Chapter 27 - Chapter 27: Review (Part 2)

A somewhat bald wizard slowly opened his mouth, with a trace of profundity in his voice:

"I have also inspected his fate... Very clean. Within the traceable time range, no traces of contact with any unknown powerful entities were found."

Hearing these words, the other wizards couldn't help but cast envious glances.

Both time-related witchcraft and fate-related witchcraft are extremely complex, detectable only by a Sixth Level Wizard, and much deeper and more difficult to disguise than the previous methods.

Even though everyone present is a genius capable of advancing to Fifth Level Wizard, there are still differences between geniuses.

Obviously, this bald wizard is the most talented person present.

"What about the dean?" A voice raised the last crucial question.

Through the previous rounds of examination, Jeming's situation is theoretically confirmed, but to be safe, the highest level of verification is still necessary.

This so-called highest level of verification often requires touching the Plane Origin.

This can only be accomplished by the dean who actually controls the entire plane.

In the void, an emotionless piece of information transmitted by powerful Spiritual Power directly responded to this question:

[Checked the Plane Origin data. In the past hundred years, no traces of invasion by external high-level life or Energy were found.]

Upon hearing this highest-level confirmation, the wizards present all nodded.

The bald wizard then drew a conclusion: "Then, it can basically be confirmed that this Apprentice is not a spy of other civilizations, or a pawn remotely controlled by an unknown powerful entity. Unless the entity contacting him is above Ninth Level Wizard..."

At this point, before the bald wizard could react, some of the other wizards couldn't help but laugh.

Ninth Level Wizard, that is a legendary existence, the council leader ruling over the entire Wizard Civilization, a power standing at the pinnacle of countless planes.

For some reasons, theoretically, the power of a Ninth Level Wizard is infinitely great.

If there really exists such a powerful being beyond comprehension controlling an apprentice, then even if they found clues, they would have to pretend not to see, or even play along with that being's mischievousness to humor it.

But, unfortunately, from the current theoretical standpoint, it is almost impossible for there to be an existence surpassing a Ninth Level Wizard.

So it can be basically assumed that Jeming is not a spy or a traitor.

However, at this moment, a voice broke the relatively calm conclusion.

"I heard that the material's nature is very special, even the wizards from the Deep Red Royal Court are alerted and want to spend a lot of resources to buy it..."

Although not explicitly stated, the unrepressed greed in the tone already indicated the speaker's thoughts.

As soon as this was said, the atmosphere in the secret chamber instantly dropped to freezing point.

Professor Clark—the wizard with a slightly bald-looking back slowly turned around.

Though his face remained hidden in shadow, his gaze pierced through the robe's barrier, like two cold sharp swords shooting towards the wizard who spoke.

His voice, no longer a deep inquiry but laced with undisguised sarcasm:

"Forcing knowledge from a non-spy, non-traitor wizard?"

He slowly said, each word hitting the ground like ice: "You want to openly violate the Star Orbit Arbitration Court's established covenant? If you're not afraid of being locked on by those nine council members' Dimensional Reduction Judgment, then... be my guest."

The proposing wizard's body stiffened, like doused with a bucket of cold water, instantly extinguished.

The Star Orbit Arbitration Court, a supreme supervisory body composed of nine Ninth Level Wizards.

Legend has it that they possess terrifying authority to alter reality, plus the infinite power represented by Ninth Level Wizards themselves, thus genuinely ruling the entire Wizard Civilization.

The original intent of the arbitration court, besides balancing the internal power factions of the Wizard Civilization, was more importantly, to protect the right of wizards to possess and research their own knowledge.

Since the Ninth Level Wizards in the arbitration court see both Eighth Level Wizards and Wizard Apprentices as ants they can crush with one hand, they can actually supervise most fairly.

Because of the arbitration court's existence, High Tier Wizards cannot arbitrarily deprive Low Tier Wizards of research results or forcibly acquire their core knowledge.

This fair supervision is the cornerstone for the continual emergence of new knowledge in the Wizard World, maintaining vitality.

It's also the fundamental reason for the continuous forward development of the Wizard World, even waging wars in Multi-Dimensional Planes.

Many of the wizards present themselves had enjoyed the protection of the arbitration court's covenant during their apprentice or low-level stage, knowing well the consequences of crossing this red line.

A voice with clear sarcasm broke the silence: "Don't act as if you've discovered some earth-shattering secret. That material is indeed somewhat special, but it's only at the level of Fifth Level Material, right? Just highly corrosion-resistant, but with such poor physical and energy resistance."

Speaking this, the tone shifted, with a pride only peers could understand: "Which of us here wasn't a genius back then? Creating a Fifth Level Material, what's that? Besides, don't we in Nolun Academy have a super genius who crafted a Sixth Level Material during his apprentice stage?"

With this statement, all wizards involuntarily turned their eyes towards the slightly bald back of Professor Clark, their eyes filled with complex emotions of reverence, curiosity, and a hint of hidden wariness.

Professor Clark appeared quite indifferent to these looks, his face hidden in the shadows still expressionless.

He looked at the image of Jeming on the light screen, his tone returning to the original calm and objective.

"Since it's confirmed that the Apprentice is a genius, and has qualified crisis management ability, able to make calm judgments and decisive actions, demonstrating a potential worth cultivating."

He paused: "Then, I propose to initiate a Second Level Cultivation Agreement with this Apprentice."

A Second Level Cultivation Agreement means the academy will invest more resources, provide them better mentor guidance, higher quality cultivation environment, and more prioritized resource allocation, to accelerate their growth.

The other wizards had no objections.

The threat was eliminated, the interests can't be forcibly taken, what's left is a genius worthy of investment.

From the beginning, the reason they gathered here wasn't some bizarre material, but to determine if this person had investment value.

A silent vote occurred among the wizards.

The result came out quickly, the proposal passed with a significant majority, even the wizard who coveted Jeming's achievements earlier voted in favor.

"Agreement activated. Inform the relevant departments and mobilize resources," Professor Clark finally announced.

The light screen slowly dimmed, the secret chamber was engulfed in darkness, and the wizards' figures gradually dispersed.
