awkwardly scratched his head and muttered something about checking on Daisy before retreating inside—
Bianca finally let out a long breath.
"How was I just now? Did I look intimidating enough?"
It was obvious—she'd been forcing it.
For a moment, William couldn't help but find her… adorable.
For someone in her thirties, her reactions felt almost youthful.
"Let's go," he said, slipping an arm around her waist.
"Wait—we're just leaving like this?" Bianca looked a little lost.
She hadn't planned anything today—just acted on impulse.
"Well, you already punched her. If we don't leave now, when do we leave?" William smiled faintly.
The real reason?
He didn't feel like sticking around to deal with trash like them.
The moment Daisy had gone back inside to grab her phone, William had already used Metal Control to disable it.
Call a lawyer?
Not happening.
Even the landline wasn't spared—he'd severed the wiring from outside.
Power lines too.
---
Partly to cause trouble for Daisy.
Partly to buy time.
Later tonight, he planned to have someone pay her a visit—
just enough to teach her who she shouldn't mess with.
"Holy shit—then we should go, now!" Bianca finally snapped back to reality.
She grabbed William's hand and hurried toward the AMG.
Honestly, every little reaction she had just made her seem even more endearing.
Even to someone like William, who had lived two lifetimes.
After getting into the car, instead of heading straight home, he pulled into a quiet, nearly deserted parking lot.
"Hm? Why are we stopping here?" Bianca looked around, puzzled by the emptiness.
Then turned back toward him—
Only to find William already leaning in, seatbelt undone.
"Simple," he said softly.
"Because I want you."
Before she could fully process it, he kissed her.
At first, Bianca looked a little stunned—
but it didn't take long for her to respond.
She reached up, cupping his face, pulling him closer.
William's hand brushed gently along her slightly tired, yet still beautiful face—
there was something fragile about her, something real.
Time passed quickly.
Before they knew it—
three hours had gone by.
If it weren't summer, the windows would've been completely fogged up.
Even so…
this AMG was definitely going to need a deep interior cleaning afterward.
